“Ariana did an amazing job with my Sexy. She made sure to update me on her behavior, comfort level, eating and naps. I’m never gonna use anyone else to care for my dog! 🙂. Ariana is, by far, The Best.”
“Thank you Penny and Barron for taking such good care of Clemy. I appreciate all you did to help her feel at home. It was comforting to know she was in good hands while I was gone. I really appreciated the pictures and updates, too.”
“Maceo took exceptional care of our dog, Tux, during his stay. He kept us updated, was very responsive, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. When we picked Tux up, he was happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. It's obvious that Maceo genuinely loves animals and treats them like family. We greatly appreciated his professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. We would absolutely trust him with Tux again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter. Thank you, Maceo, for taking such great care of Tux! 🐾⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! Sydney was reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. My dog was happy, well-exercised, and relaxed when I returned. I appreciated the updates and photos—it gave me great peace of mind. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!”
“Jennifer is hands downs one of the best sitters we have found on Rover! She’s great at keeping you well informed with your pet while you are away. Jennifer is also very thorough with how she cares for your pet and try’s to keep your pet on a similar routine as if they were home. Our dog definitely enjoyed his time with her and her family.”
“I booked Natasha for a full week while I traveled to Nigeria, and she was absolutely amazing! She sent me pictures every single day, kept me updated without me even having to ask, and treated my dog like he was her own. I could tell he was happy, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying his little vacation. Coming home to a joyful pup says it all. I’m really grateful for the care and peace of mind she gave me. Highly recommend her and I will definitely be booking again! 🐾❤️”
“Langston always does a great job of taking care of my energetically, timid Airedale. I used to come to him months ago and have returned for some great customer service. You’d be missing out if you didn’t book with him and his dog Moscoe.”
“This is my second experience with Tenisha & Eric. It has been easy and a pleasure. Tenisha always responds quickly and sends plenty of photos. I feel like my boys are completely safe with them.”
“Izzy had a wonderful time with Dorothy. We were not sure if she was going to come home with us when we picked her up. She is the kind and loving dog sitter you dream about.”
“Kristy, was amazing! She communicates very well and was very patient with me about picking up and dropping off. I can’t wait for Sir to have the opportunity to stay with her again. Kristy and their set up is the best!”
“I left my dog bowls at home and she had some which was a life saver. She listened to all of my instructions and she responded very fast and sent pictures of Marley to me. I think I was more nervous than my Marley. Highly recommend and will use her in the future ?”
“This was an awesome choice! Alyssa took very good care of KoKo. I loved loved loved the communication and daily photos of her progress. I normally give KoKo a bath after going to doggy daycare, but she came back the same way I sent her. I also appreciate cl”
“Shakeria was absolutely AMAZING! I’ve struggled to find someone new for my dogs and she was everything plus more. I received daily updates and had no worries the entire time they were with her. They seemed like they were on vacation! My parents actually left their dogs with her too (who are very particular about who they’re with, might I add) and they loved her too!! I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will 100% be a new consistent client. If anyone is ever worried about her only having a few reviews, please believe it is only because she is just starting in the area. She is nothing short of amazing and I guarantee your fur babies will be in great hands. I look forward to utilizing your services again in the near future!”
“Susan was so good with Homer! From the initial meet and greet through the first time sitting. If Homer is happy, we are happy. Communicates very well and is understanding when our travel plans adjust.”
“She is absolutely amazing! Do not hesitate to book with her. She was super accommodating and punctual with pickup. She kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout the entire stay, and my dogs LOVED her. I have two large crazy dogs that are a handful and she was perfect with them. You can tell she is experienced and knows how to handle them. She let them play, monitored them & let me know about an ear issue one of them had, how much they ate and when, and what they did throughout the day. Her dogs were very friendly and everyone got along great! They were super happy and tired when we picked them up, I know they had a good time. We will be repeat clients for sure!!!”
“Where do I start? She is the most considerate dog care taker. I trust her with my pup any day :) Thank you for your hospitality and all that you do to make my family feel at ease when we are out of town away from our anxious little thing.”
“Cassandra was amazing with my dog. She provided constant updates and communication, and she also sent me a picture everyday which I loved. Love the fact that she has a fenced in backyard so he could run around and still give me a piece of mind. All in all, 5-star option here with Cassandra, and I’d trust her with any pet! We’ll definitely be back soon :)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Roopville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Roopville.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Roopville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
