“People say they love animals, but not everyone truly does! I believe Kimberly truly loves animals. I feel she treated my puppies like they were hers. I am fairly new to leaving my girls with a sitter, Kimberly put my mind at ease. She sent a lot of updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. I will have Kimberly watch Thelma and Louise anytime I need a sitter again.”

“Angela and her family are such a dog-loving and caring bunch! Echo is so lucky to be with them. Our sincere thanks to Angela, who took pictures and videos of their interaction with Echo! Elaine, Andy and Echo”

“David was great with my emotionally needy pup and clearly understood dog dynamics. Seeing Delta and another dog snuggle up together was not something I had expected to see pictures of, but she seemed to do well when left with a stranger for a week.”

“Jerrie sent photos and updates everyday. She was so kind and thoughtful in her communications all throughout the pre-booking and three week long boarding experience. We've never left our dog so long and were comforted to know he was in good hands. He came home happy and tired out.”

“Kat is fantastic! Regular updates for our pup, lots and lots of playtime. The sprinklers came out on hot days. It was like summer camp. Her care made us feel very relaxed about leaving our puppy with her. We will definitely be using her again.”

“The dogs had another great stay with Kevin! They have so much fun on his property. He was very communicative and provided some great pics and videos. We appreciate his care!”

“Annmarie did a fantastic job taking care of our 3 month old fur baby!. Her communication while watching our fur baby was great and we appreciated receiving pictures of her playing and getting all the cuddles. We will absolutly book Annmarie for any future dog sitter needs and highly recomend her!!.”

“Alexis does a fantastic job of taking care of our Abbey. Walks, treats and fun! We can have a wonderful trip without having to worry about our sweet girl while she is with Alexis.”

About: I am new to Rover, but have worked in the Animal Health Industry as a Veterinarian Technician (animal nurse) and outside sales/customer service for the past 30+ years. Along with the background check Rover provides, I also have a Business License and I am Insured/Bonded. Animal care is my only business/job. I have experience with most animals from reptiles to cattle and currently have a little 5 acre hobby farm with a horse, goats, chickens, dog and cat. I am very flexible with days you need pet care. My days are filled with animal care of my own/yours, walking/hiking, gardening and home/property projects. Your pets will be treated with great care while spending time with me. I have a gated 5 acre hobby farm with 1/2 acre fully fenced area around my home. My farm animals are fenced in separately for safety. I also have 3 acres of wooded trails/not fenced for leash walking. I am able to provide care and exercise depending on your pets needs and will only accept dogs that are not aggressive towards people or other dogs for a positive/fun experience. There are two large porches for either sunning or shade. I also have air conditioning. Please be up to date on vaccinations (including kennel cough), worming and monthly flea control. I live in a quiet/peaceful valley. Please no excessive barkers and bring their food, treats and special toys. I have 3 giant wire crates/bedding for night sleeping and only take up to 3 dogs at a time. If you have a well trained dog that would be happy sleeping in a dog bed at night, I can be accommodating. Must have been crate trained at some point in their life. Waking up in the am to an intact couch is nice! 😊 Otherwise will be spending time with me in my home and on the property. Please allow enough time for a 1st time meet and greet prior to finalizing the booking. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family!
“Desiree does a wonderful job caring for our German Shepherd and our cats. We have had her come cat sit multiple times and recently had our dog stay with her for a few nights. We appreciate the care, attention, and time she spent with our cats during drop in visits and love the bonus love they get from her daughter. The photo updates are always appreciated and our animals look comfortable and happy. We trust her and look forward to them caring for our pets in the future.”
“Our two pups just completed their first stay with Deidre and we couldn’t be happier on the care they received and the communication she had with us. We hope that she will have the availability to care from them in the near future but anticipate that she will grow in popularity due to her 1st class service!”

“Jennifer and her family had such a welcoming space for our golden retriever Toast! There was a lot of communication and pictures sent, not to mention her dogs were great companions for ours. Definitely plan to have Toast stay with Jennifer again if we’re ever back in the area!”

“Momo was relaxed when we picked him up, which is not his normal mode outside of our family. Andrew and Mariah were very communicative and professional. Very much appreciate them!”

