About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs of various ages and sizes for three years now! I would love to care for your pet as my own whether they’re boarding over night in my home or I’m just stopping in to visit them! I work full time with a Monday to Friday job! I have a two hour lunch to check in your furry family member as well as a half day on Thursdays! Weekends I have full availability! I have a friendly dog that is great with other dogs and cats since I also have a cat as well! I have a fenced in backyard as well for your best friend to play in!

About: I have grown up with labs since I was a baby. I’ve enjoyed all the years from puppies to senior dogs. I love playing fetch and taking the dogs for a walk. I am currently home from college for the summer and have flexible hours to coordinate multiple dog sitting opportunities at this time. I am excited to help others and get a chance to meet new dogs. I am happy to follow whatever guidelines work best for you and your fur baby. I can play with them, take for walks, help with training, etc
About: I’ve had the privilege of being born into a dog family. Dogs are more than a pet, or even a man’s best friend- they’re literally family. I might argue that they receive better treatment than family, but they’re too cute not to! While every single person in my family has a dog, I unfortunately do not. My family lives in St. Louis, MO and I live in Ruston, LA for school. But there’s no denying I miss my dogs. I think this opportunity would allow me to fulfill that void and take a load off your list. A win/win scenario! (I’m also on a 10k/day step journey so this would make it less boring!) I have experience with all sized dogs and different breeds ranging from Rottweilers, Poodles, English Bulldogs, Maltipoos, Shitzus, Maltese, Mix Breeds and more. I can do short walks around the neighbors or longer walks on a trail which I have a seasonal pass to Lincoln Parish Park. I have a full SUV with covered seats to accommodate your baby! I currently work from home and also am doing school online so my schedule is extremely flexible and what I make it to be. I can work from anywhere if need be so it’s never an issue for me. In my clients home, I would make sure I play it by their book and carefully review their instructions. I will also work on gaining the dogs trust by giving it extra love, cuddles, and attention so they can familiarize themselves with me.
“George was a lifesaver! He was available so last minute. I highly recommend booking with him! He checked in on my English bull dog on time, played with him, fed him, and sent pictures to let me know that he was good! He even put a delivery package in my house so that it wouldn’t be sitting outside while I was away. Will DEFINITELY book with George again!”

About: Out of my family when growing up, even when little, I have been the primary one to care for our dogs. I would bathe them, let them out, train them, walk them, etc. I'd even go out of my way to help those of friends as well. I have a huge care for pets and making sure they're as loved as you make them feel. I'm currently in college at LA Tech, but only have three classes this quarter! My latest classes are from 2-5, everyday, but anytime after 5 PM works! I also only have one class on Tuesdays and Thursday, so any check ins early-on on those days works as well. Besides that, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have the 2-5 class, but also a class at 9:30 AM, so only afternoons work those days. All weekends should work for me! While I can not take care of your pet in my own home, I find being able to bring them comfort and care in their own environment where they are used to being to help them feel truly cared for. I know how lonesome our pets can be when we are gone, whether they have another person caring for them or not, so I like to go above and beyond to give them their normal care and love so things won't feel too differently for them for the time being.

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for pets for over 10 years for family and friends, and I truly love animals. I’m gentle, patient, and treat every pet like they’re part of my family. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a calm, nurturing home environment and plenty of time to give your pets attention, play, and cuddles. I know how hard it can be to leave your fur babies, so I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’d be honored to care for your pets! I’m available any day of the week. 🐾 I’m also available for overnight pet sitting,m & drop ins so you can travel or relax knowing your pets are safe, loved, and cared for. I’m reliable, gentle, and happy to follow your pet’s routine and send updates. I offer a wonderful pet day care program aswell as walks. 🐶🐱⭐️🐾 I understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur babies. In my home, pets are cared for in a calm, loving environment with plenty of attention and a secure fenced-in yard for safe play and potty breaks. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your space and follow your instructions closely. I’m gentle, patient, and always focused on keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m happy to send updates and pictures so you never have to worry.
About: I have had animals in my home since I was a little kid. I have been known to be a frequent dog watcher for many years. I go into others homes and have house/dog sat for many years and enjoy every bit! I have done old, new and all inbetween type dogs! Big or small I enjoy serving families and helping with their dog care! My job is flexible so I can come in and out as much as you need. I also can stay the night. I would prefer this actually to make sure dog has all it needs and house is kept in order I am very passionate about doing what is asked of me in pet care. I want the dog to be able to be around me and still maintain all training and methods that the owner has instilled. I work hard to do everything by the instructions of the specific owner
About: I've lived with pets all my life and have had the responsibility of taking care of them since I was 8. At first my responsibilities were to just find them and let them outside after they ate but as I started to grow up, I was expected to walk and bathe them. I have also personally trained three of my dogs for basic commands and loose leash walking. As someone who grew up with lots of pets, I am already in the routine of taking hour walks every day and that is something that stuck with me even when I moved to college. My classes are in the morning to middle of the day so I'm available for morning and night feeding with the availability of house sitting if needed. I've grown up with large dogs (ex. german shepard, doberman, rottweiler) so I'm not afraid of a big bark and know how to redirect a reactive dog.

About: I have experience working with many different dogs through working at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I also have experience as a vet technician at a emergency pet clinic I am usually working part time so I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! My nights can sometimes get a bit busy but I am always willing to make something work. I care for pets in my client's home by adhering to the client's rules and keeping a close eye on their fur-baby. After all, I am there to give them all of my attention!
About: I’ve been taking care and walking dogs that (aren’t my own) for about a year or two back in my hometown Georgia so I’m looking forward to the new scenery and dogs I’m currently working as a grill cook and i’m free most days early in the morning and/or after 9. I’m currently looking for another job to have a more available schedule I have a semi fenced in yard with a female dog and a female cat. If housing a large dog will need to bring own crate
About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was around 12. From feeding neighbors chickens while they were away, to staying in families houses to look after their puppies while they’re away, I’ve experienced a wide range of pet care. As the owner of an elderly cat, I am very gentle and calm, perfect for elderly pets or any sweeties that require a low stress environment. However, as the owner of a golden retriever, I know how to keep the excited ones entertained! I am a full time college student, and have a few classes everyday— no more than 3 a day and they are no longer than 2 hours at a time. I’m free in the mornings and evenings for whatever is needed! My yard is fenced, though there is an in ground pool, so I would not leave any pets unattended outside. I could crate dogs if needed. I have a friendly golden retriever to keep your babies company. I also have two cats who are sweet and mind their business. As far as in a clients home, I am very respectful of all house rules and follow any instructions given closely.

10/10 would recommend! Colby took amazing care of our dog while we were away! From the start, he was reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dog came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for—it was obvious he got plenty of attention and affection. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be booking with Colby again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pets!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
