About: Hello! I'm Kaity and I have 20+ years of professional dog training experience. I used to work inside the Federal Prisons in Minnesota teaching inmates how to raise and train service dogs for a local non-profit. I have was also the General Manager at a local pet food store where I educated pet parents daily about nutrition, care and everything in-between. Dogs are my true passion in life. I majored in Animal Science in college and went through a dog training school in North Carolina so I know all about how to handle your pets and make sure they are comfortable in my care. I own a border collie and a golden retriever who keep me on my toes. Dog training is something I no longer do full time as a career so I love being able to offer it to those that need it. I love working with puppies and teaching good habits and behaviors. I have taught dog training classes for over 10 years and enjoy one on one sessions so much more than a big class format so we can focus on exactly what your pup needs. About: I've been around pets/animals all my life. My husband and I currently have a black lab. We love to spoil our fur babies and take great care of them with routine vet visits. I have watched my friends and families dogs/pets many times. I work from home so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! We are available for overnight boarding Monday through Friday as well as most weekends. We are also available for day time sitting. We have a large fenced in back yard. Our black lab is not crated. He is very friendly and often compared to a teddy bear and gets along with all dogs.

About: Dogs have been my passion since my earliest memories. When I was a young girl, I was always training my family and friends dogs. I also would take care of my friends dogs when needed. I started to get involved with dog sports around the age of 12. In addition to this, I trained my dog to be a therapy dog. When I was 16 I started to volunteer at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley for a few years before going to college. I graduated from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a degree in Communications and a minor in Leadership. Along the way, I took many classes to learn more about animal behavior and psychology. However, once I graduated, I was at a loss of what to pursue. It was during this time when I stumbled into working for Invisible Fence as a dog trainer. I found my true passion of training dogs through this. I have spent countless hours learning through hands on experience, shadowing other trainers, signing up for seminars/conferences and taking courses through a Pet Professional Program. In addition to this, I read countless books, listened to professional dog trainer podcasts, and watched videos. Now I run my own dog training business called Tator's Training. Pet care is about the well-being of the animal as a whole... starting with nutrition, enrichment, mental stimulation and being active. I have 3 dogs of my own that I work with every day. I target each category (nutrition, enrichment, mental stimulation, physical activity) to make sure their needs are met. I work with dogs daily and have a flexible schedule throughout the week. Every dog is treated like my own. I would never put an animal in a situation that isn't environmentally safe for them or puts them at risk. Safety involves having a safe place, being aware of what a dog is trying to tell you, having water available, following the established nutrition routine, allowing play, freedom (within reason), and providing daily enrichment.
