It's a relief she only takes one animal at a time since our dog doesn't like other dogs. At the meet and greet, Sarah asked many questions to get a feel for Milo (eating & bathroom habits, walking, sleeping habits etc...) To start, her home is absolutely immaculate. I received a daily update with pictures on how our dog was adjusting & doing overall. Milo was displaying some quirky behaviors which Sarah reported right away & thought was cute/funny. She was very accepting, flexible in many ways, and an absolute delight to talk with. It is apparent she is a dog lover! Upon pick up, Milo was happy and all his belongings were packed & ready to go. I’m here to give them the little bit of extra love throughout the day while the parents are away. I am available throughout most of the day! I have my own car, no problem there. About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I'm a sound designer and composer working on contract-based stage productions, which gives me a flexible schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine — I walk dogs at least three times a day, feed them as many times as requested, and make sure they get plenty of playtime outside of my work hours. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. Plus, because I fly in and out for work and can't have my own dog right now, caring for other people's dogs is something I genuinely look forward to and prioritize every single day. I live in a first-floor condo apartment in a neighborhood with lots of green areas — perfect for dogs who love quick potty breaks and longer sniffing walks. I let dogs free roam throughout my home and they're absolutely allowed on furniture. I treat every dog as if they were my own, which means lots of freedom, comfort, and attention. Since I do this part-time, I never have more than two unfamiliar dogs at once, so each dog gets a calm, focused environment. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. At my home our yard is only fenced on 3 sides while it is a large space they would be on a lead at all times.
About: I have been the pet sitter for all my friends and family for years , from 200pds English mastiff to 4pd Pomeranian. I have had 5 dogs at one time and it was a joy watching them play. I worked at New York’s Best Pets on Dyckman 200 Street before it burned down unfortunately and there I took care of feeding, grooming and playing with the pets as well as customer service. I’ve taken care of many dogs in the past, from walking to dog sitting. I have given prescribed medicine to dogs when they needed it and have trimmed their hair when asked to, as well as given them a full shower and a good groom.
