“Erica was so lovely, patient, and communicative! We potentially needed a last minute sitter for the weekend, and she was so kind while we waited to confirm that we did in fact need help. Our meet and greet went wonderfully and all of our pets instantly loved her. We came home to a clean house and happy pets. We'll definitely book with her again!”

“Karen was amazing. We cannot say enough good things about her, and we feel so lucky to have found her. She watched our two very different dogs while we were away for my father's memorial — our French Bulldog with separation anxiety and our parents' Saint Bernard, who is very sensitive. Karen handled both of them with so much patience, love, and care, and sent us regular updates that gave us complete peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time. Knowing our dogs were in such good hands allowed us to be fully present when we needed to be most. We came home to two happy, relaxed, well-loved pups — and that says it all. Karen is professional, compassionate, and genuinely wonderful with animals and a great person. We will absolutely be using her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who will treat your pets like family. 🐾”

“Erin was absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was able to get both of my kitties to come out of their shells a little more, took great care of them, our plants and our home. I would highly recommend Erin to anyone, and would be honored to have her back for future trips!”

About: Hi there! I'm new to Rover, but have been housesitting regularly since December 2024. I've had the opportunity to pet sit in Australia and throughout New Zealand with dogs and cats of various breeds and ages. I have also looked after fish and chickens. My experience ranges from caring for young puppies and kittens to older animals with health issues, including pets with arthritis, heart issues, IBD, and asmtha. I'm very diligent about managing any medication or supplements required. In the past, I've had two dogs as my own pets. One was a miniature schnauzer and the other was a mixed breed rescue. Throughout the years, I've pet sat for friends and family as well. I always love getting to know new animals and enjoy taking care of a home and any plants you may have. :) I work remotely and have a fairly flexible schedule, so I will have plenty of time to stay in with your pets and make sure they are cared for and happy. *Currently, I am fully booked for housesitting until the beginning of January. If you are interested in booking for your 2027 travel, feel free to send me a message to schedule a meet and greet. I do also offer dog walking or drop-in visits for other clients from about noon to 2 pm, so this would be a time that I may be away from the house. To ensure a good fit, I offer a 30 minute Meet & Greet prior to booking. All bookings include frequent updates and photos for your peace of mind. I am happy to have your fur babies as my close companions or give them more space if they prefer. My goal is make sure they are safe and comfortable while their family is away.
About: I've looked after cats and dogs since I was 18. I currently own one cat and my Service Dog. I've observed and helped out with different dog trainers in the past. If there is something I am unsure about, I know how to direct you to. I am on disability. I am home most days. If I am out at a dog show or trial, I will either bring everyone with me or not trial. I do have crates, if needed. We could also visit my sister in law and play with her Springer puppy. She does have a nice, big fenced yard. If dogs have a good recall, we can play in the bigger yard but it isn't fenced. I live in an rv, but I have it fenced off. There is a small potty area for the dogs. My dog is friendly with anyone and everyone. He loves other dogs and is always happy to play.
About: I grew up with pets and have been taking care of my own for almost 15 years now. I have experience administering medication, such as pills, eye or ear drops, fluids, and insulin shots. I volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center so I’m used to feeding and cleaning after all kinds of animals. I am clean, organized, patient, and have a calm demeanor that puts pets at ease. I will take care of your babies like they’re my own, and follow the instructions closely :) I work 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday and I’m available at any other time. I can go there before and after work, and I’m fully free on weekends. I can also go during my lunch time if the location is in or near Oregon City. I’m able to crate your dogs if needed. I can take them on walks, or to parks or short hikes if preferred. I can house sit and take care of your plants and do some light cleaning if needed as well.
“Michaela was above and beyond our expectations! She watched our elderly Great Dane for a week and treated him like a king. We received lots of photos, videos, and daily reports on the activities they did together. It was wonderful knowing our baby was having a great time while we were away. A huge stress reliever. Totally recommend Michaela!!!”

“Forest did an amazing job watching my dog, Bo, while I was out of town. They kept me up to date on all the happenings around the house and sent daily feedback about Bo. Including pictures and videos! Forest took wonderful care of Bo and asked all the right questions before I headed out of town. I knew they were going to be a perfect sitter and they didn’t disappoint! From quality care, waiting until the heat of the day was past to walk, sending updates and leaving a spotless house… forest was spectacular! If you have the chance to book with forest, I would highly recommend! They took the time to ask about Bo’s needs and my expectations. I knew I was getting quality care with forest. I was welcomed back by one happy healthy pup thanks to forest :)”

“Aislynn took good care of my older dog, taking notes during our meet and greet to make sure that she had all the information she needed. He got plenty of time and attention, and I returned to a house and dog that were both in great shape.”

