“Tessa was such a huge help today when, last minute, we needed someone to walk our Sella. Sella clearly took to Tessa immediately. We’ll definitely reach out to Tessa again- thanks Tessa!!”

About: I’ve had animals from childhood and love learning about all of their special requirements so that they thrive and are happy. I’ve received multiple trainings in pet first aid and never leave the house without being prepared. I have room in my schedule morning, lunch, and evening walks and feeding. I have limited space to take your dog to my home for boarding. I have plenty of property but would keep your dog on a leash when going outside. I have two dogs who are very dog friendly and make friends easily. They just love to chase the ball and love life. I am extremely conscientious; my dogs are very well cared for. I bring that same level of care to everything that I do.

“David is a very reliable and dedicated walker. He pays close attention to weather conditions and adjusts routes as needed. Nala’s health has improved significantly since she started walking with David!”

“Elisha always gives my little girl extra love and attention. Even plays with her puzzles when she's not wanting to walk. We will miss her and know that she will continue to be a blessing to all her future clients wherever she goes.”

“Robin was exactly on time for her first walk with our 6-month old Izzy. Izzy loves every dog or person she meets. so I wasn't surprised when she greeted Robin affectionately. After a few minutes of instruction, they were off for their first walk together. When they returned, Robin described their adventure in detail. She was articulate and accurate, given Izzy's typical behavior (for example: she doesn't "get" that a dog growling at her means "keep away." }. Big news: Izzy must have felt very comfortable with Robin, since this was the very first time that she peed on-leash during a dog walk away from our yard. I felt extremely comfortable with Robin also and would recommend her highly. I will use her again, for sure!”

“Our dog Whiskey has already become fond of Christina and their walks together. Christina is a great communicator and reliable dog walker. I look forward to booking Christina more and maybe future overnights too. She is a wonderful, friendly and clearly great with pets and highly recommend.”

About: Rhinebeck local with a 30 minute lunch break. Available for overnight in-home and/or dog walking services. Experience with giving oral medication. Big dogs and puppies welcome! Kitties and small animals, too! Minimal experience with reptiles (only leopard geckos) but I can watch them with care instructions. Generally I work early morning to early afternoon. No earlier than 5:30 and no later than 6:00 p.m. Weekends included. My days off are usually Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday. There are some exceptions as my schedule varies week to week. But I can and frequently do work around customers' schedules, especially with advanced notice! I am diligent in keeping an eye on animals in the home. Especially puppies/potty training animals. When we are out taking a walk (for dogs) I will cross to the other side of the street and not greet other dogs, even if yours is friendly. Better to be safe than sorry! Same goes for dog parks. We can go, but I will keep a close eye on any animals and leave if things get too hot.

About: My husband and I are dog lovers, who grew up with medium to large dogs most of our lives. We have a large yard (with an invisible/electric fence only) and take our dogs for regular walks, so we'd bring your dog along too! We have a 10 year old, playful, friendly Golden Retriever, named Honey. We also recently added a 6 yr old hound dog to our family. He's very sweet and very howly when he encounters other people and dogs. It's how he shows his excitement. He is a big dog, so he has quite the loud howl! He does calm down eventually and has been doing great with other dogs who have come to stay with us. If the weather is nice and we can pull it off, we find something exciting to do with the dogs (I.e. dog parks or a swim in the river). We also have a young child, who is very dog friendly. Your dog must also be comfortable around young children. I'm home all day on weekdays plus Saturdays and Sundays, for the most part, so I am able to let your dog out as needed. We have a large unfenced yard, with an invisible/electric fence only. If your dog is familiar with using an electric fence then we have an extra collar to accommodate use of that fence system. If your dog is not familiar with using an electric fence then we have options to ensure your pet's safety, which we have been very successful with. If your dog needs to be crated, I can accommodate that as well.

“We are so grateful for Emily! What a treasure. Our boys LOVE her. She is so reliable, takes amazing care of our boys and just a lovely person. We are so thrilled to have found her and can give her a great reference. Don’t hesitate!”

“Grace is great with our energetic 1 year old corgi. She is on time and stays in communication about her schedule. After giving a few walks on leash she developed enough rapport with our dog to walk off leash on trails and get some running in. She was thoughtful about safety and checked with us first about safe off leash areas, including around water. We'll definitely use her again.”

“Katherine far exceeded any expectations I had for my dog’s care. Katherine always changed the water and put out a lunch I would leave for my dog as well as a biscuit when she left…Katherine gave nice long walks and was always on time and usually gave more than the normal 30 minutes! Sadie loved her…I’ll be using Katherine again!”

About: I specialize in attentive, stress-free cat care, with a deep understanding of feline behavior and needs. I’ve also cared for dogs and know how to ensure they feel safe, seen, and comfortable. My calm presence and attention to detail set me apart when it comes to compassionate, reliable pet care. My schedule allows for catering to all of a pet's needs: feeding, grooming, walking, playing and enrichment, medication administration, etc. I can also do multiple drop-ins per day/extended drop-ins for pets that need company throughout the day. I live in an apartment complex, so I would not be able to host your pet in my home, but I have reliable transport at and would love to come to you!

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life. I’ve helped walk, play, bathe and feed relatives/friends pets as well. I’ve also have done hands on interactive training with my dogs. I’m a recent college graduate looking for activities that I can make money and enjoy doing! I work nights at a restaurant so I am free during daytime. 🌞 I am very calm and know how to read pets. I’m willing to read the situation and take your word on how to best care for your pet family.

About: I genuinely love all animals! If I could have 10 dogs, I would. Over the last 15 years I’ve cared for family and friends pets whenever needed, welcoming them into my home or visiting theirs. I love small dogs, big dogs, high energy dogs or low. I can adapt to almost any pets needs, frequent walks, extra snuggles, administer medicines, providing treats, and extra attention. I can’t wait to snuggle and spoil your fur baby. I lost my greater swiss mountain dog in July of 2024, and quickly realized life without a dog wasn’t for me. I adopted a new pup in October. We are excited to welcome your pup into the mix! I’m a teacher with all summer off, so I have unlimited flexibility during the summer months (July and August). During the school year, I work 7am-3pm on weekdays. My yard is unfenced, but your pup will be offered frequent walks and potty breaks. My dog and I spend hours of time outside every day. We walk the trails in our neighborhood and often go to local parks to explore different places. I typically follow your every directive because all dogs needs are different. If you tell me your dog doesn’t enjoy the heat of the summer, we will be couch potatoes in the air conditioning. You know your pup best, so please reach out with any important information I should know! I’m happy to accommodate.

Kelly spends quality time with Stella , taking her for walks and sitting with her to make sure she’s comfortable and safe. Shanna G.
“Furever Care was referred to us last year after needing an overnight dog sitter as my son was getting married out of town. When we met Shanna, I just had that "gut feeling" that she was going to be perfect for our two dogs. One a lovable chocolate lab and the other a rescue mix from Mississippi who was still very terrified of people from whatever he endured in his first months of being a stray puppy with his siblings. :( She was very calm, patient and gentle with both dogs. While we were out of town, she emailed me updates and pictures as to how they were doing, what they were doing and how they were all getting along. I was able to enjoy my son's wedding without having to worry or stress about how our dogs were doing. I felt completely relaxed. My daughter is getting married at the end of September and Furever Care will be here again! Shanna is awesome!!!”
