About: I know all of the forest trails and beautiful walking paths in LF and nearby. Your dog will be very stimulated by the sights and smells on these hikes. I am retired and can accommodate all schedules. Also, I’m a big man so I can easily care for and hike with dogs of all sizes. Whatever care or attention your pet needs, I can do. I have had cats and dogs all of my life. I am familiar with the nature of most pure-breds and all mutts.

About: Aside from having my own personal dogs in home most of my life I have been volunteering working with and training rescues for 2 years now. Two hours in the Morning, two hours around lunch and all evenings are all free to care for the pets. Walks, fetch and training all available. If dogs are kid and animal friendly I will be able to give them lots of socialization in those environments plus lots of outdoor activity. Have experience working with dogs that don’t interact with other dogs very well.

“Deidre was AMAZING with my with two pups and can’t RECOMMEND her enough! Unfortunately, one of my dogs became very ill before I left for vacation and required extensive, round the clock care. Deirdre was able to administer all of the medications, stick to the strict food regimen, come by every 2 hours to check in, and even cleaned up all of the accidents from my sick pup. :/ She kept me updated throughout the trip with texts and pictures, asked questions when needed, and when my other dog sitter fell through at last minute, she was able to rearrange her schedule to cover. Overall, I am very grateful for her help and it truly put my mind at ease knowing Deirdre could be there to take care of them! Thank you again!”

I have a fenced in yard with a dog on a leash, so I understand the importance of keeping an eye while they are outside. I am also capable of crating.

I live in downtown Chicago and have two dogs with very different needs—one is a 13-year-old who’s anxious and can’t be kenneled, and the other is a high-energy 2-year-old black lab mix. I rarely travel and almost never leave my dogs with anyone else, so I was nervous about the whole arrangement. Jillian immediately put me at ease. She not only adapted quickly to the situation but went above and beyond—taking both dogs on long walks (even in unpleasant weather!) and being incredibly mindful of their individual temperaments. She also worked seamlessly with my mother-in-law, who was hosting the dogs at her house but isn’t able to walk them for extended periods. Jillian was reliable, kind, and clearly very experienced. I truly can’t recommend her enough and fully plan to work with her again.”

About: I have been watching my neighbors dogs for the past 17 years. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages. Since I am young and active, I can take your dog on walks and provide plenty of exercise throughout the day. Additionally, I can provide overnight sitting and ensure your house looks occupied. I am more than happy to bring in your mail/packages, water your plants, adjust the blinds, turn on and off lights, bring garbage cans to the curb (and back) for trash pick up. I have a cat of my own named Oliver so I also have years of experience with cat care! I can come check on your feline friend and will feed, refresh water, play, and clean the litter box as needed. I am very free during the summer. During the week I can stop by anytime during the day, as well as provide overnight care. I am also free most weekends. I understand it is hard to leave your furry friend so I really do go out of my way to put pet owner's at ease. I will consistently provide updates and photos so you know you are in good hands.

About: We are a dog loving family with two friendly rescue dogs on our own. Large fenced in backyard to play in, safe and quiet neighborhood. I am available for daily walks or for boarding during the week as well as over the weekend. Will be able to accommodate your fur baby needs. Although I’ve grown up with cats, I love dogs just as much and have spent the last 5-7 years walking and looking after dogs of all sizes for friends and family. I have a big backyard where your pet can play, but because I have two cats, I don’t take long dog stays at my home. I’m more than happy to care for your pets in your home and will always follow any instructions you provide me! I can crate your dog if needed, spend time outside for potty breaks (and clean up after!), play with them, and take them for as many walks as you (or your pet) want. I’m very experienced with house sitting through years of babysitting (most of my clients have dogs) and am very comfortable staying in your home for a few nights to keep your fur babies company.
