About: I’ve spent the past 6–7 years caring for animals through the Kankakee County Humane Foundation, where I’ve worked with dogs and cats of all different sizes, personalities, backgrounds, and comfort levels. I also currently care for boarding pets at VCA County West Animal Hospital and have been pet sitting for several years. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic, playful pups to shy, nervous, or more reserved pets. Being around such a wide variety of animals has taught me how important patience, body language, routine, and earning an animal’s trust truly are. I genuinely adore animals and treat every pet in my care like they’re one of my own. 🐾 I currently work in animal care, so my schedule is consistent and easy to plan around. I’m at the shelter Mondays and Fridays from 7:30 AM–5 PM. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays I work split shifts at VCA from 7:30–11 AM and 4:30–7:30 PM, leaving me available for walks, drop-ins, and pet care during the middle of the day and later evenings. Saturdays I work 7:30–10 AM and 5–7:30 PM, with a large window available in between. I’m also generally available on Sundays and am happy to work with your pet’s routine whenever possible. As I grow my Rover clientele, I’d love to dedicate even more of my schedule to pet sitting and caring for your pets! 🐾 I live in a quiet, friendly neighborhood in Bradley with a fully fenced 4-foot chain-link yard. I have two dogs of my own who are incredibly sweet and friendly, but I understand that not every pet is comfortable around other animals. Introductions would always be done slowly and carefully, and I have a spare bedroom that can be set up as a cozy, quiet space for your pet if they need their own area to relax. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always come first. I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, potty, walking, crate, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. Pets will be supervised while outside, and I’m comfortable keeping animals separated when needed based on personality or comfort level. Because of my years of shelter and animal-hospital experience, I’m used to reading body language, working with nervous or shy pets, and adjusting my approach to what makes each individual animal feel safe. My goal is for your pet to feel secure, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. 🐾

About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years, and my 15-year-old Pomeranian is a very special part of our family. He has been with us for so long that I honestly can’t imagine our home without him. I’m also a mom of three, so we have a busy but loving family home where pets are very much part of everyday life. My kids love dogs, and we’re used to having a furry member of the family around. Having a senior dog has taught me to be patient and pay attention to the little things. I know that older dogs sometimes need a little more rest, more frequent potty breaks, and extra care and attention. We also travel to Egypt and Serbia every year, and my Pomeranian has flown overseas with me many times. I know how much work it can be to travel with a dog, and I also know how hard it is to leave them behind. That’s actually one of the reasons I decided to offer boarding. I’ve had to leave my own dog with people I trusted, and even then, I knew he acted differently because I wasn’t there. I remember wondering if he was okay, if he was comfortable, and if someone was giving him the same attention I would. So when your dog stays with me, I want you to feel comfortable too. I’ll get to know your dog’s routine, personality, feeding schedule and what makes them happy and comfortable. I’ll keep you updated with pictures so you don’t have to wonder how they’re doing. We have a fenced backyard, and I’ll take dogs for daily walks on the beautiful 2-mile path around Stellwagen Farm, which is only a few minutes from our home. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone. To me, they’re not just a booking or another dog staying at my house. They’re someone’s family — just like my Pomeranian is part of mine. I’m a stay-at-home mom and am available pretty much all the time, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I provide a safe, loving home with a fenced backyard, and a finished basement. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m available most of the time and can give your dog lots of attention throughout the day. I also have a senior Pomeranian, so I understand the importance of patience and making sure every dog feels comfortable.

About: ‼️Please read entirety of bio prior to sending a booking request Please note: My Rover profile information may not always be the most up to date, as I also own and operate my own pet care business - but I still get notifications here! Please message me so we can discuss your specific needs and availability! Hi, I’m Bee! I’m a medically retired police officer turned professional pet care provider. Pet care is my full-time work, not a side hobby. I take a calm, structured, safety-first approach and focus on low-stress care that allows pets to feel secure, respected, and comfortable. I have years of hands-on experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including seniors, rescues, anxious dogs, puppies, large breeds, and special-needs pets. ⸻ What I Offer • In-home dog boarding in a low-volume, structured environment • Structured dog daycare with supervised play and rest breaks • Drop-in visits for feeding, potty breaks, enrichment, and medications • Dog walks tailored to your dog’s comfort, energy level (must not pull heavily on leash) • Care for seniors, rescues, anxious, and special-needs dogs • Slow, intentional introductions and individualized care plans • Solo or one-on-one care options when appropriate for daycare and boarding • Real-time updates with plenty of photos and detailed written notes ‼️I do not provide boarding or daycare for cats, and I do not offer overnight stays in clients’ homes. ‼️Meet and Greets are mandatory to schedule any service. ‼️My two dogs, Trooper and Moose, will NOT be present for the meet and greet for boarding and daycare ‼️Dates are not reserved unless a deposit is prepaid in advance. ‼️Dogs must be crate trained to stay at Bee’s Bed and Barkfast daycare and boarding. This is a non negotiable for safety, feeding, rest and safe transitions. ‼️Boarding can be booked anytime, as long as the dates are within the next 3 months. I do not book out more than 3 months in advance. I am available generally anytime between sunrise and sunset. Due to a vision disability, I may occasionally need to adjust timing on very rainy days, and I do not drive after dark. If weather requires a schedule shift, I’ll always communicate in advance and ensure your pet still receives attentive, high-quality care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are my top priorities. I provide intentional, structured care designed to reduce stress, prevent issues before they happen, and create a calm, predictable experience for both pets and owners. This applies whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or in mine. How I care for pets & homes: • Safety-first, prevention-focused handling at all times • Calm routines that prioritize rest, enrichment, and emotional regulation • Respectful care of your home… clean, secure, and exactly how you left it • Doors, gates, leashes, and feeding instructions double-checked every visit • Clear, proactive communication so you’re never left wondering how things are going Boarding & Daycare Environment: • Low-volume, home-based care, not a brick and mortar storefront or warehouse-style daycare • Structured daycare with supervised interactions and enforced rest breaks • Slow, intentional introductions tailored to each dog’s comfort level • Solo or one-on-one care available for dogs who need space or prefer independence at an increased rate • Crate training mandatory to ensure smooth transitions and safety How I differ from other sitters: • I do not force interactions or “let dogs work it out” • I do not overbook or rotate large groups of unfamiliar dogs • I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach Instead, I focus on individualized care, clear boundaries, and calm structure, the kind of environment where dogs can truly settle, decompress, and feel secure.

“My wife and I recently rescued a puppy after making travel plans months earlier. Because our puppy Sophie was still too young for full vaccinations, we were not able to board her with a doggy daycare, and we didn’t have any friends or family available to care for her during our trip. We used Rover to find Teresa, and were grateful that we did. We met with her about 2 weeks before our trip, so she and our puppy could meet. The first meeting went well, and we were confident with our choice to have her take care our puppy during that visit. While Teresa had Sophie, she sent us regular updates, photos, and video of her playing and being happy. She helped reinforce the commands that were working on and assisted with continued leash and potty training. Sophie had a great time with Teresa, her dog Ollie, and grand-dog Dunkin. We are very happy with our experience and extremely grateful to Teresa. We will absolutely recommend her to anyone that needs this kind of boarding service, and will definitely reach out to Teresa again in the future! Thanks for everything!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Saint George home-away-from-home, packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Saint George.

<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Saint George sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
