House Sitting Rockhurst

About: I am the girl who sees a dog out in public and will always give it a belly rub! I have had dogs and cats since I was born but fully took on the responsibility of dog/cat watching, feeding, walking, and over all care for about 6 years now. I have 2 families I have consistently dog watched for 2 years now but am happy to meet more furry friends. My own personal fuzzy companions consist of 4 dogs and 5 cats! I am currently a full time student at Wichita State University. I am in Student Ambassador Society and in then sorority Alpha Phi. I am only in school 4 out of the 7 days, as well as long breaks between classes and a flexible schedule! I am well experienced with reactive dogs, dog kennels and crates, and friends who pull what feels like double my body weight on long walks. I am comfortable with over night care and well as assisting with appointments!

“Kary was amazing! Our two dogs absolutely adored her!! She gave them a ton of exercise, took them on long walks, and they got plenty of cuddle time too. I really appreciated the pictures she sent and how she kept me up to date on how they were doing. It's never easy to be away from pets when they're truly your family, but Kary made me feel extremely comfortable and confident that they were in great hands. 12/10 I would recommend her to any pet parent. About: I’ve been taking care of animals for over 10 years now! I’ve taken care of both Dogs and cats of all sizes! I’ve been dog sitting for years and I have been working at Sydney’s pet resort as a supervisor for 4 years now! I have experience giving all animals medication and will help animals with any medical issues they may have! I have experience working with puppies and senior dogs, as well as kittens and senior cats! I currently work Tuesday through Saturdays but I will work around my schedule to make sure I find time to care for your pets! I am typically free all day on Sundays and Mondays! I am currently not watching any animals in my own home but I am able to watch them in the comfort of their own home!

About: I am a registered veterinary technician so rest assured your pets are in caring and experienced hands with me! I treat each home I enter like my own and aim to leave it better than I found it. There's no sugarcoating it.. I'm a busy bee who works full time and has 2 kids, but rest assured I don't take on more than I can handle. I always discuss your pet's needs and schedules with you before accepting a job. I understand that it is not easy leaving your pets in the care of someone else, let alone someone you've just met! Your pets will get the utmost care with me by getting all the snuggles, all the treats, all the fetch/tug of war, or... all the leaving them the heck alone if *that's* more what they're in to. I am also comfortable giving a variety of medications and dog and cat CPR certified.

About: Animal have always been part of my life. I grew up on a farm so I’ve always been surrounded by them. I love taking care of and playing with animals to make sure they get their much-needed playtime I am always available to watch and care for your fur babies. I would make sure they get plenty of time to play and be outside or go for walks if they don’t have a yard of their own. Making sure they’re fed and have water and get plenty of snuggles to keep them company through the day I work part time and have school at nights but still have time to check in with your fur babies! I prefer not to stay overnight but can give frequent visits to make sure your pet gets the time and attention they need! I will double check all information with you before the visit and keep you updated to any and all things happening with your pets while you are away to help you stay worry free

About: I learned everything I know about pet-care at the vet I worked with many years ago. There my love and passion for animal…especially dogs… grew. It was also there that I learned cats are not my favorite. 🥴 Though I learned a lot from my time working at the vet, I realized that seeing animals suffering or in pain was not something I could do on a daily basis. That realization led me to this job. In my spare time I enjoy my community at Life.Church. Service there has taught me the importance of consistency and reliability. I was recently given a new mental diagnosis, and having my community, my family and my therapist surround me with love and support has been life-changing for me. I would love to get to know you and your furry family members! Because this is my full-time job, I have open availability, and would love to help with scheduled or drop-in visits. Please just leave written instructions that I can recall later, as your pup will not be my only furry client I will need to care for. I have loved dogs ever since I can remember. While I do enjoy my work as a house sitter, watching and caring for dogs is what brings me the most purpose. I have experience with big and little dogs, so whether you have a golden retriever or a Shih Tzu, rest assured, they will be well taken care of.

“Mandy did great under challenging circumstances. This was our first time using a sitter since getting the dog from the Humane Society a year ago, and the dog took us by surprise with stranger anxiety - not wanting to be touched or approached and urine accidents. I take the blame - In hindsight I should have arranged trial stay(s) many months in advance of our weeklong trip, not just a meet and greet a week in advance. Mandy handled it well. She persevered despite the accidents and communicated candidly with me about how the dog was reacting and problem-solved with me. She figured out how to let the dog out without approaching it, and kept both the dog and cat fed and watered, though walks were not possible. She even came to let the dog out over lunch on weekdays, which was above and beyond our original agreement. The cat loved Mandy - I thought the cat would be the one wary of strangers, and she let Mandy pet her by mid-week. Mandy was very tidy and conscientious and left the house in great condition. She even set out my bait when ants started coming in. Huge appreciation to Mandy.”
