About: I’ve had pets all my life. The past 20 or so years I’ve had several cats with special need, hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, diabetic. I can administer medication. I give my diabetic cat two shots a day. Also understand the importance of a special diet to maintain healthiness. Love dogs, can walk, play, check in on them and clean up after… a walk… Can feed and check in on any other types of pets but prefer no reptiles. Weekdays I’m available after 2:30 pm for longer visits. I work from home and could pop in for a quick check in if needed. My work schedule can be pretty flexible. On the weekend I’m available any time. At this time I would not offer pet sitting at my home. Any rules you have in your home I would follow to a “T” Example: indoor pets stay indoor, no pet off leash, if pet parent wants an anti bite harness. I would do what the pet parent wants.

Alicia took time out of her day to meet with us a few days before our walks and I could tell right away that she is a loving pro with dogs. I am very patient and loving when it comes to animals. I’m currently working part time so I have some time to spare. Due to this, my work schedule isn’t always the same each month. But I would love to make some time to help take care of some cute doggies and cats! I have taken care of different kinds of dogs. I rescued a dog from the shelter so I have experience with taking care of animals that can be a bit more difficult. I am willing to clean up messes. About: I've taken care of my own and others' pets since I was 10 years old, for family, friends, and later trusted referrals. I've done sitting for breeding kennels, pet families, and for dog trainers. I've worked as a Veterinary Assistant, and I'm a retired RN. My professional experience has been extensive, and that can benefit you and your pets. I'm also a member of Pet Sitters International, where I often take advantage of continuing education on all different types of pets. Taking care of pets has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Give me a call, I'd love to chat about your pets, and how I can help you with your needs. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Warmest regards, Laura I'm a retired RN, so I have plenty of time to give your pets. Daily or weekly visits are no problem. My time is flexible, and I'm willing to meet your special pet requests when time and ability allows. I treat others' pets as I would love and treat my own, recognizing that your family members are as important to you as mine is to me. Because of my previous profession in healthcare, I take my professionalism with me every day when I care for your pets in your home. I like to give my clients little extras as I'm able to. A handwritten note about something funny your pet did while in my care, a selfie, or even a copy of a quarterly newsletter I like to play with, containing pet care tips, and other topics. I take my pet sitting career as seriously as I took my previous healthcare career. I also take pets into my home on a limited basis, but do ask about that service in case I have openings. I have a six year old miniature Dachshund of my own, and she's well socialized. She loves having occasional playmates! She and I go for walks in the neighborhood, and occasional errands as weather allows.

About: What began as a hobby years ago has become our full-time passion. My husband and I have been caring for animals most of our lives, and in recent years we have worked with multiple rescues offering boarding and daycare in our home for those pups that do not do well in a typical kennel. We recently opened a daycare facility with the same mission of creating an in-home feel, and as part of that, we continue to offer limited boarding options in our home as well. Feel free to call us to see which of our services would be the best fit for you and your pet(s)! I am a certified dog trainer (CDT), and have dealt with everything from puppies to seniors, to anxiety/aggression issues, medications, etc. There is a place for every dog with Schreiber Tails— just ask our clients! We'll have a brief information sheet for you to fill out to help us get to know your pup and offer the absolute best care. Be sure to check us out on FB (Schreiber Tails) for more info! We love spending our time with the animals, and we will give your furry family member the same love and attention we give our own! Caring for your pet isn’t something to squeeze into my daily routine; it IS my daily routine! We travel from our home to the daycare facility and back throughout the day caring for the animals. If you are comfortable with your pup attending daycare, they could be with us every moment of the day! Otherwise, pups boarded in our home may be alone for up to 2-4 hours at a time, but receive plenty of love, exercise, and mental stimulation in between to keep them happy and healthy, and to send them home tired! As a long-time pet care professional, we do not take any chances with the safety of your pets. Each new pup is introduced to our own pups one at a time so as not to create an overwhelming situation for anyone. I am trained to read dog body language and we do have the capability to separate pups as needed, with the time to give everyone the attention they need and deserve!
About: I have never known a life without at least 2 dogs around the house, and also a few cats. I’ve grown up with mastiffs, pitbulls, chihuahuas, chow chows, golden retrievers, stray rescued dogs, injured/sick dogs, puppies, elderly dogs, basically all you could name! I have also walked and cared for many dogs of friends and family and I love meeting new furry faces! Every dog has their own special routine and I am dedicated to make sure that is followed thoroughly. I genuinely care for animals as if they are humans and they should be loved as such :). As a college student home for the summer, I want to schedule as many walks as possible! My schedule is very open past 11am when I typically am done with my workouts :). I am willing to schedule other things around walks and home visits. I believe that it is important to nail down routines for each specific pet. Feeding, walking, and playing should be a part of every animals daily routine! When trusted in a clients home, I believe that it is essential to be respectful of the space and leave the area even better than I found it. I care for your space as much as I care for your loved pets!
About: I have my own dog, chickens, cat, cows, pigs. Have had a horse and love every animal big or small! I have always wanted to take care of animals and make sure they are happy and healthy ! I know how it is to stress about having to let your animals out while at work to potty or that new puppy needs attention. I'm your lady ! Let me help you with your furry friends ! My schedule is open and available! I have to get some sleep though! So prefer not too early and not too late but we can figure it out either way ! I will make sure the animals are well fed and have gone to the bathroom and have felt loved the entire time I'm with them. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets but no worries when I'm around ! I'm the only human my dog has i know how important it is to have a responsibility like feeding animals. I don't play about animal health! Let me show you i care !
About: I absolutely love dogs ! They truly are man’s best friend till the end. I have two dogs of my own , whom I love very much ! I have experience in dog sitting as well as dog walking and I am passionate about providing good care and excited to meet new pups! I fit pet care into my day/week routine because I have two dogs of my own. One is a pit bull and another is a boarder collie so to say they need care is an understatement. They have the upmost energy. I will play with them and wear them out so they get a good nights sleep. With that being said we walk, hike, run, go to the beach, play fetch , etc. as much as we can. I treat my puppies very kindly , if not they’re quite spoiled. 😉 I care very deeply about animals and I aim to help when I can !

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
