“We appreciated and were so thankful that Barbara was able to watch our 5 yr. old Jojo on short notice. Barbara and Jojo seemd comfortable with each other as soon as they met. Although we were only gone for the day, Barbara sent photos and let us know that Jojo had adjusted quickly. Barbara was friendly and welcoming and we were able to spend our day without worrying. We will definetly ask Barbara to watch Jojo again.”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. For over 20 years, I’ve trained many dogs small and large including bully breeds, giving me hands-on experience with everything from playful puppies to strong, high-energy adults and gentle senior dogs. What makes me different from other sitters is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s how my family and I live every day. On our family farm, we have dogs of our own, along with sheep, chickens, cats, turtles, horses, and pigs. Managing and loving this many animals has taught me how to handle all personalities, safely introduce new pets, and keep everyone happy and stress-free. I’m comfortable with training reinforcement, senior pet care, and even administering medications when needed. When your furry friend stays with us, they’re not just looked after—they’re welcomed into a safe, loving home where animals are treated like family. Animals aren’t just part of my routine—they are my routine. Living on a farm with dogs, sheep, chickens, cats, turtles, horses, and pigs means caring for animals is how we start and end every day. Feeding, walking, playing, and checking in on each one is second nature. Because animals are already a full-time part of our life, adding your pet into our routine is seamless. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday playtime, or evening cuddles, your furry friend will get plenty of attention and love throughout the day. Our home sits on a beautiful 2-acre property right in the center of town, surrounded by large pine and eucalyptus trees that keep the property shaded and cool almost year-round. We’ve designed our farm to be safe and comfortable for pets of all kinds. There are secure, fenced areas where dogs can run and play freely, as well as plenty of quiet, shaded spots for resting outdoors. Inside, we have cozy, pet-friendly spaces for naps, snuggles, or crate time if that’s what your dog prefers. Because we live and work from home, your pets will have near-constant companionship and care. Our own dogs are friendly and social, and we carefully manage introductions to make sure every guest feels safe, relaxed, and loved.

“Sophie took Winnie on short notice today and as usual, Winnie came home being well cared for. Our Tucson trip has been much enhanced with Adrian and Sophie’s care for our dog. Thank you so much again. ❤️”

“Lesley has been great with Snowball multiple times. Very caring and accommodating for last minute circumstances (on my end). I trust her and appreciate everything she's done for my pup!”

“Stephanie and her husband were amazing! We had driven down from Phoenix to hike for the day near Tucson and didn’t realize our pup wasn’t allowed on the hike we’d decided to do... We were able to book with Stephanie last minute and she did a great job taking care of Rosie on such short notice! Would highly recommend and wish we lived closer so we could use their services regularly! They also were masked the entire time we interacted, which I appreciated!”

I provide regular photo and text updates to keep pet owners reassured. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet to see if we’re a good fit! Rover is my full-time job and I have a lot of free time! My day is always planned around pet care including dog walks, grooming and training. I love caring for pets and I have all day to spend with yours! I tailor my care to meet the specific needs of each pet individually. My priority is to make your pet as comfortable as possible. I always take special care to consider their specific feeding schedules, any special dietary needs, exercise routines/preferences and behavioral tendencies. I am always professional and compassionate regardless of where I am caring for pets.

“My wife and I were visiting Tucson for a week's worth of classes and needed doggie day care for our two 10-year old Poms during a heat wave. I picked Jennie based on her proximity to our event location and her astonishingly high number of repeat clients giving her uniformly excellent reviews. They were not wrong. We introduced our boys a day early to her home and her dog, Woody, plus another client dog and got to see right away the care and attention to detail Jennie puts into every aspect of caring for other people's dogs. She showed us and the boys around her house in a specific path, designed to ease the boys into the new surroundings and carefully controlled how all the dogs met each other for the first time. Jennie has a full roster of regular day care clients and integrated our visiting dogs in perfectly. Jennie was attentive to all our requests for managing food, scheduling, and reporting on the day. She sent a consistent stream of pictures and a few videos. We were able to pay full attention to our class, knowing that our boys were being very well cared for all the time. I only wish Jenny and her husband lived in California near us so we could use her services more! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Five stars is five stars too few.”

About: I work from home 100% of the time, and am around to make sure your pet gets all the love they deserve. Illness prevention: I wash hands before and after seeing pets and entering others homes. I’m more than happy to follow additional COVID measures if you request. Now to the fun stuff! Honestly, you’d be doing me a favor by letting me take care of your dogs and pets. I currently have a cat with three legs and I live for the unconditional love that pets provide. I give all that love right back, plus some! I have experienced both the responsibilities and the rewards of being a pet owner. I also keep aquariums, and have years of experience with fresh water tanks. I’m a plant enthusiast and own my own home. I have lots of room for play time! With a large, completely fenced back yard, and an open concept house, your pup will be right at home! LGBTQ+ friendly only please. I do have a full time job that is all virtual, so most of the time I can set up and work at your house for a longer drop in. Also great for boarding dogs at my house-I can give them as many potty breaks as needed. While this is a second job for me, at times we do reach capacity and have to turn down bookings, so I always am grateful for advanced notice if you need to cancel. Pets in my home are fed separately, and only given treats/ bones under supervision because I recognize that sometimes even the most amazing gently dogs can have some food aggression/resource guarding behaviors. While I do let dogs on furniture and in my bed, I am a fan of crate training and have no problem crating your dog if needed. We are typically a calm quiet household, with the occasional exception of a silly eight year old who gets a little too excited about dogs.