“Daisy was well taken care of, had lots of play time, and adventures! Marianne was a fantastic communicator - we appreciated all the pictures and videos of Daisy during her extended stay. She had a little ear infection and they administered all her medications. We would definitely rebook!”

“Leanne’s level of care is exquisite. Her skills with a dog with leash aggression, and love of food was navigated beautifully. Her heart was immediately recognized by both me and my sweet dog. ARWEN felt immediately at home and got toys out of the toy box, drank water and jumped on the couch to be near Leanne. Erin is quite the couch potato, but Leanne got her out on walks every day, introduced her to the neighborhood, horses, and cats( (at a safe distance.) she sent wonderful photos and updates and I felt completely at ease to enjoy my international travel without concern for my dogs’s well-being. It was actually very hard for them to part ways. Very sweet connection. I would recommend Leanne for any of your precious dog’s needs.”

“Soon is my go to sitter, if I want my pups to be spoiled! Soon and her family are amazing sitters! I highly recommend her. She is great with sending pictures and regular updates. A+ service and my pups left well cared for and happy!”

“Austin has been a great help, doing drop in visits daily and playing with my pups- giving them lots of love and attention while we are away on a trip! Highly recommend him!”

“Emily was very communicative, even through the last minute notice and some challenging weather. It was a comfort to know our cat was well cared for in our absence.”

“Angela and her whole family were very involved in taking care of my two cats. From drop off to pick up I felt safe leaving my pets with them. Angela provided me with lots of updates including pictures and videos of how they were doing, even if it was just a cute moment they shared. I would highly recommend her for your next pet sitting need!”

“Carter was a great house and cat sitter. He left our house just as clean if not cleaner than when we left. He stripped the bedding and bathroom and kitchen towels, washed them and left them folded. We got great kitty updates each day with pictures. Just an overall friendly guy and took great care of our kitties. We look forward to booking Carter again!”

“Ruby was very kind and responsive the entire time we communicated. She brought up safety precautions during our meet & greet and was overall excellent to work with. My cat Jula was well taken care of by Ruby and I will definitely be rebooking in the future”

“My husband and I had planned and booked a 2 week bucket list trip to Peru and were set to leave in 7 weeks. We had arranged our normal pet sitter that we’ve used for years to come and take care of our (almost) 15 year old cat, Mr. Christmas. It was around that time that Mr. Christmas stopped eating. Mr. Christmas had no real health conditions, no meds…and he was declining fast. After extensive testing, imaging, and seeing a specialist, he was diagnosed with either IBD or cancer and was going to need a lot of follow up. He was on multiple oral medications and he still wasn’t eating great. I couldn’t leave him in the house with someone who can only come see him once a day. He needed more support and our normal pet sitter couldn’t provide that for him. I was fully prepared to cancel the trip, but thought I’d go on Rover to see if anyone could match what we were looking for and if anyone would be willing to do what we were asking. We needed three, hour-long visits daily, forcing food at him, weighing him, and administering multiple daily medications. I found Melanie explaining what I was looking for, and I was really impressed that she was up early at 4:30am to message me. Melanie communicated with me each week leading up to our trip. We initially didn’t have a diagnosis and I needed vet clearance to leave him. Melanie asked many questions, and when we finally were told that he was stable enough to leave, she came over to our house with a list of questions to go over with us. He’s got a bit…a lot…of an attitude. She made sure that she didn’t approach him and waited for him to come to her. She was so thoughtful about every detail of their interaction in front of us. My husband and I both felt that even though she is a stranger to us, there was something calming about her and she was very professional. We knew Mr. Christmas would be okay, but I wasn’t expecting him to thrive the way that he did. Melanie never missed a visit. She never asked for anything from me. She communicated with me daily throughout the two weeks. She braved picking him up to put him on the scale multiple times. Mr. Christmas gained weight with Melanie. He wasn’t gaining weight with me at home, but she is just that good. Pictures of Mr. Christmas started with him sleeping alone, and then he got closer and closer to her on the couch. He even started inviting her to watch him in the litter box (I’m mortified), but he only does this with “his people”. Our dog came to visit at home a few days to see Mr. Christmas (they are besties), and Melanie had no problem cuddling our dog while visiting Mr. Christmas. To describe Melanie in one or two words, I would say she is easygoing and pays great attention to detail. She makes everything seem easy and carefree, and my anxiety really appreciated that on this trip. I got home from 15 days away from him, and he is this thick ball of fluffy happiness. He was WELL taken care of. We could have never gone on this trip without Melanie. She is a true gem and I will be referring anyone and everyone I know to her. Love, Ben, Jen, Mr. Christmas, and “his dog” Ruby.”

