About: I have been working with all different types of dogs my whole life. Ive owened Great Danes to Chihuahuas. Recently have been walking and sitting dogs for friends. Dogs have an energy that you don't get from working with any other animal or human. I have found working with dogs makes it more fun to "work". I currently am unable to own my own dog, but am very excited to be able to help other owners out. I also enjoy getting outside and being active. If your dog likes to jog, I don't have a problem doing so. Fetch or the dog parks are also fun alternatives, if I know owners are ok with it. I’m currently working overnight shift (9:45pm-6:15am)Sat-Wed, but have plenty of time during the day to take care of your pets needs. I currently don’t have any pets, so I’d love to be able to dote on yours while you’re away. I prefer to sit in the home of the animal that is needing the care, as I feel that makes for an easier transition for the pet.

About: What sets me apart is my background as a veterinary technician. I’m experienced in administering medications, recognizing early signs of illness or distress, and following detailed care routines. I stay calm in unexpected situations and prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency. Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll receive knowledgeable, compassionate care tailored to their needs. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible weekday schedule that allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate morning, midday, and evening visits, as well as extended care when needed. My routine allows pets frequent check-ins, consistent feeding times, medication administration, and plenty of attention and supervision. I have multiple areas in my home where your pet can stay either with my pets or separately, depending on their comfort level. Pets are welcome inside, and if they prefer or require crate time, I’m happy to provide a crate as well. I prioritize a calm, safe, and flexible environment tailored to each pet’s needs.

About: Not only have I had many fur babies over the years, I have a very special place in my heart for them. Throughout the years, I have also cared for other people's fur babies. I can not pup sit for dogs in my home that are over 30 lbs. The profile doesn't let us specify this and my sincere apologies for the inconvenience for this. I currently work full time with set hours. I can easily accommodate to morning and evenings schedules, including weekends. There isn't much in a schedule I couldn't accommodate. I have a privacy fencedbyard with lots of room to run. It is a very safe area to have dogs in and close proximity to the library for walking.

About: Hello, a little bit about me is my mom was actually a miniature dog breeder while I was younger, and I would actually help her take care of the puppies, along with having the privilege to be with the little mama’s in the middle of the birthing process. It resulted in me learning how to take care of the many animals, and how to have a lot of patience lol. I, myself, have 2 baby dogs and 1 needy cat, so I understand how it is when they become your world. If you have any more questions about me, just feel free to ask! I know that it can be an overwhelming experience to find a good sitter, but I am here to make it as fun and relaxing as possible. Thank you so much, and I look forward to supporting you! I am currently working part-time at Farmers Insurance, and it is 1-5pm on Monday-Friday. I also just prefer a couple hours for the morning on Sundays to go to church, but all other hours I am completely free! I cannot take care of pets in my home sadly, but I will be able to soon! I will update you guys when that happens, but I am willing to drive to them for now!

About: I have a strong background with a diverse range of animals. Dogs, cats, horses, livestock (big and small), alpacas... The list goes on! “Jamie is the best! We come up to Tahoe regularly and every time she is up for walking our pup without question. Even made arrangements for a walk within 2 hours, saving the day for us while we were on the slopes. She lets the pup run free which tires her out and we all know that a tired pup is a good pup :)”

“Arianna does an excellent job with our three dogs. We have three miniature dachshunds that are somewhat aggressive. She is very patient and calm with them and even brought a trainer with her to help with the aggressiveness. Now they jump in her lap. We can now go places we were not able to before. I highly recommend all her services.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Rockvale. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Rockvale after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
