“Lyndsey overshot all my expectations. She took such good care of our senior dog. She sent pictures and the run-down of her day including her medication administration. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

“Azure is amazing. I am very grateful she took great care of my big baby while my family and I were out of town. Azure was very helpful, kind, and very communicative throughout Bears stay with her. 10/10 experience”

“Cory was very kind and made me feel so comfortable with leaving my pupper (Roko) with him. The communication was 100%, great amount of space for Roko to run off his energy and play, and just awesome understanding and care for him. I will be rebooking for the next time we have a family trip because my Roko felt so loved and comfortable and happy here.”

“If you were to imagine the couple you’d want to watch your family pet its Alex and Jaycee. They are very professional, clean home, great communication, and evident pet lovers!”

“An even better 2nd booking experience. Nan and her family and little Henry are really good to my baby boy. She is really a Nana to him. She even knew to take him for a walk to help him use up his excess energy, which I thought was awesome. He is SUPER energetic. I highly recommend and Kai and I are now official return clients!”

“Theo loved staying with Alicia. She sent lots of pictures of him playing & going on walks, and was great at keeping in touch to let me know my pupper was having a good time! I will definitely use her again! 🐶💙”

“Again, Archie had so much fun at Emily's! Even though it was a quick one night stay, he still came home worn out from playing. She sent me the cutest pics of him playing with another dog she was watching. I love that he goes there and gets to play and feel at home.”

“Millie was EXCELLENT with our sweet pup! She provided plenty of pictures and updates everyday. She was super patient when our baby didn’t want to eat. She was very responsive to our messages, was ready for us when we dropped her off and had her all packed up when we picked her up. Would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again in the future! This is definitely a safe and loving place for your fur babies!”

“We had a great experience with Amber. She was always quick to answer and flexible with our schedule to drop off/pick up. She kept us updated with pictures of Ginger and was very kind. Her dog Tater and Ginger had a great time together! We would definitely recommend her.”

“Rose did a wonderful job watching our Ember! She stayed with her for 5 days while we were out of town, sent lots of pictures, and kept me updated. When we met prior to Ember’s stay, I could see her love of dogs in her manner of communicating with Ember. Rose strikes me as one of those people that just has a special connection and understanding of dogs that goes beyond what normal people see. She also has dogs of her own so I was happy Ember had some friends to play with! I will happily entrust her to watch Ember again for our future travels. Thank you so much Rose! ?”
“Christine did a fantastic job with my dogos they were happy and joyful. The pictures she sent throughout the time ahead had them where great . Im glad my dogs had fun and I would definitely return to her in the future.”

“We can’t say enough good things about Makayla! She accommodated us from beginning to end. She was so prompt to reply and extremely thoughtful with pictures while we were away. We feel so lucky to have found her ☺️”

“Taylor took great care of our 7 year old Aussie. He got comfort and exercise. Taylor is a true dog lover. Unfortunately she is an hour away from us BUT worth it and close to the Indiana lake that we visit.”

“I definitely recommend Kayla, she took care of my labrador puppy Arya for 4 nights. When I brought Arya she did not walk with her leash because she did not want to and when I went to look for her Kayla had taught her. Kayla take care of her with a lot of love, teach her new things, trained Arya and help her share with other dogs and cats. I am very satisfied and happy to be able to entrust the care of my baby Arya to such a committed person. Arya was really happy and have a great time, Kayla even give her new toys!!”

“Lauren and her family were great with Walter. She has a clean place, which puts comfort in my head. The other dogs and fenced in yard to make sure he had a place to get rid of his endless energy was a big deal. She had nothing but good things to say and was very easy to stay in contact with by sending pics and updates. We appreciate her business. ?”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Roanoke Station
They were amazing with my boys. Our flight got delayed and we weren’t able to pick up until nearly midnight, but they stayed up so we could get them as soon as we got back. Got regular pictures, updates, and know they were well taken care of. Only reason for 4 stars, not 5… not a non-smoking home as it says on the profile. My boys smelled awful when I picked them up.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Roanoke Station home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Roanoke Station.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Roanoke Station sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
