“Melissa was amazing with our Stella! This was our first time using rover and Melissa made us feel comfortable and secure that Stella was in great hands! We will definitely be using Melissa again and can’t recommend her enough! :)”

“Jason has been absolutely incredible. We needed someone to let our 2 pups out 3x a day and we were in a time crunch. This was my very first time using rover so I was a bit hesitant. Jason came and met the pups and us before booking and right away he had such a professional and mature demeanor. So happy we found Jason and will be using him again for sure!”

About: While I was growing up, my family always had cats and dogs. I have a lot of experience taking care of animals. I have 7 pets. I have 2 rabbits, 2 Guinea pigs, a crested gecko, a cat and a dog. I have been volunteering at a rabbit rescue for 3 years. I have experience giving medication to dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs. I am comfortable around dogs of all energy levels. I work full time from home, 8-5 Monday to Friday. I will be available most weekday nights and weekends. Days and times can be flexible. If I am caring for a pet in someone’s home, I will be very respectful of their home and exactly follow their instructions as far as taking care of their fur baby.

“Sharon took care of my two cats for 5 days. She was absolutely amazing, provided daily updates/photos, was accessible and went above and beyond to make sure my fur babies were taken care of while I was away!”

About: I love all dogs! They are all so funny, each with their own fun personalities. I love to go for walks with the dogs, sometimes 2 at a time! When your pup is in my care my focus is on keeping them safe and happy! I am retired from working so I like to say that I am a stay at home dog Mom! When I am watching your dog, there is nothing more important to me than your fur baby’s safety and happiness. Since I am home full time I am available for your pup 24/7! I do occasionally leave the house but usually not longer than an hour or two. I have a large fenced in yard and a sweet, fun 2 year old Lab mix who loves to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. I have a 5 month old grand puppy and Reba loves playing with her!

About: New to Rover but not new to pet-sitting. I have had pets or been around animals my entire life (including puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, fish, rabbits, and birds) and they have always been considered a part of the family. I love every pet as if they’re my own- prepare for the custody battle 😅. lol jk. In all seriousness, your pets comfort is important to me and I am confident they will feel right at home. I have experience with puppies and all the beautiful challenges that come with that stage, as well as senior care. I have also had experience with adopting my own dog with reactive tendencies which has made me hyper aware of the importance of dogs social cues both with animals and people, and reading their body language/boundaries. Safety for all parties involved is always my top priority. I work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible. Walks availability: Anytime Sun-Tues, (Wed-Sat hours fluctuate, will need to discuss exact needs.) Doggy daycare availability: Anytime Sun-Sat (if pick-up/drop-off needed will need to discuss availability in more depth.) Boarding availability: Anytime Sun-Sat (if pick-up/drop-off needed will need to discuss availability in more depth.) I currently have boarding slots set up to 4 at a time but feel free to contact me regarding specific availability needs. For example, does your pet require an environment without other animals? Do you have 2 dogs but 3 cats? Based on your pets specific needs, we can discuss alternate solutions. I do require meet & greets for any new clients to ensure it’s a good fit and safety requirements are met for all. We can discuss what works best for your pet. As long as animal is house broken and properly trained, I am flexible with crate/uncrated visits/boarding. My apartment complex is dog friendly but unfenced so would require on leash walks. Property also includes fenced in dog area, or I am open to dog park runs if that is your preference. If scheduling crated boarding, will need to provide own crate.

About: Hello! My name is Samantha, and I’ve been surrounded by fur babies my entire life. Growing up, I had two miniature poodles, one of whom had special needs. He struggled with chronic allergies and a seizure disorder, and I helped care for him with daily medications and a special diet that gave him a long, happy life until he passed at 16 years old. Today, my family includes two standard poodles, two parrots, and a rabbit. Beyond that, I also care for the wildlife around my home. I feed 20–30 blue jays daily, I feed stray cats, and I’ve built enough trust with the wild rabbits in my yard that they now let me hand-feed them. Those quiet moments with animals bring me so much joy. In high school, I pursued my passion for animal care by completing the BOCES veterinary program, where I earned two Awards of Excellence. I also hold a Veterinary Medical Assistant certification, which reflects my dedication to giving animals the love and care they deserve. I’m starting college this fall and am excited about my future, but my love for animals will always hold a big place in my heart. That’s why I’ve decided to make room for even more fur babies by offering my help here to anyone in need. I’m flexible with my schedule and happy to work with you to find times that best fit your pet’s needs. Any time of the day you need, I’m there. When it comes to caring for your dogs, I make safety and trust my top priorities. Whether I’m walking your pup, staying with them in your home, or just dropping by for a visit, you can count on me to treat them as if they were my own. I always pay close attention to their surroundings, making sure walks are safe, leashes are secure, and they’re never put in uncomfortable situations. Your trust means everything to me, and I know how important it is to feel at ease when leaving your pets in someone else’s care. I follow all instructions carefully, maintain consistency with their routines, and keep communication open so you always know how they’re doing. I also believe a calm, positive environment is key to happy pets. Whether it’s giving them plenty of exercise, engaging playtime, or just quiet companionship, I do my best to create an environment where your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved.