“Becky is amazing with our pets! We have a very shy older cat, and she had him out playing with the other 2 cats no problem! She's an excellent communicator and very thoughtful.”

About: As someone who deeply understands and appreciates the unique personalities of cats, I believe they deserve care that’s as thoughtful and intuitive as they are. To me, cats are family intelligent, emotional, and full of character. I offer reliable, gentle, and trustworthy care that respects their space while providing companionship and comfort. Whether your cat prefers quiet lap time or just a familiar presence nearby, I tailor my care to meet their individual needs and routines. With me, your feline friend will feel safe, loved, and completely at ease in your absence.

“Mary is a wonderful pet sitter! She took excellent care of my sweet, shy kitty for the whole nearly 3 weeks I was away and even took pictures of Cassidy-cat at every visit. She also made sure my tank of shrimp and snails were fed and the water level stayed good! I would absolutely choose to have Mary come look after my pet fam again the next time I go on vacation. She rocks!”

“Alexis was amazing! She worked with my odd hours and sent me great updates! She had an awesome system for the cats and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Would definitely recommend.”

About: Some of my earliest memories were fur baby family members. I lived in households with black and brown lab's, Shar Pei's, Yorkie's, Chihuahua, and multiple cats. At 5 years old I wanted a cat so bad that I hid one in the car. My mom noticed the cat on the drive home. After discussing it with the original owner it was discovered that he did need a new home and that is how Smokie joined the household. At 8 years old, I got permission for my second cat Speckles. I was allowed to help bottle feed him before he was able to come home with me. He lived to the age of 19. My schedule is very open and flexible, I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies. Wednesday mornings I go visit my grandma, I am free during the afternoon after visiting her. I will be caring for your pets in your home. I'm available for drop in care, check-in's, pet sitting, house sitting, and overnight care. I do have mobility limitations, I walk with the assistance of a cane and therefore am unable to offer pet walking services at this time. I have a service animal, my small dog Leroy. He gets along very well with cats and dogs of all sizes.

“This was our first time with a new pet sitter here in WA and it was really lovely to get home and find all our babies restful and relaxed. She took care of all their needs (we have 4 senior babies) and even checked off the list I left for her! She updated me with texts too which was really nice. Thank you Ronda!”

“We had a really great experience! Jett & Denver were well taken care of, and it was obvious they were happy. We got tons of updates and pictures, which we really appreciated. They were also super accommodating to our pets’ needs, which made everything so much easier. Will definitely book again!”

About: I have been a veterinary assistant for about 2 years and love animal science. Eventually, I want to become a veterinarian- but for now I have my Bachelor's in Arts and Science from UW tacoma. I have 3 friendly dogs and a fenced-in yard. My dogs are kennel- trained and understand that sometimes other dog friends need space before being playful. I am a stay-at-home mom of one child and two friendly dogs. I am home almost everyday and able to care for your pet hourly if needed. My yard is huge, grassy and fully/securely fenced. Your dog can interact with mine or you can request to keep them separate, as I can accommodate that as well. My dogs spend most of their time in my fenced-backyard. They have space to run and trees for shade. They all like to take turns chewing on bones I give them, lay in the sunshine, play tug-o-war with the rope toy. Dogs are crate trained so if your dog needs attention separately I can accommodate easily.

“Outstanding and fun care. Great communication and I picked up a happy, tired pup. Excellent fenced yard and shade for 'galloping' and rest. Sitter's dog and mine were compatible. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended.”

