About: I have been around animals nearly my entire life, and been responsible for the care of many of them since I was a kid. I’ve participated in 4H projects for dogs and horses for several years and over time, I gained more knowledge and experience about animals, which played a big role in choosing the career I want to invest in as a Vet Technician. I have over a year of experience both in a Vet clinic as a Vet Assistant and at a boarding facility, where I am responsible for the care of pets staying in hospital as well as those boarding long-term. This care includes general care (feeding, cleaning up after them, letting them outside, etc.), as well as exercising/play time, enrichment, brushing/bathing, and walks. And most importantly, in my opinion at least, I love animals ❤️ They have played a huge role in my life and I don’t know where I would be without my own pups. I know many others feel the same about their pets, which is why I will provide the same care for them as I would mine, and ensure they feel comfortable and happy in my care. I work part-time with a varying schedule, so I have a lot of variability when it comes to finding time for your fur baby. I am also available for overnight stays or short term trips so you can be away from home easily, knowing your pet will be loved and cared for while you’re gone. When caring for your pet at your home, I will provide the same love and attention as I would to my own. I am always willing to play a game of fetch, tug of war, or go on walks to satisfy your pets exercise needs, as well as provide the love and care they deserve while relaxing inside.

On the days that I take dogs to training with me I have an indoor training facility with a large fenced outdoor area as well. “We call Brooke “The Dog Whisperer”. Our crazy high energy Lab, Rosie, came home tuckered out after she was with Brooke, and much to our surprise, learned great manners from their time together - bonus! Brooke is professional and possesses knowledge in all aspects of care. She has years of experience working with and caring for all types and temperaments of dogs. Her bond and love for dogs is apparent within the first few minutes they are together. We trust Brooke in our home and with any of our dogs. We highly recommend Brooke!”

20. Jenifer W.
About: 10 + years paid professional experince. I began my pet care experience over 20 years ago as a veterinary assistant, from there I moved into pet obedience training with Petsmart. There I worked with as many as 80 pets per week in group classes, and one on one classes for specail needs pets. I have worked with a variety of breeds, from toys, to standards, to herding, working and bully breeds. From Petsmart I went on to create my own business Spokane Pet Sitting which I operated for years. Within that time I grew my business from a handful of pet parents to over 300, I also employed two additional sitters, and branched out from just domestic cats and dogs, into fish, reptiles, equine, and even llamas! I bring many years of paid experience with a various species, special needs, seniors, and the administration of medications. I was also a volunteer at the SEattle Aquarium for a season as well as the zoo. I am also available to transport house pets to and from vet appointments, therapy, and groomers using pet saftey belts. My experience brings professionalism to an otherwise "casual" job. I am reliable, and am never a "no show" or too busy. I take your pets' health and welfare very seriously. At Your Service, Jenifer I am currently uncommitted to any situation, and have full discrepancy of how to fill my time and create relationships. I am looking to find a handful of regular clients to service several times a year, so that I can become familar with their pets, their home, and their needs, and establish good camaraderie for the well being of everyone +pets. I usually need a weeks notice to arrange appointments to accomodate stays, but maybe able to work in with shorter notices. I prefer to take one client at a time and focus on them before going to the next assignment, with the exception of once a day drop-in's for cats. I can also care for llamas! : ) Our visits usually go like this: FIrst, we need to establish what type of care each per needs. Is onyone on meds? Is there a senior pet? or perhaps a puppy? What are there normal routines? What your directives are in case of an emergency. Your pets HEALTH is always the most important aspect of my job is upon entry and exit to make sure the doors/gates are completely closed/latched, nothing is left out that may present a choking or dangerous to injest, doors to laundry or garages are closed. Next, to give your pet the love, pets, and attention they are craving (that's the BEST part of my job)! To prepare meals, change water, clean up messes while they eat, bring in the mail or take out the trash as may be needed. Then after safety, love and food, we'll do whatever your pet likes to do most! Sometimes that means snuggles and pets, or run and fetch, sometimes it is just quiet time together. Then I will quietly and safely take my leave, making sure that your home is secure and alarms are set.
