People say they love animals, but not everyone truly does! I believe Kimberly truly loves animals. I feel she treated my puppies like they were hers. I am fairly new to leaving my girls with a sitter, Kimberly put my mind at ease. She sent a lot of updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. I will have Kimberly watch Thelma and Louise anytime I need a sitter again.

Jerrie was a lifesaver, and the best sitter for my puppy. Her home is the perfect place for a dog with enough outdoor space to run around. Don't leave your dog at a kennel, call Jerrie.

Our pup had a great time at Kevin's house! He has a big fenced area where the dogs can run around and has trails around his property. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog there, as they are part of the family and can even sleep in his bed. We got lots of pictures and updates. Our dog loves chasing the ball, and they did lots of that! I would 100% recommend Kevin and am happy to have found a place for Argus when we are on vacation! Thanks Kevin and partner!!

Alexis took amazing care of my dog! The day-to-day at her property is extremely enriching, and she kept my herding breed dog feeling fulfilled. She sends multiple photos and updates throughout the day, and in each of them, my dog looks so happy. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and understands the precautions needed for my dog, who is not dog-friendly and only takes one booking at a time, which I find extremely responsible and gives me peace of mind. She bathed my dog before we picked her up, and I had such great peace of mind knowing not only that my dog was well cared for, but she was having a vacation of her own. I have very high pet care standards, and Alexis went above and beyond.

Highly recommend. They have a beautiful home with a nice, spacious backyard. Marianne and Josh are kind and have a lot of experience with dogs. With two sweet dogs of their own, my dog had built in companions while I was away. They are warm, welcoming, and sent lots of cute/funny pics & updates. Your dogs will be loved open arms. So grateful my dog could spend the holiday with such a thoughtful, warm, and fun family! Thank you so much for loving Chai!

We received daily updates and pictures of Chewy which we really appreciated. Keep was also very responsive to questions, and promptly communicated, which put our minds at ease. Chewy looked brushed, and even smelled good when picked her up. Overall experience was so much better than boarding her at a kennel!

Absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond to keep my puppy for a 4-day weekend! So nice, very knowledgeable about dogs and proper care, and sent me pictures every day of them on walks and hanging out together. She goes in depth with talking to you about keeping up with your schedules/routines you’ve set at your home along with making sure all vaccines, flea/tick, etc are up to date (which I really appreciated). My puppy is super shy of people at first but he warmed up to her so quickly (dogs know dog people!!) I will definitely have her keep him again, full trust!

About: I have been a veterinary assistant for about 2 years and love animal science. Eventually, I want to become a veterinarian- but for now I have my Bachelor's in Arts and Science from UW tacoma. I have 3 friendly dogs and a fenced-in yard. My dogs are kennel- trained and understand that sometimes other dog friends need space before being playful. I am a stay-at-home mom of one child and two friendly dogs. I am home almost everyday and able to care for your pet hourly if needed. My yard is huge, grassy and fully/securely fenced. Your dog can interact with mine or you can request to keep them separate, as I can accommodate that as well. My dogs spend most of their time in my fenced-backyard. They have space to run and trees for shade. They all like to take turns chewing on bones I give them, lay in the sunshine, play tug-o-war with the rope toy. Dogs are crate trained so if your dog needs attention separately I can accommodate easily.

Pamela was a dream! She loved our Aurora instantly and she was so well received by her other two small dogs she owns. My dog played every moment of the day at Pamela's Puppy Play Palace! She sent us regular updates of pictures and videos. It was clear she loved our dog like her own. Pamela has plenty of time for care and concern for our dog during the week with multiple walks and extra special love. Pamela was very conscientious about all our doggy needs and asked a lot of care questions. We are so thankful for her and will be using her again and again. Highly recommend!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Rochester home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