“Tucker was excited to spend the day at dog camp. He leaped out of the car. Tucker came home extremely happy. Tucker has more of a bounce in his step. Thank you for making our dog’s week. Great place to leave your dog”

“Caitlin has been amazing with Nai’a! Though Nai’a is an anxious pup, she liked Caitlin instantly when we met the first time. Since then Nai’a has stayed over at Caitlin’s a few times and once Caitlin watched her at our house. One of the biggest challenges with Nai’a is that she runs away from her sitters. But, with Caitlin it’s finally been working out well and I feel so relieved to have found a regular sitter! Caitlin sends photos regularly and Nai’a seems to have fun at her house with her pups. Also, she is really sweet and flexible. Thanks so much for everything Caitlin!”

“I usually would not leave my pet with someone I have not met, but when another sitter canceled on short notice, Desiree went the extra mile to accommodate us. Her friendly, prompt and clear communications assured us that he would be in good hands. She sent photos and updates through the day. Our Aussie was asleep in the car within minutes of pick up, which means he played hard all day. He will be excited to return!”

This summer I'm home in Olympia taking a college course, so my days are flexible and my focus is simple — hitting the books and spoiling some fur babies! “This was my first time my one year-old Australian terrier was using daycare or being boarded. Both he and I love Allison and her lab. The dogs got along very well because her pup is so sweet. He was very tolerant of a speedy short dog zooming around him. Allie made me feel extremely comfortable with leaving him.”

“I really appreciate Darby's stance on dominance upon arrival, she deals with no bull! And I felt my pup was secure during her daily visits at Darbys home, with walks and suitable interaction with other pups at her home, I had no complaints. My pup was fed her meals as requested and Darby went the extent to clean the containers I brougjt homemade meals in for feeding, so I hadnt needed to worry about that after a long day! I respect Darby's stance even if off stanish to start.”
“Jennifer is outstanding with my AJ! He has so much fun with all the other Holdens that get to also attend her great care. She and her family are a permanent fixture with us from now on 😊”

“Fantastic, willing to work with uncertain pick up & drop off times . Willing to go out of her way to do a meet & great before dropping her off the following day . My dog was comfortable with her house was perfect and secure”

“Thank you Austin for your patience with Jax and me. . Jax really struggles with new people. Apparently, humans are scary. We will schedule you again in the future. 😊”

About: Animal lover here! I take very good care of dogs of all kinds as demonstrated by my volunteer and pet sitting experience. I have volunteered at shelters with scared dogs large and small, fostered and trained shelter puppies, was a babysitter for puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and served client families as a professional pet sitter. My role for others' fur babies is to provide care so that they have their needs met in their parents' absence. I am a great surrogate parent! I like to keep dog routines continued to minimize stress on pets and their people. For parents that don't have the time or for dogs that can use additional exercise, I can take dogs out for walks. I have also been a cat mom of 4 at once and love cats too! I have my dog, Brodie, and my routine revolves around him. I make sure he gets the memtal and physical stimulation and exercise he needs to be healthy and happy. I want to help my clients and pets with this as well for their families. I have a fenced yard and very dog-friendly set up at home. At client's homes, I respect the space and help pets feel secure in their routines with attention and care.
“Madisyn has been taking care of our dog Leo for several months. As witnessed from the photos she sends, he LOVES her! I come home to a contented and happy pet! Madisyn is also very respectful of our house and leaves it as she found it. We will continue entrusting Leo's care with her for months to come!”

