I simply ask for about two weeks' notice whenever possible so I can coordinate my calendar and ensure my own pets are well cared for while I'm away. My husband stays home with our pets during house-sitting stays, allowing me to focus completely on caring for yours. When I have dog sat, I usually go for multiple walks. I can walk all day. The dogs love it and it makes them tired. Animals need mental stimulation outside of their house or yard just like people.
