About: Dogs are lovable and a helping career is fulfilling. By helping humans with their canines I get the best of both worlds! Dogs have always been apart of my life, and recently we had our own 13yo mutt who came as a puppy, had a long full life, and passed away in my husband’s arms. Before that we had another mutt that lived to be 16yo, but she was a pound puppy we got at about 2yo. Also, our dog-niece lived with us for January 2024 while her parents vacationed. I love to love-on peoples’ dogs. Let's chat soon. I’ll be at your home when you need me to care for your feline furbaby. Most cats in my care have been drop-ins, including feeding, watering, and cat box cleaning. Cats with dog siblings have been an occasional treat to care for, as well. About: I have 4 playful dogs of my own (and sometimes a foster dog!), worked at a boarding facility a good chunk of my working career. Nice fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood. I currently not taking in-house boarding due to having a foster dog at the moment, can do doggy daycare. * due to having 4 dogs of my own; I do NOT take non-social dogs. I work part time (some full time some weeks) so I am usually available. I am an active person at home playing with my own dogs, my dogs love having friends over. I am not taking in-house boarding appointments due to currently having a foster dog. Dogs have a nice fenced in yard! We pick up poop daily, and there are cameras inside and outside of the house. Frequently provide fresh water.

About: Avid animal lovers, both fur and feathered alike! We are a family of four humans- mom and three children, with several outdoor feathered friends. We are an active household that enjoys many days outside, but also equally loves cuddling up on the couch for a movie night. At night, your pet is welcome to sleep wherever they find it most comfortable. We have had personal pet ownership experience with blindness, deafness, and separation anxiety in dogs. In addition to our own pets, we have also opened our home to foster dogs for several years, specializing and dog reactive dogs, as well as hospice/end of life care. My career consists of over a decade of hospital-based pharmacy experience, and I am now fortunate to currently work from home. With my career and volunteer dog hospice foster experience, I am comfortable and knowledgeable in administering any oral, subcutaneous, and IM medications. - We provide care to one outside family at a time to ensure a stress-free experience for everyone. I do allow exemptions for multifamily households. - Your pet will have an adult with them for at least 20/24 hours per day. Most updates are sent with morning breakfast, midafternoon rest, and before bedtime. You are also encouraged and welcome to reach out anytime outside of that. - If your pet does require a crate at any point, please ensure one accompanies them to drop off. We are a home-based boarding experience and do not have commercial kennel runs. - If your pet has been excused/banned from a commercial boarding facility, I do require a no-cost meet and greet for introductions before confirming the booking. It is my priority to ensure your pet feels safe, and I am confident in their needs before confirming commitment. - Privately insured for household companionship pets, which covers both care during boarding and any agreed-upon transportation. Keywords: home-based, medical needs, special needs, reactive, medication administration. I am generally available to accept same-day bookings as someone who works from home. At this time, my employer allows me to set my own hours, meaning I can easily adapt to your pet's schedule and any medical needs. Bathroom breaks are averaged at every two hours and anytime outside of this at your pup's request. If your pet prefers to spend afternoons in the sun, then that is where I am happy to work that day! Any pets boarded in our home can expect to have a human home a minimum of 20 out of the 24 hours in a day. We welcome your pets to rest and sleep wherever they are most comfortable- couch, pet bed, human bed, etc. If you request or your pet requires kenneling at any time, please ensure a kennel accompanies them to drop off. Our home is carpet-free (stress-free!), and we understand accidents happen. Please inform me if your pet is working on potty training, and we can reduce the number of rooms initially accessible. Our acreage is unfenced, and dogs have access to the backyard of the property. If your dog is not off-leash trained, we provide a pulley tie-out to allow them a greater range of access. If you are most comfortable with leash walking, that is also just fine with us!

About: I have fostered both dogs and cats in the past. From childhood to the present day, a home is not complete without some form of animal companion. I tend to be an early riser and am very flexible. Cleaning up after myself as well as your pets is my specialty. I enjoy camping and antiquing when there’s no critters to hang out with. I am familiar with many types of leash and collar. I prefer to keep a dog heeled on most of the walk, letting them run and play when it’s appropriate to do so. If you have a preferred method of control I’m happy to accommodate. I’m comfortable giving meds and have experience with all kinds of feeding. When sitting, I’d love to water your plants and get the mail-any little extras that you need. I often take my dad shopping or to doctor’s appointments, and set my own schedule with my other jobs. How long your pets can be left alone (if at all) is up to you! I’m great at following orders, especially written instructions; please tell me how you usually handle your pets so I can keep it consistent for them! I like to go for walks, and like it even more if I have company. I also always enjoy a good snuggle.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and they have always been a big part of my family. I currently have a sweet Yorkie Poo and a gentle Newfoundland, and I truly believe every dog has their own personality, needs, and little quirks that make them special. I have over 5 years of professional dog grooming experience, which has taught me so much about dog behavior, body language, handling, and how to make dogs feel comfortable and safe. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors in all sizes. I also have experience with dogs who need extra patience and care, including dogs recovering from procedures and blind dogs. Besides walks, daycare, and boarding, I can also offer basic maintenance care, such as brushing, baths, nail trimming and grinding, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing, feet - paw and face trimming. I love going on long walks (usually two one-hour walks a day with my own dogs), and I’d love to give your pup the same attention, exercise, and care while you’re away. My goal is for your dog to feel comfortable, loved, and cared for like they’re part of the family. Our day includes two long walks, usually around 8:30 AM and 5 PM to avoid peak heat. We enjoy walks, park visits, playtime, cuddles and enrichment activities throughout the day. I provide a safe, calm home environment with supervision throughout the day. I’m home most of the time, offer structured walks and playtime, and have crates available if dogs need quiet time or separation. While I don’t have a fenced yard, dogs receive plenty of outdoor exercise through secure walks and nearby park visits. I also have experience handling different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities.

About: Dogs have been my passion since my earliest memories. When I was a young girl, I was always training my family and friends dogs. I also would take care of my friends dogs when needed. I started to get involved with dog sports around the age of 12. In addition to this, I trained my dog to be a therapy dog. When I was 16 I started to volunteer at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley for a few years before going to college. I graduated from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a degree in Communications and a minor in Leadership. Along the way, I took many classes to learn more about animal behavior and psychology. However, once I graduated, I was at a loss of what to pursue. It was during this time when I stumbled into working for Invisible Fence as a dog trainer. I found my true passion of training dogs through this. I have spent countless hours learning through hands on experience, shadowing other trainers, signing up for seminars/conferences and taking courses through a Pet Professional Program. In addition to this, I read countless books, listened to professional dog trainer podcasts, and watched videos. Now I run my own dog training business called Tator's Training. Pet care is about the well-being of the animal as a whole... starting with nutrition, enrichment, mental stimulation and being active. I have 3 dogs of my own that I work with every day. I target each category (nutrition, enrichment, mental stimulation, physical activity) to make sure their needs are met. I work with dogs daily and have a flexible schedule throughout the week. Every dog is treated like my own. I would never put an animal in a situation that isn't environmentally safe for them or puts them at risk. Safety involves having a safe place, being aware of what a dog is trying to tell you, having water available, following the established nutrition routine, allowing play, freedom (within reason), and providing daily enrichment.
