“We could not recommend Rachel & Rover with more enthusiasm. Rachel was absolutely FABULOUS with our furry child, Poppins. It was a sense of release to be able to communicate with Rachel as our vacation progressed. Poppins went from hiding under the bed to comfortably sit & sleep w Rachel. She's sensitive & a little nervous. Rachel was able to build a relationship with her. Thank you for this valuable resource! Rachel is a gem-- our house was spotless, even the bed sheets & towels were laundered & changed!+ Thank you 😃”

“Jackie was great with our cat and our home while we were away. She was able to recognize signs of stress and adjust the care she provided to make sure our cat was happy and comfortable (he is typically on the skittish/nervous side as it is, so we wanted to make sure he was in good hands while out of town). She also sent us photos and updates while we were away. She was very kind and respectful. We will definitely use her again in the future!”
“Wonderful stay for our little guy in our home! Samantha did so good with our puppy and on such a short notice. He was just training and she was understanding with him. We appreciated that he did not suffer any regression with his new training and actually was progressing right along as would be hoped. Definitely would love to have Samantha stay for us again, and would recommend highly!!”
“Kelly came in a very difficult time for us when we had a family emergency. Is answered immediately when we needed her and took great care of our dog and home. Kelly is truly special and I will absolutely use her again. Thank you Kelly!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care of our dog and cat received while we were away. Serenidy went above and beyond, showering them with love and attention. Not only did they feel comfortable and loved, but our home was also in great hands!”

“Destiny was amazing! She kept constant communication and sent pictures of my puppers to help ease my mind. She’s extremely sweet and made my pup feel comfortable. I will definitely be rebooking”

“Dan was fantastic with our two pups! They were very happy and well taken care of when we got home and the house was spotless. Dan sent pictures and updates which was very appreciated. We will absolutely use Dan again!”

“Amanda was great! I was worried about my dog because she’s older. But she was very well taken care of and Amanda made sure Reese’s was in good hands! I will definitely rebook with her.”

“This was our second time booking with Kasianay and it won't be our last! Our dog, Mable, loves spending time with her. She is an excellent house sitter and did a fantastic job communicating with us while we were away.”

“Stephanie was a life saver. I had a short notice booking. She was able to fit in a meet and greet, which was very important because we have a high anxiety dog. She was sweet and calm with my dogs, and also playful for my high energy dog. And our high anxiety dog started to warm up to her after a day or so: She left our home clean and orderly. Would definitely recommend!”

“We re-booked Jenna for a 12-day vacation to care for our elderly two dogs with multiple medical needs. We trust her to care for them, administer their medications, and keep us informed. She sent pictures all along. The dogs enjoy having Jenna as their caregiver! I recommend her as a pet sitter as well to do drop-ins. We have also asked her to check on the dogs, let them out and feed them when we have a function in the evening. She’s a lovely, caring person.”

“This was a repeat housesitting stay with Jessica, and once again she was absolutely wonderful. We will happily book with her anytime she's available. We have two cats and a dog, and all three love her. One of our cats is extremely shy and typically takes a very long time to warm up to new people. During Jessica's first stay, she was incredibly patient and respectful, allowing our cat to set the pace for interactions rather than forcing attention. Because of that, our cat clearly remembered her and trusted her. Within minutes of Jessica arriving for this stay, she came right up to greet her and even allowed Jessica to pet her again, which is something she rarely does with people outside our family. Jessica communicates well, follows instructions carefully, and genuinely cares about the animals in her care. She sends regular updates and lots of wonderful photos, which always help put our minds at ease while we're away. Seeing our fur babies happy, comfortable, and well cared for means so much to us. One thing that really stood out to us was what happened when she wasn't available for a previous booking. Rather than simply declining, she introduced us to her sister, Natalie, who is also a Rover sitter. Because we'd had a bad experience with another sitter in the past, Jessica went out of her way to personally come to the meet and greet with Natalie to help everyone feel comfortable and make the transition smooth. She wasn't being paid for that time and wasn't even the one caring for our pets during that booking, but she still took the extra step because she genuinely wanted us and our pets to feel at ease. That meant a lot to us. Jessica is reliable, thoughtful, trustworthy, and professional. She also takes excellent care of our home. When we return, everything is clean, organized, and exactly as we left it. You'd hardly know anyone had been staying there. Most importantly, our pets are happy, relaxed, and stress-free when we get home. We couldn't ask for more and highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.”

“James did a great job taking care of my two cats while I was on vacation. He sent me pics and videos every day so I could see how my boys were doing. The house was spotless and so was the litter box. Highly recommend! And I would definitely re-hire.”
“George quickly built a strong relationship with our dog, Wicket. We got so many updates while we traveled overseas I never had to worry. Was delighted to find a calm and happy dog and a tidy house upon our return. George also was able to provide more advanced care for Wicket due to his Vet Tech experience and we needed that as Wicket was injured before we left for our trip. Overall very pleased.”

“Naho was so sweet. She took great care of my cat and communicated with me daily. She went the extra mile to find things to do with my cat, making snacks for her and even made the cutest crochet hat for her! Love her!”

“Crissy is a knowledgeable and professional dog sitter. She was able to easily navigate our different dynamics, having a newly adopted dog who is still getting used to her new home & also an energetic fun-loving hound who can be a lot to handle. Crissy came and handled them with ease. Even took them on walks and sent plenty of pictures and updates. We are so glad we found her!”

“Janelle was great with my boys! When we got home, we found super happy dogs and a very clean house! She is easy to communicate with and kept us very informed on our dogs/house while we were away. We will definitely book her again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,412 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Rockmart. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rockmart walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rockmart maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rockmart choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rockmart. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