About: We are a husband-wife team that both work from home and love dogs and cats. We walk our dog(s) daily for a 3 to 4 mile walk, and shorter routes can be done for dogs that can't go long distance. Happy to house sit your fur baby/babies or just provide breaks for your pup or feed the cat. Our motto is... A tired dog is a good dog! We have flexible schedules. We are comfortable with giving meds if needed. Good with large breeds and light training during walks. Happy to reinforce whatever training / skills you are working on. We sometimes foster dogs, so schedule can be unpredictable at times. We both work from home currently, so have the ability to do drop-in visits morning, afternoon or evening. Soon-to-be retired for one of us, so that will increase availability quite a bit. We are not currently offering boarding in our home due to having a dog-selective large breed at this time. Happy to pet-sit in your home, usually just one of us.

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember and have spent half my life caring for them! I've been lucky to have all my living situations infused with pets - usually dogs. I always act as part-time carer. Walks, hanging out, feeding? Easy. Sneaking medicine in treats? I've had to trick a couple of dogs in my time. The messy bits - poop, vomit...I am unphased. I currently live with the sweetest diabetic doggy - I am a deft hand at giving shots. I've watched a number of dogs while owners are out of town - whatever their needs, sun-up to sun-down, I've been there and am excited to be there again. I've also spent my share of time with cats and enjoy their (usual) independence. I'm happy to help cats out too! I'm currently trying to carve out a remote life; I'm either at home or a coffee shop. My schedule is very open, very flexible and I'm very available to care for some wonderful pets! A lovely apartment with plenty of nice walks and parks nearby. I stay with a friend and her two little ones are a little older, but very chill.
About: Hello! My name is MaKenzie, I am 24 years old and I grew up around dogs my entire life so this is not something that is new to me! I have been watching animals since I was 16, and have always loved it. I have watched all different kinds of animals from pigs and chicken all the way to bunnies and reptiles. I live in a house with a great yard (unfenced) with my dog Mochi. My dog is a female Doberman who LOVES to play. Mochi is extremely energetic so we do play and walk a lot. If your dog is similar, and as energetic as Mochi, then this would be a great spot for them! I’m currently running dog/cat sitting as a full time business, so I have all the time in the world. I also work part time for another company with hours around 11am-1pm. Whenever dogs visit they get free roam of the house along with my pup! Dogs do remain on leashes when going outside as I don’t have a fence. Dogs are not allowed unattended outside at all.
About: Besides my experience with my own pets I began volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society at 17. After that I went on to dog sit for various different families part time for around 3 years. I have a big window of availability currently. I’m going back to school in the fall, but until then I am just working part time. I work for my grandpa, so my schedule is super flexible! When I dog sit in the clients home I will follow your instructional list for feeding/walks/ activities/ grooming ect. I have car so I can take your pup to nearby parks/ dog parks if you would like, or just for a classic stroll around your neighborhood if you prefer. For clients that would prefer I take car if you dog in my home I have a fenced in back yard and live near several park so we can go on several adventures. Or just chill at home if you have a senior/ more low energy dog. My only deal breaker is that your dog isn’t reactive towards cats.
“Marie was amazing!!! I am such a helicopter fur mama but I was quickly assured they were in great hands. Thorough communication, lovely updates, and my pups + kitty were as happy as can be when I came home. Will definitely be reaching out again in the future! Thank you so much Marie! 🙌 Moose, Evie, & Mazzy miss you already! ☺️🐾”

“Jennifer was absolutely wonderful! She took incredible care of my dogs and cat sending regular updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind while I was away. She is professional, reliable, and genuinely loves animals. Added bonus is my house was spotless.i can’t recommend her enough and will definitely be booking her again”

About: My care strategy is built entirely around continuity. I don't believe in disrupting a dog's established habits. If your pup is used to an early morning walk, strict crating boundaries, or a highly specific feeding and medication schedule, I replicate that routine exactly. I provide structured, attentive care. Ensuring high-energy dogs get the physical outlet they need, while older or more anxious dogs get a calm, reassuring presence. When your dog is with me, their comfort, safety, and daily rhythm are my top priorities." Currently, I work a night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. I am fully available for early morning walks and drop-in visits between 6 AM and noon, as well as quick evening check-ins from 8 PM to 10 PM. On Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday...my schedule is completely open for open-ended daytime care, extended drop-ins, and flexible walking routines." When providing care, I focus on strict adherence to your established household environment protocols, including exact feeding rules, crating preferences, and secure entries to prevent any escape attempts. I maintain transparent communication by sending detailed photo updates and text check-ins after every visit. Whether your dog needs cautious, slow pacing on a walk or structured, calm boundaries inside the home, I ensure a completely secure and reliable environment where they feel safe.
“This is the first time that I have had someone stay with my dog while I was out of town, and I couldn't be happier. Shauna was great!!!! My dog can sometimes be nervous when meeting new people, but she went right up to Shauna at our meet and greet. At this meeting, Shauna asked all about Cassie, what her routine was and what she liked. I felt very comfortable with her. While I was gone, Shauna took Cassie for walks, and sent pictures. Cassie stayed by her side in the evenings, when normally she prefers to be outside. Cassie obviously felt very comfortable with her. Cassie was low on one of her treats, and Shauna went and bought a whole new bag. Very thoughtful. I highly recommend Shauna and I will use her again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 3,792 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Saint Cloud. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Saint Cloud walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Saint Cloud maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Saint Cloud choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saint Cloud. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
