About: Hi, I’m Nyeira! As a dedicated pet owner and animal lover, I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. My goal is to provide the same level of care, attention, and love that I would want for my own dogs. I’ve been caring for dogs for over 8 years and currently have three dogs of my own. Two were adopted from shelters, and one was a stray I rescued while in college. Caring for pets from different backgrounds has taught me patience, consistency, and how to help animals feel safe and comfortable in new situations. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with their dogs and cats because they know I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and take their care seriously. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior companions, and I am comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply sticking to their usual routine, I will make sure they receive personalized care and attention. I am experienced with dogs of all sizes, although I generally prefer working with dogs under 80 pounds. Communication is extremely important to me. As a pet parent myself, I know how reassuring it is to receive updates while you’re away. You can expect consistent communication, photos, and updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I currently have open availability and ask that bookings or cancellations be made at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible. I am dependable, attentive, and committed to making every pet feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I have a very flexible schedule and am available both weekdays and weekends, with open availability throughout the day to accommodate your pet’s needs. I am able to provide care in the form of house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, depending on what works best for you and your pet. While I do not offer boarding in my home, I am fully committed to caring for pets in their familiar environment where they feel most comfortable. I am adaptable with timing and happy to follow your preferred schedule and routine to ensure consistency and comfort for your pet. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care whenever you need it, with clear communication and dependable availability. I prioritize safety, trust, and consistency in every pet care situation. While I do not offer boarding in my own home, I provide care in the client’s home through house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks so pets can remain in a familiar and comfortable environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all provided instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication routines, exercise needs, and any specific behavioral or comfort preferences. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine and personality to ensure they feel safe and secure while their owner is away. I am experienced with dogs of all ages and am comfortable administering medications when needed. I also provide consistent updates, including messages and photos, so pet parents can feel confident and reassured while they are away. My goal is always to create a calm, trustworthy presence for pets—minimizing stress by maintaining their normal routine and treating their space and care instructions with respect and attentiveness.
“Michelle was absolutely amazing - she was flexible with us and so loving with our dogs! It was our first time working with her and she’ll be our #1 go to sitter from now on. Thank you so much for giving us so much happiness and peace of mind during our travels - it means the world to us to have a caregiver like you!??❤️”

“Norman was such a great experience for my big special boy. There was so much consideration to his needs and habits, as well as our training work. I got loads of photos and videos and I know my big boy was loved during my trip. Highly recommend Norman! ❤️”

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with small dogs, and over the years I've lived with and cared for cats and medium to large dogs owned by family, roommates, and neighbors. Today I own two cats and regularly watch friends' pets when they travel. I'm comfortable with pets of all sizes and I treat every pet in my care the way I'd want mine treated. I currently work from home, which means pet care fits naturally into my day rather than being squeezed in around a commute. I'm able to visit at consistent times for feedings, walks, and playtime, and I'm flexible enough to adjust visit times if a pet needs extra attention or a different routine. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routines and rules as closely as possible so the pet's environment stays familiar and low-stress. I always confirm entry/exit procedures, secure doors and gates behind me, and check that food, water, and litter are addressed on schedule. I treat each home with the same care and respect I'd want for my own, and I stay attentive to a pet's body language and comfort level throughout each visit, always reaching out to the owner if anything seems off.
About: I am a nature lover! I enjoy taking my dogs, Rosemary & Kuzca, on exciting hikes and engaging adventures. We love visiting the river, the dog park, hitting nature trails around town, and quality play time at home. I also love cuddling up with my cat, Bee, when she will let me! I have always loved animals and wanted animal companions since I was a child. From dogs & cats to birds to snakes, the list of animals I’ve had under my care goes on. One thing that sets me apart is my desire to provide exquisite care for my furry/scaly/feathered friends. Every animal deserves to live a high quality life and it brings me so much joy to provide them with that. I continuously grow as a pet parent. I’m always researching new ways to improve my care techniques by staying up to date on things like nutrition, stimulation, and training. I work from home and decide my own schedule so I have a lot of flexibility in how I want to shape my day. This makes it so convenient for taking care of fur babies! We have a fenced yard that is perfect for a short zoomie sesh. Plus we have a gated dog park in our community that we frequent. I always try and incorporate as much outside time as possible.

I am also an accomplished foster who has hosted everything from queen cats nursing kittens to weaned kittens, puppies, dogs, and senior animals. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities and I approach every animal with fear-free handling! Lifelong animal lover and former small business owner, I've spent years working with animals of all kinds through veterinary medicine, 4-H, fostering, and therapeutic horseback riding programs. My flexible schedule allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day, and Blink cameras throughout my home help me monitor pets whenever I'm away briefly. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of love, enrichment, exercise, and individualized attention. Located near nature trails and a large enclosed outdoor area, I offer a safe, comfortable environment where your furry family members can relax, play, and feel right at home. My schedule is very flexible and I am able to take breaks as needed throughout my work days. I do not work on weekends, so I am always at home to attend to the critters! I am also available holidays. With experience caring for orphaned animals daily, including those requiring medications and specialized care, I prioritize your pet's health, safety, and happiness. My flexible schedule, attentive monitoring, and pet-friendly space with enrichment activities, cozy resting areas, and nearby outdoor access ensure your beloved companion receives compassionate, professional care while you're away. 🐾

“Regina was so great with our puppy. She was very communicative, sent pictures and videos, and truly cared about our dog’s wellbeing. I would highly recommend her for your pet’s care.”

About: I've always had dogs and cats and have taken care all through their senior years. My last two dogs had gone deaf and blind. I've taken care of pets for friends and family including pets that have medical issues like epilepsy or fractured pelvis. Currently just have 2 cats and a rambunctious Shih-Poo puppy. The cats come in and out of doggy door, but will be enclosed in my room when boarding dogs. Puppy is high energy at the moment but if he becomes a pain/annoying to boarded dogs, I will send puppy to my granddaughter. Currently Retired and pretty much home all the time. I go for walks in the mornings. Dog park in neighborhood. If allowed, can take them for pup cups in car. I have a high fenced medium backyard and medium size doggy door. I will administer medications per instructions. I have had to chase a few dogs when they jumped a fence (not mine, too high) or dug under.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Stephanie! She took such wonderful care of our two pups while we were away, sending frequent updates and the sweetest pictures that gave us total peace of mind. It was so comforting to know they were not only well cared for but truly loved while we were gone. On top of that, we came home to a spotless house. Stephanie went above and beyond in every way. We’re so grateful for her thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and genuine care. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and all-around amazing sitter!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sandy Fork walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sandy Fork maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sandy Fork choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
