About: Lifelong lover of all animals. I have a masters degree in wildlife biology and work as a Park Ranger. This is the first time in my life I haven’t had a dog and/or cat of my own and missing all the joy they bring. It would be an honor if you trusted me with yours. Open to moving at their pace and your preference, whether that’s a senior dog that just wants a lap in the park or a puppy who’d like to go for a hike. Would consider boarding after meeting pets and ensuring everyone (human and animal) is comfortable. I work full time, but have every Thursday-Saturday. I’m available most days after 5pm. Flexible to meet the needs of you and your pet! Safe, healthy, happy pets and people is my priority. I understand how pets are members of a family and currently have two very spoiled rabbits in my home.
“I’ve booked Jill before to watch just my cat and this time she watched both my cat and my dog. They both just loved her! She was fantastic with communication and she was great with adapting to both of their schedules. Will definitely book Jill again!”

About: I have dog sat for family friends several times and stayed over at their houses while doing so. I have a dog of my own and I trained her when she was a puppy. I have worked with different sizes of dogs and different levels of obedience. I am currently a college student so my hours will differ depending on the day, but I know that I have have time to fit pet care into my schedule. I am after 12pm on Tuesdays and after 2pm on Thursdays. The remaining days of the week I am pretty much free almost any time during the day. I find that even though my schedule is a little weird that may be beneficial as I can provide pet care at a variety of times. I care for pets in the way that they need to be cared for. I check on them often, make sure they are not anxious, as well as ensure they are getting plenty of exercise. If I am in a clients home I ensure the space is kept clean and the pet is happy and healthy.

“Amanda is excellent. Not only is her communication top notch but so is the care and attention to detail she had for my cats/my asks (her 1st sitting was for 18 drop ins over 10 days). My pets loved her too, she is clearly an animal lover, they came right to her on the 1st visit. I highly recommend her.”

I am a mother of two adult children and work a hybrid schedule. I have lots of free time and have been dog walking and sitting for over 10 years with my son. “First time user and was very skeptical to have a stranger come into my home and care for my doggies. I am so happy and very pleased that I found Jennifer. She is very kind and my puppy who is normally barking and fearful of strangers warned up and kissed and played with her. Will be using her again and always. Dogs look happy and safe. She even snapped and sent some of the very cutest close up photos of our fur babies during her check-ins.”

“Our dog is high anxiety, even when staying at his own house and Molly is doing a drop-in. She is very patient and understanding of our rescue. We appreciate her trying to get our baby to play, but he doesn’t even do much when we try. So she tries to just be present with our dog, take pictures, and give treats. She understands him.”

“Latasha looked after our kitty (Lazare) and house for a week in July. She was very professional and courteous. She took the time to write down instructions on our meet and greet. Lazare loved her! I appreciated her communication and photos and she also took good care of the house and plants. I wholeheartedly recommend Latasha.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rosewood Heights
Sabrina is awesome! I went out of town for a week and wanted someone to spend time with my two cats. Sabrina went above and beyond expectations! Not only did I feel like my boys had good company, but Sabrina was kind enough to share some homegrown veggies and pasta sauce and bring my recycling bin in from the curb. Sabrina is a great petsitter and person and I would recommend her services to anyone!

Zayden did a great job with Lucy and Ella. She sent me pictures every day and fed them and gave them water and gave them their treats every day. They were happy and well fed when I got home. Thank you to Zayden for doing such a great job I highly recommend Zayden.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
