About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with an orange tabby cat who taught me the basics of daily pet care from a young age. In high school, my family adopted a snorkie, and I’ve helped care for him for the past 12 years—everything from daily walks and playtime to grooming and giving medications. I’ve also had my own cat for the past seven years, and through his renal issues I’ve become very familiar with the early signs of urinary blockages, bladder stones, and the importance of special diet management. Because of this, I’m extremely attentive to subtle behavior changes and comfortable supporting pets with chronic or sensitive medical needs. I treat every pet like family, and I’m committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate care. I am a medical student who spends several hours a day studying, making my schedule perfect for house sitting and using study breaks to take dogs on walks. I have class every week day from 8-12 so I can do anytime after that. Unfortunately, I am unable to do Thursdays due to long lecture and lab times. When your pet is with me, they’re treated like my own. I’m really big on keeping things safe, calm, and consistent so your pet can settle in and feel comfortable. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and any little changes—especially since I’m used to managing my own cat’s medical needs. I’m super reliable and I always follow instructions exactly how you give them. You’ll get plenty of updates and photos so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. Whether it’s sticking to a schedule, handling special diets, or just giving them extra love and attention, I make sure your pet is safe, happy, and well-cared for the entire time.

About: Dogs are the light of my life, truly.✨There is no other creature that brings so much pure joy than a dog of any kind. I’ve always had dogs in my life, since early childhood. I love being able to speak with someone with no words. Nothing that a dog can do would ever cause me frustration, especially as they age. Dogs allow me a brand of patience that I have for no one else. Having been surrounded by dogs my entire life I fully grasp their cycle of existence. I am very familiar with the full spectrum of care for dogs of all ages. I recently lost the dog of my lifetime and that is actually what brought me to Kansas and what has me seeking this work. I am a very compassionate, attentive and loving caregiver. Getting your pup a little extra exercise while you’re at work, or spending the night with them whilst calming their nerves, when you jet out of town, would be my pleasure. I am a trustworthy, honest and kind human that would love your pup as my own. I also have an open schedule, flexibility and can pivot easily for last minute accommodations, Think of me! Sadly, I currently am without a pet, I just relocated to Wichita from Austin Texas after the passing of my dog, Tallboy, She was a stunningly, elegant and charming red nosed Pitiful. I miss our routine and schedule of care for her. I currently have a wide open schedule and I am ready to dote on all the pup personalities that Wichita has to offer. I can’t wait to meet everyone. I’ve honestly not ever done this particular type of work with animals. But I would imagine that the animals’ needs would come before my own. And that everything would be prioritized as so. Depending on their humans’ requests I plan to go by their playbook and have the best time caring for all of these sweet creatures.

“Mandy did great under challenging circumstances. This was our first time using a sitter since getting the dog from the Humane Society a year ago, and the dog took us by surprise with stranger anxiety - not wanting to be touched or approached and urine accidents. I take the blame - In hindsight I should have arranged trial stay(s) many months in advance of our weeklong trip, not just a meet and greet a week in advance. Mandy handled it well. She persevered despite the accidents and communicated candidly with me about how the dog was reacting and problem-solved with me. She figured out how to let the dog out without approaching it, and kept both the dog and cat fed and watered, though walks were not possible. She even came to let the dog out over lunch on weekdays, which was above and beyond our original agreement. The cat loved Mandy - I thought the cat would be the one wary of strangers, and she let Mandy pet her by mid-week. Mandy was very tidy and conscientious and left the house in great condition. She even set out my bait when ants started coming in. Huge appreciation to Mandy.”
