“Michael was a wonderful sitter for our Billie Jean. He is a great communicator who cared about keeping her both safe AND happy. She had a wonderful time. I highly recommend!!”

About: Hey there! I have been pet sitting for about 8 years. Everything from farm animals, to snakes, rats, cats and dogs, I've taken care of before. Animals are a big part of my life and I know how it is to worry about them while you're away. I'll give you peace of mind so you can enjoy your time off. Rover is my main gig so nearly all of time is available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins and overnights. Like everyone else I do have other things going on and decline requests when I have the occasional conflict. A tmy gouse we treat pets with the respect close family deserves. When I visit your home, your pets will receive the same care and affection. Iunderstand the importance of a comfortable home, so wI always do my best to leave your home better than when I arrived.

“Marianne and her husband clearly love dogs and have so much love and attention to give, which my pooch received. They took him al kinds of fun places around town, and gave him plenty of snuggles. They even included him in a bday treat for their doodle! Easy going, clear communication and they provided lots of photos. We knew our boy was having a blast while we were gone!”

“Dale had such a great weekend socializing and playing with all of the dogs. Kat provides a safe place for the dogs to stay and plenty of space for them to exercise and play! She sent videos throughout our stay and updates on how Dale was doing. It put our minds at ease while we were away knowing he was happy and well taken care of.”

“This was our first time booking with Amanda and we are so glad we found her!! It was so comforting knowing Buoy was staying somewhere where she was able to make herself one of the family and lounge comfortably and play with their family dog! Pictures and messages sent by Amanda were also appreciated :) Will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Cale did a wonderful job taking care of my pup! He sent daily updates and pictures, and my pup looked so happy playing with the other pups. I’m always nervous leaving my dog with a new sitter, but I quickly felt at ease after meeting Cale. Very kind and responds quickly, and he remembered all the details about my dog. I will definitely book again.”

“Jennifer and her family took great care of Barney. It was so nice to get so many photo updates each day. It was also nice for Barney to have other dogs to play with! I’m sure we will be back.”

“Tiffany is the best! It was our dog’s first night away from us and she was really nervous but Tiffany made her right at home. I felt very comfortable leaving Ellie with her and I will definitely be coming back!”

“Jordyn was great with our pets. She gave our dog medicine daily and lots of loves. He got sore paws and she even soaked them! Our two cats were very shy and she worked with them every day to try and make them more comfortable. She gave multiple updates through the day and was very easy to work with. We will definitely be using her again.”

“I needed pet sitter for a trip out of the country. James was a wonderful pick to watch my dog for a week where she got top notch attention and care. Really appreciated the pictures and videoed he sent while out of town. My girl got to play in his giant backyard and the other dogs got along well so overall a very positive experience and I highly recommend James.”

“Lauren and Dalton took great care of Triton. They were very friendly, responded to me quickly, and sent pictures every day to show me he was having fun with his new friends. I would definitely recommend them, and they'll be my first choice next time I'm in need of a dog sitter.”

“Our worried whippets had a wonderful first stay with Margaret! Our girls usually don't eat much/if at all when staying with a dog sitter because they get separation anxiety being away from their family but they ate with Margaret which told me everything. Our girls were happy, safe, and comfortable. Margaret's other dog Mochi was a sweet heart too who was patient with our nervous pups. One of our dogs is scared of any dog bigger than her but Mochi gave her space and was gentle during our meet and greet. The pictures I received showed me how relaxed the pups were, which is exactly what they needed. We have definitely found a go-to dog sitter :).”

“We had a great experience! Pick up and drop off were easy and convenient, and Colin communicated well throughout the stay. It made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I would happily book with him again!”

“Yang and her family were wonderful to our dog, Xiaolong, while we were away for a few days. We know Yang will be the first Rover we contact the next time we are away and need a loving home away from home for our dog.”

“Our chihuahua Teak had a great 3 night stay at Jamie's this month. It was the first stay and Jamie was a great and conscientious host to him. Good communication, a daily picture of Teak helped us relax about his stay. Thanks Jamie.”

About: I have a mastiff pupper that is 6 years old who is a big cuddly baby. He is a male named Apollo. I grew up with animals and I have a love for them. I will treat your fur babies as my own. They will get a lot of love and attention and exercise. My dog plays well with other dogs but Apollo can be a little iffy when it comes to big males since he is not fixed! So a meet and greet is a must! I also can keep them separated if need be! If your doggo or mine needs some relaxing time or time to themselves I can have them be separated! My dog loves playing with new friends who love to play or relax! I’m a stay at home mom. So I have a lot of time to give your pup lots of love and attention! My dog and sons would love to play with your pup! I have a fenced yard for your pup to play out in with my dog and to also use the bathroom! I have a huge crate too just incase your pup needs some time by themselves or mine does! I can also separate them in the house or outside if they want to be away from my dog!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Helsing Junction home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Helsing Junction.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Helsing Junction sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
