“Julia was on time and was great with my dogs even working hard to get them out to potty in the pouring rain. She is very communicative and I will definitely be rebooking with her. Thanks Julia”

About: I have been loving and taking care of pets for years. I worked at animal shelter for 2 years and that gave me lots of experience with all kinds of animals young ones, old ones, moody ones, happy ones, and more! I have lots of experience with challenging dogs and ones with health issues too. I am currently home for the summer and looking to fill my time loving on some animals 🐾 I do not have any restrictions on time or days. I have a fenced yard and dogs to keep your fur friend company. I have the space to crate your pup if needed, and wood floor for easy clean ups.
About: From young age I've been responsible for many types of animals. I have experience with dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, cows and calfs, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, iguana, fish, frogs, turtles, salamanders, etc. I currently have one medium dog who lost his litter mate in December 2023. I'm a stay at home dog Mom. We both have lots of energy for walks and hikes. I live on a 1 mile dirt, seasonal, dead end road with lake frontage and massive yard for playing hide and seek in the trees and hunting squirrels. My dog is dog friendly, loves playmates. (No jealousy). In your home care would be provided to your pets as we would discuss with a meet & greet.
About: I have have had dogs all my life and cared for friends and family dogs while folks need to travel or run errands. All sizes and breeds welcome I work from home 8 am - 5-pm and with my children grown I have time to help others when they need dog sitting. I have two female Yorkies and a female Bernese Mountain Dog. All very friendly. I usually walk dogs twice per day and let them out side tied on a 20’ lead in my back yard as often as they want to go outside.
“You could not ask for a better person to take care of your pets while you are away! We hope that Eliza is available when we are ready to travel. It takes a huge burden off of us to know that they are in good hands!”

“Alexandra took care of our cat, Charlie, over Thanksgiving and was everything we could have hoped for in a sitter. She took great care of both Charlie and our home while we were away. Instead of coming by just to feed Charlie, she spent time at our home each visit to spend time with him and give him the attention that he was craving while we were away. Finally, she was very communicative throughout our time away sending us pictures and messages about how he was doing. We will definitely be using Alexandra in the future!”

About: I have worked in the animal care industry since I was 14 years old. I grew up with my mother whom bred and showed various different breeds of dogs as well as we kept a small mixed livestock farm. I have worked as an equine manager, I have worked at TSC, and currently am employed at a veterinary clinic where I was originally working with boarders. My skills include basic training, basic grooming, administering preventatives and medication (including insulin), providing effective and safe restraint, and I have taken multiple educational courses on animal welfare, behavior, and stress-free approach to handling. I work full time, but only mid day so I am more than capable of doing morning and afternoon visits as well as mid day on the weekends. I take care of animals the same way I would want to be cared for: with patience, kindness and love but above all safely. Working at a veterinary clinic I have learned a great amount about safe animal care (including with reactive animals).
“Very professional, and willing to work with schedule changes. Most importantly she took very good care of my newfoundland and cat while I was out of town over the weekend. Anyone on fort drum needing a pet sitter should consider booking her.”

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, hamsters, Guinea pigs, chickens ever since I was able to walk and talk! Ive always enjoyed spending time with them and taking care of them! Right now I'm in college doing online classes and I'm free pretty much all the time. being able to escape from home work for a little bit is always nice too. I'm very attentive with my pets making sure they always have what they need and then some. My dog and I go on at least two walks a day. I think its very important that our pets get treated with the best care possible.
“Dana did an excellent job caring for our cat while we were traveling. It was great to receive updates and pictures each day so we know that he was doing okay. Dana was easy to communicate with and kept us updated on anything going on and what our cat was up to on each of her visits. We will definitely be booking with Dana again!”

I have worked at a dog daycare for 3 years and now am currently working as a Tech at a Veterinary Clinic now going on for 5 years! I would love to pet sit your furry friend and hopefully become a new best friend for them too! If you are military, I have base access as well! I am available weekdays and weekends.I would also be available to watch your pet at your home if needed ! About: I’ve grown up with animals in my life since I was born and my mom worked at a Vet Clinic for 13 years so I’ve seen my fair share of all sorts of breeds! From little Pugs to giant Cane Corsos! I’m up for anything and happy to help in anyway I can! I am usually free throughout the week especially with a heads up I should have no problems being able to help you out with whatever needs to be done! And I’ll be happy doing it! I have a dog named Motley who is 4 years old! She’s a mutt but we love her so much and she gets along well with other animals. Sometimes she’s a bit excited with new people/ animals but she is crate trained and potty trained so shouldn’t be a problem!
“Kaitlyn was wonderful. She's very responsive, personable, and accommodating. I felt comfortable having her in my home. Pepper did as well and loved her. You can tell she has a passion for dogs. Highly recommend Kaitlyn.”

About: I love all animals big and small! I have a variety of experience. I grew up taking care of a Rottweiler and currently have a pit and two cats. I have worked in the past and consistently cared for a deaf and diabetic dog to include administering insulin. I have volunteered at shelters, fostered numerous dogs to include a deaf dog with seizures, interned at a wildlife rehab center for a year, and worked at the Philadelphia Zoo taking care of the goats yard. I worked for 3 years at VIP pet care holding the animals, administering shots , microchips, blood draws and supervising the clinics. I love hiking and anything outdoors so walking your pup would be great for both your pup and myself! 🙂 I’m currently working full time and another part time job so am currently only offering walking services to work around my busy schedule. My schedule varies each week. I have a fenced in yard with one dog and two cats. At this time I am only offering walking services and may consider in home care in the future.
About: I have a 13 year old shitzu yorkie who has been with me since I was 9 and I trained him myself. I have a roomy place with lots of places for individual areas. I currently am taking a break from work and have plenty of time to care for your furry friend as needed! Full time availability and plants of room in my schedule for any hour care. I have a dog who can keep your furry friend company but have enough room to separate them if your dog or cat likes their own space!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
