About: My first business venture, in elementary school, started with posting flyers in my neighborhood for my dog-walking business, to prove to my parents that I could take care of a family dog if we were to get one. It worked; we got our first family dog, and have been a dog family ever since! Now I have my own golden retriever named Koa who is the light of my life, loves coming with me anywhere he is allowed, and has yet to meet a stranger. I always have a surplus of love to give, especially when it comes to animals, and my post-pandemic job now provides me with plenty of flexibility. Let me love on your fur baby, too! My job is very flexible, so it’s easy for me to add things to my agenda day-of. I enjoy the spontaneity and adventure of this side-hustle. When you’re not home, your dog misses you. I’m just there to make them feel safe and connected to someone in the meantime. I take that responsibility seriously.

I spend most of my time outdoors anyway (turns out fresh air is much better for creativity than stuffy lecture halls), so having some four-legged companions along for the adventure sounds like a no-brainer. Plus, I've learned that pet adventures are the perfect antidote to writer's block. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe and loved while you're away. I'm experienced with administering medications, maintaining routines, and reading those subtle pet signals that tell you when something's not quite right. My own little crew includes two senior cats (14 and 17) and a wonderfully patient yellow lab who's basically a gentleman and a scholar. One of my cats has special needs, so I'm comfortable with medical care and know how important consistency is for our furry family members.

About: I have loved and cared for animals my entire life which as provided me with extensive experience in ensuring their needs are met and their energy is matched. The safety, happiness, and enrichment of each pet under my care is at the top of my priorities. I am currently approaching my third year at VCU and have been doing routine dog walking for some family friends the entire time I’ve been enrolled. I have built my schedules while having time for pet care and taking walks in mind. My ability to read the personality and cues of pets is quite good and I use that to my advantage when coming into their space and interacting with them. I also have experienced multiple scenarios where I needed to protect my dog walking dog from someone else’s off leash pet, and have been able to do so while de-escalating the situation.
About: Over the years I have had several cats. They have their own unique personalities and are very loving. My last cat I lost due to cancer, Sam was loved and still miss him greeting me at the door. I feel strongly that if you don’t treat your animals as family you shouldn’t have them. I am available everyday except Saturday the exception would be if I am taking care of your pet for the week I will include Saturday as well. I will take care of your pet as I would my own. I will give your pet the attention beyond what is needed. I know your pet will miss his/her master however I will ease this by playing with them, petting and reassuring their safety and make sure they eat. Your instruction will be followed completely. I will communicate after each visit so you will have peace of mind.