About: As an experienced dog sitter, I go beyond basic care by truly understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I have a natural ability to read their body language and adapt to their moods, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medications, following specific dietary plans, or providing enriching playtime and walks, I tailor my approach to each dog’s routine. My calm and attentive demeanor helps even the most anxious dogs feel at ease, and I maintain clear communication with pet owners for peace of mind. Having cared for my own senior Pomeranian, Zeus, until he was 14, I am particularly attuned to the special needs of older dogs, including administering medications and adjusting routines for their comfort. I currently have an year and a half year old Yellow Labrador Retriever named cooper, so well experienced with puppies I’m currently home full-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pets lots of attention throughout the day. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, long walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication, or just extra cuddles and companionship, I’m able to be there consistently. I love getting outside for walks and making sure dogs stay mentally and physically happy while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal like they’re my own and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and needs. I’m experienced with dogs of different ages, energy levels, and temperaments, including senior dogs and puppies. I always keep a close eye during walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm environment.
“Alright... where to begin! Brian did a wonderful meet and greet with my boys (two newfoundlands) and walked them today without me..that may seem like a strange thing to say but Byron (my younger boy) refuses to go on a walk for anyone but me - not even my husband! He was perfectly fine on going on the walk with Sinjin (my older boy) and Brian. No temper tantrums, no refusal to walk. NONE of it. Brian took them on a good walk, they had fun and their were no problems.”

“Ruby was absolutely wonderful! She walked Duke all week and was a great communicator throughout. She kept us updated every day, was reliable, and clearly cared for him like he was her own. We felt so at ease knowing Duke was in such good hands. Highly recommend her!”

About: Hi! I work as a Paraeducator at a school, so I have summers off and I can’t think of a better way to spend that time than caring for dogs! I’ve always been an animal lover, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pup needs playtime, snuggles, walks, or just a calm and caring presence while you’re away, I’m here to help! ☺️ My schedule is pretty open during the Summer besides spending every other weekend with friends and family. Once I go back to work in September, I will only be able to house sit as long as it is in reasonable distance from my workplace. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely whether that’s feeding schedules, walk times, medication, or favorite toys and treats. I know every pet is different, so I pay attention to their personality and comfort level, whether they’re energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed. I will also make sure to keep the home clean and secure while you’re away. I’ll give updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. My goal is always to treat your home and your pet with the same respect and love I would want for my own.

About: With over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I offer calm, full-time attention in a quiet home with a large yard and a peaceful resident dog. I’m confident administering medications, as I regularly care for my own pets' health needs. I understand the unique needs of both senior pets and spirited cats, and I’m happy to provide gentle walks, playtime, and lots of affection. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. I am currently home all day and available for walks and love. For walks and home visits Tuesday - Friday I am available on a twice daily basis. Sat, Sun, and Monday I am available any time. While I don't offer pet care in my home at this time, I may in the future. We live in a bright spacious apartment near Briggs YMCA
“Veronica has been amazing!! She was available very last minute (the day before) when I needed someone to walk my newly adopted dog. She’s been an amazing communicator, willing to do the little things like wipe my dogs paws after a walk or use the same command words that I use for my dogs. The photos of her walks are an extra touch that warms my heart. Would definitely recommend Veronica for your animal needs.”

“Fellow Rover Parents, when in need call Amanda! A last minute drop out by a dog care person put me in a bind. Amanda stepped up and took on Chidi and Ellie for an extended weekend visit. The puppies returned home well fed and cared for, along with some needed and appreciated dog training! Good home environment for my puppies was much appreciated, along with walks and run around time. Highly recommend Amanda for your fur babies! John-”

“Took great care of our pup, took her hiking, and were great at proving daily updates and expressing any concerns. we will happily reach out in the future when we need further boarding assistance!”
“James took amazing care of our dog Arlo over an extended weekend. James sent photos and a video. We could tell that Arlo was having a great time playing and running around with the other dogs. We felt comfortable knowing he was in a safe and comfortable home setting. We will definitely use James again in the future!”

“Darby took wonderful care of my puppy when I had to go on a 3-day trip. He had a good time, and I feel good knowing I can book with someone caring and trustworthy when I need to travel in the future.”
“Jamie was great! She was communicative, responsive, and my dog was so happy and so tuckered out after such a fun weekend when I picked her up. Truly cannot recommend highly enough.”

“Margaret recently watched our pup Reece and was fantastic!! Reece is a special pup and needs extra care due to his diabetes. He takes insulin 2x daily and although Margaret hadn't done so before, she was open to learning the process and took great care of Reece. He was happy & healthy the duration of his visit (6 days) and we received many updates. We found a great dogsitter in Margaret!!”
