“Ashley was a fantastic sitter! Our dogs are 4 y/o and 6 mos. old and she handled them without issue. We feel lucky to have found her and we’re sure Ralphie and Seymour would love to see her again!”

“Laura provided the perfect vacation for our Molly, who is older and just needs love and companionship. She was very accommodating to our schedule and easy to work with. We would highly recommend Laura and I am sure we will be using here in the future. Dave P.”

“Mary and her family were great with River. Obviously I can't know what happens when I'm not there but she seemed down with all of the care instructions I gave and I felt comfortable with my baby with them. They were thoughtful in what they had in the house, like cameras to watch when they're away and treads for the stairs, I'll be using her again!”

“Annette was lovely and caring to both Gustavo and me. Delays in flights meant I was 7 hours late in getting to Gus. Annette graciously dealt with this inconvenience. She was always quick to respond to communications. Most importantly, Gus clearly felt at home and welcomed from the minute she greeted him. When I picked him up, he was clearly comfortable with Annette. Thank you.”

“Our schedule was erratic and included my mistake in scheduling. Sima and her family were gracious hosts and worked with our schedule. I received updates on how our doggo was doing everyday. It has been a pleasure working with them, I would definitely consider them next time we are in town.”

“Jessica has a wonderful personality. The moment i met her, i knew she would be the right fit for Lucee ( my retriever). Her son is gentle and adorable. Jessica was good about sending me pictures daily and giving me updates on Lucee's day. She has 4 dogs of her own that are also friendly and calm. She will be taking are of Lucee every time i am out of town.”
“Another great stay for our dog with Colette and her family. Faith might even be happier at their house than at ours! Very appreciative of the communication, attention, and care provided by Colette and the family.”
“Michelle and Sami were great when they watched my girl, Kira. They treated her like family and sent pictures/updates during her stay. Would highly recommend!”

“Breanna went above and beyond when watching our pup! She easily made him feel at home and provided us with many updates throughout his stay. So grateful for her dog whispering!”

About: I am an animal lover and I have always had pets. The past few years I have been saving lives and fostering with One By One Reacue! I am currently on a foster break since I have 4 dogs of my own but help run the rescue in other ways. I am lucky enough to work from home and be with my pets all day. They stay in the general area I am when I work. Since I have 4 dogs of my own, I would like to provide boarding at my house. I am in a town house and I have movable metal fencing for my dogs. I never leave them outside alone. When I do have to run to the store or have plans for the day (usually no more than 8 hours) I have a furbo that I check in on them throughout the day. I also gate off my stairs so no one can use them (or fall down, I had a blind dog and watch one) when I am not there.
“Damara was wonderful with Hailey! Lots of updates and kept our dog feeling safe and happy while we were away, not to mention gave her all the attention that she demands (which is a lot!). We would book again in a heartbeat”

About: I have had dogs for my whole life and so I know that it takes to care for them. I work at a dog boarding facility at the moment and so I also have experience in a professional setting. I am currently working part time, giving me plenty of time to spend with your pups! When I’m not at work I’m at the gym or at home! I have a large yard with plenty of room for your pups to play. I have a bernedoodle who is very sweet and loves to play with other dogs. I take Knawi to the dog park a lot and also on many walks, which I’m happy to bring your puppy as well.
“Lindsay was so kind and caring - she went above and beyond to make our doggy Cricket feel safe and secure on the first night that she stayed with her. Lindsay kept us updated with texts, pictures, and a video. Cricket had so much fun at her house! And, Lindsay was able to accommodate our last minute boarding request. This was a wonderful experience for all of us!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years, from walking and feeding to overnight stays. I often pet-sit for friends when they travel, and I've also rescued and nursed several stray dogs back to health. Every dog I care for is treated with the same love and attention as my own. I work from home full-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I'm able to walk, feed, and spend time with dogs throughout the day, not just during set hours. Weekends and evenings are open for boarding as well. I provide a calm, clean, and secure indoor environment for boarding dogs. Each dog gets a comfortable resting area, and I take them out for regular walks and bathroom breaks. Safety is always my top priority. I never leave dogs unsupervised in unfamiliar or hazardous situations.
“Kita was extremely amazing! She handled our busy hyperactive puppy with love and care. I really appreciated her keeping me updated with pictures and messages! She even took my puppy to the dog park which was an awesome unexpected bonus! I would definitely recommend her services!! 🐶💜”

“Audrey is extremely caring & knowledgeable with cats. I’m grateful for her flexibility & willingness to accept a last minute booking. I would love to work with her again, as she put my cat at ease & cared for her well. Thank you, Audrey!”

“Amazing amazing amazing! We trust Bryn and Carson like no other for watching our Benny. He always comes home happy, clean and as if he was right at home the whole stay. Boots and Benny are besties and the photo updates make my whole day. Thank you again!”

“My dog Thusnelda had a great stay with Lucas and his family. Their lovely home has plenty of space for running around and play. And their dog is also very sweet. Thanks, Lucas!”

“Joe took great care of Sadie! She can be a bit nervous with new people sometimes but settled right in with Joe and the other pups. Will be bringing Sadie back for my next overnight trip!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Russellton home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Russellton.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Russellton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
