Alicia did a great job of dropping in multiple times per day to check up and visit with our 9 week old puppy. She went above and beyond during her drop ins. Alicia showed up on time, stayed as long as we requested, sent us great photos, and even worked on obedience with our little pup. Will definitely request her for drop ins again.

Megan is fantastic. I have two cats with very different personalities (a hider and a lovable doofus, respectively) and she has made them feel comfortable enough to play and be friendly with someone other than me. I happily recommend Megan to anyone looking for a nice, happy stay with your pets!

Working in a dog friendly environment I am able to work around potty breaks. Taking care of dogs is basically my whole life, we have 4 of them in our household. I also live with a dog trainer so I have a little bit of knowledge on that as well. Proper pet care is my top priority. Rashell (pronounced Rachel) did a fabulous job! This was my first trip without my 5 yr. old English bulldog "Muriel", and there was considerable separation anxiety. Rashell handled it like a pro, and she and Muriel are now lifelong friends. I'll be using Rashell again during my next trip in April '24, and I encourage all of you to use Rashell as well - you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful, friendly drop-in visits, with photos of my cats daily. 3/5 made an appearance, which says something about Lauren’s demeanor. Usually they hide from new people! Would book again! : )

About: I have never known a life without at least 2 dogs around the house, and also a few cats. I’ve grown up with mastiffs, pitbulls, chihuahuas, chow chows, golden retrievers, stray rescued dogs, injured/sick dogs, puppies, elderly dogs, basically all you could name! I have also walked and cared for many dogs of friends and family and I love meeting new furry faces! Every dog has their own special routine and I am dedicated to make sure that is followed thoroughly. I genuinely care for animals as if they are humans and they should be loved as such :). As a college student home for the summer, I want to schedule as many walks as possible! My schedule is very open past 11am when I typically am done with my workouts :). I am willing to schedule other things around walks and home visits. I believe that it is important to nail down routines for each specific pet. Feeding, walking, and playing should be a part of every animals daily routine! When trusted in a clients home, I believe that it is essential to be respectful of the space and leave the area even better than I found it. I care for your space as much as I care for your loved pets!

About: I have been fortunate to share my life with many pets, and each one has had my whole heart. I believe our four-legged friends deserve the same respect, care, and patience that we would offer any member of the family. As a nontraditional student completing my bachelor’s degree at 28, I have learned the value of patience, responsibility, and mindfulness—qualities I bring with me when caring for animals. You can trust that when your pet is with me, they will be safe, nurtured, and genuinely cared for. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy, so this isn’t just a service for me—it’s a chance to share space with a furry friend and give them the love and attention they deserve. I am currently working as an on call shelter support specialist for our local homeless shelter in Roseburg Oregon. I am also an online student. I am frequently taking walks as a way to clear my mind and add light physical activity to my days. Walking pets or letting them out to go potty would easy fit into my already flexible routine. I do not have a yard but I am walking distance to many different parks and also am not opposed to driving my furry friends to the dog park. I am a firm believer in keeping all pets leashed unless in a space certified for unleashed pets and/ or the fenced yard of the pet owners. I always have fresh clean water for my pets, on hot days I’m likely to put ice in their water. All pet parents are different and I think what’s most important is to follow the care directions that are provided by the pets parents

About: I have grown up with dogs, raising all of them from puppies (starting at 10 weeks). I also worked for four summers at a dog daycare with dogs of all ages and breeds. At work, I learned how to perform basic grooming procedures, worked with many dietary plans and restrictions, and handled medications. I have also volunteered with shelter dogs and cats with various behaviors and needs. I currently work 4 day weeks, but I have ample free time on my days off I have included in my calendar. Let me know how I can best fit your pet’s needs. I have a dog of my own who is very timid and territorial, so I do not offer services in at my own place. However, I will treat your fur babies with the same love as my own.

About: I've cared for dogs and other pets for 15 years. I have experience in animal care and training for a variety of both domestic and exotic species. I'm an avid runner and I can keep up with the most active dogs! I know my work schedule about a month in advance so I know ahead of time when I will be available to care for your pet. I can drop in and visit your pet to give them some extra attention and care. I love being outdoors so I would love to take your dog on a walk or even a run if they have some extra energy!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I can remember. I currently have 2 cats and a pup. Friends and family have always relied on me to pet sit, including other animals such as goats, donkeys, and chickens. I work Monday-Thursday, but am always available before and after work (before 7am and after 5pm). I am also available to do drop in visits at my lunch break. I am available all day Friday-Sunday. I have a townhome with a wide field that I take my own puppy out to regularly. I crate train my dog, but do not require if for boarding other dogs. I also have two cats, so I ask for no dogs that are aggressive to kitties. If I am dropping in for visits, I treat your home like my own. I will make sure it is in the same state as it started and will give your pets lots of love!

Monica took such great care of my cats while i was away. Took all the stress out of leaving them alone for the first time. She spent time cuddling and playing with them each day, and went above and beyond cleaning their dishes, emptying their litter robot/filling, brushing them etc. Her love and compassion for animals is evident!

I had a great trip with my family while my three babies had been taken care by Alicia. She checked everything related to my cats and took a lot of pictures of them for me to check daily. I appreciate all she’ve done, and all my cats must feel safe when she visited and recognized her this time even it had been a year since her last visit. I will definitely ask her again for my cats!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
