“Alyssa boarded our two dogs for 4 days. She was phenomenal, as well as her two girls and husband. Our Daisy and Moose could not have been in better hands. Her own dog, Bella, greeted us as we arrived, and our dogs and Bella immediately started playing. Alyssa sent us pictures every day and made us feel very confident that they were not only receiving excellent care, but also enjoying their stay immensely. We would not hesitate to use her again as she provides excellent care.”

“Cyndie was great! Her home is super accommodating and setup perfectly for sitting. Our pup couldn’t have had a better experience. If Cyndie will have him, he will be back!”

“Misty and her home were both fantastic for my somewhat timid dog Ramsey! Misty kept me updated throughout the Ramsey’s stay and included photos showing how my pup was doing. At the end of Ramsey’s stay, I picked up a relaxed and happy dog! We will be going back to Misty next time Tamsey needs to be boarded!”

“Sandy was incredibly communicative, kind, and thoughtful. She helps with med administration and sent many pictures. My dog clearly enjoyed being with her and playing with her two cats. I will definitely book with her again.”

“Shane was so great. He took on Loki so last minute, and I can tell he treated my pup really well. He was responsive, quick, and kept me up to date with great pics. I’ll definitely use him again!”

“Melanie always takes great care of my fur babies when I have to go out of town and can't take them with me! Daily pictures and updates, my dogs almost seem like they don't want to come home with me!”

“Elizabeth is wonderful! Her home is spotless-even though she has three ADORABLE dogs of her own. Elizabeth is truly a "dog person". I was worried that my puppy would want to stay forever and be a part of her pack!”

“Lindsey was amazing with our dog Rocky. He is an elder dog and has knee issues so steps are difficult for him. He hurt his back/knees while staying with Lindsey. She let us know right away and updated us frequently with messages and photos. She stayed close to him and physically carried him outside and assisted with him standing during the rest of the stay. Upon our request, she took him to his vet also. She treated him like one of her own. Although we are saddened that he hurt himself, it could have happened anywhere and we definitely recommend Lindsey as a great pet sitter and person. Our "Rocky" is improving every day.”

“So happy Sydnie was able to watch my babies! Her and her family watched my 2 dogs for a week and truly treated them as their own. She kept me updated daily as well and sent plenty of photos. Would be lucky to have her watch our dogs again! Thanks Sydnie 🤍”

About: I was born and raised around dogs specifically schnauzers and labradors, and love them deeply! I also have experience dog sitting and love every minute of it. My experience with dogs ranges from the puppy stage all the way through passing. I am the biggest animal lover and melt around any dog. I have no pets at the moment or children so I am looking to love on someone else’s sweet baby until I get my own! I work 2-3/12 hour shifts a week so I am home the remainder of the week. I enjoy going on walks and spending time with family and friends when they are available on the weekends! I am very familiar with all the dog friendly restaurants and stores in my area. If the owners are comfortable with it, I love taking their sweet pups along with me to those pet friendly areas! I am a firm believer if the dog has the personality for it and the owner is comfortable with it, they should be included in our daily life! They only get to live a full and vibrant life if we let them! I am pet CPR and First Aid certified. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I make sure to always use a leash when outdoors. I live in a very quiet and well established neighborhood with very few dogs and very little traffic. I have experience watching dogs with medication needs and always keep the owners updated with their status! I work in pediatric healthcare so I am very observant to unspoken behavioral changes that can signal an illness or injury. I also have experience with slow feed bowls as I understand the severity for some dogs. I know as a previous pet parent that your pets safety, health, and happiness is the greatest peace of mind you could ask for!
“Michelle provided such a nice family/home atmosphere for my 2 little dogs who stayed with her for a few days. They were a little scared at first but Michelle helped them settle in nicely and kept me regularly updated with updates and photos. My dogs even slept in her bed along with her little dog! It was very reassuring to know that my dogs were in a safe loving environment.”

About: I have been grooming for 14 years and offer boarding. I offer one on one services for all pets. Contact for appointments to book for grooming or boarding. Groomong and boarding is what I do full time and I'm home almost all the time so your babies will always be looked after and have me around them watching over them. I have fenced in yard and have separate kennels for each Pet so everyone will be separated unless owners are ok with them interacting with my own personal dogs who are very friendly.
About: I am an RN, used to looking after folks since 1987, I have fostered for several dog rescues over the years also. My care and concern for dogs welfare is huge! I’m part time working so have plenty time to spend with the dogs. I have a large country homestead setting, with safe fenced in areas for play and exercise! My two dogs are used to playing with other dog friends - all under supervision, with crates for rest time, and separate areas for mealtimes in case of issues.
“As always, Robert and his family took great care of our fur baby! It is great not having to worry about how your dog is doing when you go out of town. Copper once again came home worn out, which tells me he had a blast. Thanks again!”

96% of sitters in Rome can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Rome.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
