About: Dogs are lovable and a helping career is fulfilling. By helping humans with their canines I get the best of both worlds! Dogs have always been apart of my life, and recently we had our own 13yo mutt who came as a puppy, had a long full life, and passed away in my husband’s arms. Before that we had another mutt that lived to be 16yo, but she was a pound puppy we got at about 2yo. Also, our dog-niece lived with us for January 2024 while her parents vacationed. I love to love-on peoples’ dogs. Let's chat soon. I’ll be at your home when you need me to care for your feline furbaby. Most cats in my care have been drop-ins, including feeding, watering, and cat box cleaning. Cats with dog siblings have been an occasional treat to care for, as well. About: My love for animals started when I was just 4 or 5 years old! I was given the very important job of letting our neighbor's dog out while they were on vacation (with a little help from my mom, of course! 😉). We had two cats of our own growing up, but I think that little responsibility is what really sparked my love for caring for all animals. Throughout high school, I volunteered whenever I could at a local animal shelter and dreamed of one day opening my own dog training and boarding facility. Life took me in a different direction, and I spent over 10 years pursuing a degree and career outside of animal care. But my love for animals never faded, and I've finally decided to follow that childhood dream! For the past four years, I've been volunteering and fostering dogs through Ruff Start Rescue. Fostering has been such a rewarding experience! I've had the opportunity to welcome dogs into my home, get to know their individual personalities, and provide them with a safe, loving environment while they wait for their forever families. It's taught me so much about patience, understanding, and how every dog has their own unique needs. More recently, I've also started working part-time as a dog handler at Best Furriends Boarding, where I've spent the past two months doing something I absolutely love! Getting to care for dogs, learn their personalities, and help make their time away from home a positive experience has only reassured me that working with animals is where my heart belongs. At home, I'm a proud pet parent to three wonderful rescue fur babies—two dogs and a cat! They're my family, and I know firsthand how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, happy, and loved when you're away. Whether your pet is outgoing and playful or needs a little extra patience and reassurance, my goal is to make them feel comfortable, cared for, and loved just like they would at home. Our senior pup enjoys a calmer environment and appreciates her personal space, while our 3-year-old Shepherd mix is a big, playful sweetheart who loves making furry friends! To keep everyone comfortable and happy, we're currently best suited for laid-back, gentle dogs who respect other dogs' boundaries. We also have the ability to separate the dogs when needed, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my priority. About: Hello! I'm Kaity and I have 20+ years of professional dog training experience. I used to work inside the Federal Prisons in Minnesota teaching inmates how to raise and train service dogs for a local non-profit. I have was also the General Manager at a local pet food store where I educated pet parents daily about nutrition, care and everything in-between. Dogs are my true passion in life. I majored in Animal Science in college and went through a dog training school in North Carolina so I know all about how to handle your pets and make sure they are comfortable in my care. I own a border collie and a golden retriever who keep me on my toes. Dog training is something I no longer do full time as a career so I love being able to offer it to those that need it. I love working with puppies and teaching good habits and behaviors. I have taught dog training classes for over 10 years and enjoy one on one sessions so much more than a big class format so we can focus on exactly what your pup needs. I offer in person training sessions, virtual sessions, outings, as well as drop in training sessions where I work with your dog even if you aren't at home. About: I have 4 playful dogs of my own (and sometimes a foster dog!), worked at a boarding facility a good chunk of my working career. Nice fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood. I currently not taking in-house boarding due to having a foster dog at the moment, can do doggy daycare. * due to having 4 dogs of my own; I do NOT take non-social dogs. I work part time (some full time some weeks) so I am usually available. I am an active person at home playing with my own dogs, my dogs love having friends over. I am not taking in-house boarding appointments due to currently having a foster dog. Dogs have a nice fenced in yard! We pick up poop daily, and there are cameras inside and outside of the house. Frequently provide fresh water.

About: Avid animal lovers, both fur and feathered alike! We are a family of four humans- mom and three children, with several outdoor feathered friends. We are an active household that enjoys many days outside, but also equally loves cuddling up on the couch for a movie night. At night, your pet is welcome to sleep wherever they find it most comfortable (pending they are not destructive overnight). We have had personal pet ownership experience with blindness, deafness, and separation anxiety in dogs. In addition to our own pets, we have also opened our home to foster dogs for several years, specializing and dog reactive dogs, as well as hospice/end of life care. My career consists of over a decade of hospital-based pharmacy experience, and I am now fortunate to currently work from home. With my career and volunteer dog hospice foster experience, I am comfortable and knowledgeable in administering any oral, subcutaneous, and IM medications. - We provide care to one outside family at a time to ensure a stress-free experience for everyone. I do allow exemptions for multifamily households. - We are currently in sports season which means we frequently have dance or cheer on the weekends. During the week, your pet will have someone with them an average of 20 hours a day. Updates are sent in the morning and before bedtime. You are also encouraged and welcome to reach out anytime outside of that. - If your pet does require a crate at any point, please ensure one accompanies them to drop off. We are a home-based boarding experience and do not have commercial kennel runs. Destructive pets will be required to have kennel training. - If your pet has been excused/banned from a commercial boarding facility, I do require a no-cost meet and greet for introductions before confirming the booking. It is my priority to ensure your pet feels safe, and I am confident in their needs before confirming commitment. - Privately insured for household companionship pets, which covers both care during boarding and any agreed-upon transportation. Keywords: home-based, medical needs, special needs, reactive, medication administration. I am generally available to accept same-day bookings as someone who works from home. At this time, my employer allows me to set my own hours, meaning I can easily adapt to your pet's schedule and any medical needs. Bathroom breaks are averaged at every two hours and anytime outside of this at your pup's request. If your pet prefers to spend afternoons in the sun, then that is where I am happy to work that day! We are currently in sports season which means weekends are busy with dance and cheer. During the weekdays your pet will have a human home an average of 20 hours a day. We welcome your pets to rest and sleep wherever they are most comfortable-couch, pet bed, human bed, etc. If you request or your pet requires kenneling at any time, please ensure a kennel accompanies them to drop off. Any destructive pets will be required to be kenneled at sitters discretion.