About: I’ve been a dog owner most of my life, beginning when I was just a child. We had our boy Ozzy, a beautiful yellow lab, for 14 unforgettable years. Once we got over his passing early in 2024, we adopted a beautiful, spunky little guy named Koa! He’s a lab/terrier mix and currently about 10 months old. I am his primary caregiver while my wife is at work, and we are what I like to say ‘best buds 4 life!’ :). I am also deeply committed to learning how to train him, and in the process have learned a ton about the training side of things. He was a bit wild when we got him at 7 months old and we paid a professional to teach us how to train him. So I am certainly no stranger to spunky, high-energy dogs! When our boy Ozzy was getting up in age, he unfortunately started dealing with anxiety, confusion, and bowel problems. I am definitely sympathetic and more than qualified to deal with older dogs too. Taking care of our boy Koa is actually my full-time gig right now, so my daily schedule is mostly open. As I get more clients I suspect that could change but for now I’m very available. This includes most weekends and holidays too. I am well-versed in dog walking and/or sitting. For boarding, we have a nice big fenced-in yard that’s secure. Lots of toys and balls. :).

About: I have taken care of pets all my life from dogs to cats to bunnies to snakes and bearded dragons. Myself and my husband Steve would work together in caring for your fur babies. I work as a nurse and I work mostly weekends and my husband is home all weekend. We used to foster puppies for various shelters but decided to take a break for the summer and are looking to make your dogs feel at home. We can only take in dog friendly and kid friendly dogs as we also have 2 dogs and a 3 year old. We have a fenced in yard and go on frequent walks and would love for our dog Remy to have another friend to play with! I work mostly weekends and my husband is home all weekend so your fur babies won’t be alone. We also have 2 children that love to help with the dogs. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs. My one dog, Remy, is high energy and loves to play. My other dog, Shiba, is old and just sleeps all day so Remy would love to have a playmate. We do not crate our dogs but can crate yours if that’s what your dog is used to.

“Kelly is the cat whisperer (for dogs too!!) My 7 month of age ‘Cornish Rex” Luna loved Kelly for knowing everything about kitten/cat life. She provided play time, kitty meal time, along width affection. And during Luna rest time her liter boxes and dishes were cleaned. Kelly also advised me regarding a skin care question I had about Luna too. She is very professional, reliable and experienced with dog/puppy care too. I highly recommend her with confidence.”

About: hello Rover peeps! My name is Laboni & I’ve watched houses & pets for years. My boyfriend & I are the point of contact for friends, family, etc. because we genuinely understand that your pets truly are family & they deserve to be treated as such. I work full-time, but i can definitely stop in before work & spend nights taking care of those you hold dear. If you require housesitting, I can adjust my schedule to make sure your animals get the routine they are used to. My job allows me to work from home on Thursdays & Fridays & although I usually work Saturdays, if you book 2 weeks in advance I can watch your fur baby for a long weekend if need be. I take pride in my work & if selected, i will prioritize your animals :) My dog is pretty easy, I must admit. She just needs some attention & some space.. mostly space 😂 but I’ve watched dogs & even cats who are more on the needy side & I can adjust my actions accordingly. In the past, I have administered medication in the form of pills for dogs with heartworm - maintaining the schedule set out by my client. I have also dropped in on a clients cat who was more self-sufficient but just needed a little extra attention on occasion. Whatever the munchkin needs is what I provide!

Samantha C.
“Samantha is one of the sweetest and kindest people I know, with a huge heart for all animals. She helps my husband and I care for our poodles, especially my male poodle who has hip dysplasia and an injured leg. He receives injections twice a week for his condition and takes Dasuquin daily to support his joint health, and Samantha has been such a big help with his care. My husband and I also feel at ease when we travel, knowing that our dogs are in her hands. She truly gives us peace of mind. What makes Samantha so special is the way she connects with animals on such a genuine level. She is patient, gentle, and always attentive to their needs. Even when my poodle has his tough days, she takes the time to comfort him and make sure he feels safe. She doesn’t just handle the basics of feeding or walking, she notices the little details that matter, like when he’s moving a bit stiff or when he just needs some extra love and attention. She’s also incredibly reliable, which is something that’s hard to come by. It’s clear that she doesn’t just see this as a responsibility but as something she truly cares about. Whether it’s helping us with the medical side of things, giving them playtime, walking them or just being there for snuggles, Samantha puts her whole heart into it.”
