“With my one dog we needed someone to stay with her for the day, just to help keep an eye on her & keep her content with her routine. Meretta was so good with our dogs & helped our one dog cope with me being gone for the day. She also helped our skittish cat feel safe with her & helped him warm up to her during her stay. I loved how aware she was when any of our pets were feeling anxious & helped them work through it to feel safe with her in our own home.”

“Kelsey was great to work with and our pets were well taken care of! She kept us updated throughout our trip and left the house in perfect condition. Will be booking her again when we need it!”

About: My husband and I have had dogs big and small growing up so we’re very familiar with their mannerisms, behavior and unique personalities. We’ve had our own dogs for four years and love them dearly, they’re our babies! I’m currently a stay-at-home mom so I am available and pretty flexible for the most part throughout the day. My dogs help me around the house as I get things done. I have a fenced in yard with two of my own dogs to keep yours company! Occasionally I let the dogs inside to hang out and eat, or depending on the weather to keep warm/cool. At bedtime I bring them in to sleep in their dog crate.
About: A lifelong animal lover with hands-on care experience since age eight, I’ve been a dedicated dog mom for 10 years and am currently enrolled in professional puppy training courses, bringing fresh skills and reliable, loving care to your pets. Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily routine! Working part-time gives me plenty of flexibility to devote quality time to your animals. Because my own dogs follow a structured feeding and activity schedule, I understand how vital consistency is and will happily mirror your exact daily routine. Your Pet and Homes safety and peace of mind are my top priorities. Though I don't host pets in my home, I love drop-in visits and house sitting, keeping your pets safe and comfortable in their familiar surroundings. Trusted regularly by friends and neighbors, I'm reliable, attentive, and dedicated to treating your home and animals with complete care and respect.

“Olivia did a fantastic job taking care of our dogs! She spent time with them, took them for daily walks, sent us updates with pictures, and was very reliable and responsive to texts. We highly recommend her and will be using her services again!!”

“Brody was a fantastic sitter for our fur babies! He kept us updated with pictures and texts, and was extremely communicative overall. He was very respectful of our home and space, and we would use his services again in the future. Fantastic experience working with him!”

About: I have taken care of all my friends and family's pets for as long as I can remember. I love dogs and cats! I have done month long stays at people's houses and I have also done the quick stop ins for potty breaks and feedings. I am currently not working so I have all the time to take care of your pets! I can do quick drop ins, long walks, overnight stays, whatever you need! I like to follow your pets routine. If they are used to morning walks and daily training I will happily do that! If they are more of a couch potato and like to snuggle, I will sit with them for as long as you'd like.
“Mark did a great job taking care of my pets. I felt safe leaving them with him. I especially liked receiving daily videos. It was reassuring to see my sensitive dog smiling. Mark also left left the house clean which I appreciated.”

About: I have grown up surrounded by animals! My family has always had cats or dogs in our house. This has taught me to care deeply for animals and provide the best care possible. For the past 4 years, I have regularly pet-sat for many families in my hometown and also spent a lot of time at the South Utah Valley Animal Shelter, where I take dogs for walks and treat them to special days outside the shelter. I truly love spending time with animals and would be so excited to care for your pets! I work and have classes during the day on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I am available in the evenings. Aside from those days, I have a very flexible schedule and am available to help care for your pets whenever you need! While I am unable to bring pets back to my apartment, I am happy to care for them in the comfort of their own home or take them on fun and safe day trips! I always want to give your pets my full attention and create a calm, loving environment where they feel comfortable and at ease. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, cared for, and have plenty of fun while you are away!

About: I love to run and be active with your dog! I have lived with and taken care of dogs since I was 18. I have lived with 4 dogs, ranging in size from 3-80 pounds, and my experience includes walking, bathing, toe-nail clipping, training, etc. I’ve also had the pleasure of caring for many pets through Rover! Weekends are especially flexible. Let’s work together. Safety is my number one concern. Pets are our best friends, just like family members. I always am very careful with objects and stairs within the home, and hazards (especially the road and other animals) outside the home.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She stayed in our home for a week while we were on vacation and took amazing care of our French Bulldog, Tomas. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in his own environment with someone who truly cared for him. She kept us updated with messages and photos, followed all of Tomas’s routine and instructions, and treated our home with respect. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog and a house that was just as clean as when we left. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals, and Tomas was comfortable and well cared for the entire time. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter.”

About: I owned pets my entire life, i had two small dogs that i love. i trained my puppy different commands and my other dog was a senior dog she lived until 19ish years maybe 20. i volunteer at different animal shelters occasionally. I love cats and dogs they’re my favorite i am currently working part time at a coffee shop, my hours are pretty flexible and i am in college. so i still have a flexible schedule but there will be times during the day i wont be able to check in. and i will have to go back and forth throughout the day, longest amount of hours id be gone is probably around 4. i live in an apartment that doesn’t allow pets, so i would have to stop by clients homes if they allow me and would prefer that. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Santaquin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Santaquin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Santaquin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
