“Alison was wonderful! We met ahead of time so she could meet my pups and learn how to navigate using Mickey’s wheelchair prior to her first drop-in visit with them. Alison sent plenty of pictures and kept me updated during her visits, which was great. My pups enjoyed their walks and cuddles with her!”

About: 11+ years of personal experience with cats and dogs and also grew up with both cats and dogs in home. Now live in a super comfortable house in Lake Oswego with 1 dog, 1 cat and 2 kids under five. I work full time from home so am flexible with when I can visit or board a pet. Plenty of time to walk your animal or spend time with them while we hang inside. I have 2 large patios for lounging and live on a quiet street, which is perfect for taking a long walk. Love spending time and cuddling with animals.

“Whitney is incredible! She dropped in to walk our two dogs twice a day while we were out of town. She was very thorough with her check ins and I felt great leaving them in her hands. Would highly recommend Whitney!”

“Camille was wonderful! She was communicative, on time, & attentive to my puppy. I loved the updates & photos. Camille made me feel at ease that my puppy was taken care of while I was away. Highly recommend Camille :)”

“This is our third time that Aileen is helping us out with watching our kitties and she was great, as usual! I appreciated the very thorough and informative reports she sends every check in and she always follows the instructions we leave perfectly.”

“Sydney was amazing!! We went out of town for a week and having Sydney checking in on our cats and sending daily updates and pictures gave us such peace of mind knowing they were well looked after. Our cats were kept entertained and happy with playtime and cuddles. Couldn’t recommend more to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy sitter! Thank you so much!”

“Angela is AMAZING. She's always willing to come by - even if she is already in her pajama. Literally, no matter how comfortable or happy she is doing what she's doing, she'll drop it to ensure you can keep doing something that is making you happy. On top of that, my dogs LOVE her. They are visibly happier and less rowdy every time she stops in. USE HER! ”

“Roger was very responsive and took great care of my little dachshund. They were very patient with my dog, and my dog even opened up to them from the jump which can be rare. Very attentive to detail and the care guide. Would definitely recommend!”

“We had to book a last minute sitter and Kathryn did not disappoint. Even our cat who is scared of everyone came out to say hello to Kathryn! Kathryn was kind, great with communication and made sure the experience was as easy as can be. Would definitely have Kathryn watch our pets again.”

About: I used to work at a Humane Society and I own 3 big dogs myself! I come to you with 5+ yrs of vet professional experience, as well as currently being an employee at a specialty vet in the area! I'm currently working full time at a small local vet clinic in Tualatin and I'd love to be more involved in the animal care game and in touch with the community. I have full availability on my days off, but am open to walks/drop-ins after work! Pets deserve their space and to be cared for on their own terms. I want every pet to feel loved and safe in my care. Let me walk your fur babies!

“Imani is wonderful and takes great care during drop-in visits. She spent time with each of our cats and made sure they were fully taken care of. I highly recommend her! Thank you, Imani!”

About: Hi I'm Kenzee! I live in Happy Valley, OR and I love hanging out with animals! I'd love to care for your pet if you’d let me! I have a quite a few years of pet and house sitting experience and have watched 3+ dogs at a time. I've been taking care of my own pets since I can even remember! I also am a certified Pet Care Specialist Lead at PetSmart PetHotel and Doggy Daycare, where I watch & work with up at 16 dogs at a time per play room! I am a very energetic and hard working individual. I am very responsible and am able to care for multiple dogs at a time. I am also able to care for any cats or other pets you may have. Thanks for trusting me with your furry friends!

About: I really don't what sets me apart from other sitters. I've had pets all my life. I've only just started dogsitting for neighbors about 2ish years ago and so far they like me. I'm currently unemployed so pet care fits perfectly well into my daily and or weekly routine. It's a good way to earn some money in between job searching. I can easily follow instructions if you have a pet who has a more strict schedule or I'm pretty chill if your pet does not need lots of care.

About: Dogs have been part of my family since before I was housebroken. I’ve always endeavored to give them their best life, and to be worthy of their love and loyalty. Cats came a bit later for me, in my 20’s, but I have become an enthusiastic cat servant. I currently have two senior cats- ages 13 and 21, adopted in 2018.. They were traumatized before I adopted them and were very slow to adapt to their new home, even though it was peaceful and safe. Patience and persistence paid off, and now they are thriving as pampered, indoor older kitties. I have done drop-in visits and walks for friends’ pets, volunteered for the SW Washington Humane Society, and am currently walking and doing drop-in visits for a local pet care company. I am a hiker and backpacker, and can walk fairly long distances, and at a good clip with dogs that like or need that. I’m also happy to stroll along at a leisurely pace, allowing for quality sniff time. It is for the dog, after all. I’ve owned chickens, ducks, reptiles, guinea pigs, small rodents and sea monkeys. The sea monkeys were not a success story, but the rest were. I know that some pets are a bit (or a lot) more wary of a new person than others, and strive to keep them as comfortable as possible. I am reliable and have decent communication skills. I'm also a bit of a worrier, always trying to anticipate problems before they happen. Pet care and some volunteer work are most of what I do now, so I have a lot of availablity, especially if you book in advance. I am currently only offering drop-in visits and walking. I treat clients' homes with care, taking my shoes off at the door and leaving everything as I found it (or better). When walking dogs, I seek out shade on hot days and I'm mindful of the temperature of the ground surface. I carry water and a clean bowl on each walk during warm weather, and offer water based on the dog's apparent need. I am certified in Dog and Cat First Aid through the American Red Cross.

About: Providing pets with specialized individual care and love has been a big part of my life. I grew up with two German Shepards and spent much of my childhood caring for them as part of my daily chores. In middle school, I started volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society as a requirement for school, and I consider my time walking dogs, cleaning cat rooms, and socializing with small animals a really valuable experience. Volunteering at OHS at a young age taught me the value and importance of creating safe and welcoming spaces for pets so that they feel loved and cherished. I have always loved dogs and cats, but I also have experience in caring for small animals (guinea pigs, hamsters, rats/mice), chickens, goats and horses. So if you have one of these more unconventional pets, I would be happy to discuss my rates and plans for their care while you are away. The most important thing to me in providing care is making sure that both the pet and owner feel completely comfortable during the service, which begins even before I met your pet for the first time. I do my best to respond quickly to each and every request within a few minutes (I am most available from 10am to 10pm), but any requests sent outside of that time frame may be slower to receive a response. During house sits and drop-in visits, I will stay in regular communication with texts and photo updates. During walks, I utilize Rover cards which will let you know information about the walk like distance and pictures once the walk is finished. And I am always available on my Rover number during any service booking. Every pet is unique, and I will do everything I can to make sure that they are given the best care while under my care. Our pets are our furry children and deserve to have individualized care that fits their needs and makes them happy. I am excited to have the opportunity to provide your pet(s) with the care that they deserve, and I look forward to working with you to do that. I offer a discount for house sitting requests of 6 days or more, please inquire for more details! I recently graduated college in June from OSU but I have had little luck finding a job in my field. I currently spend much of my time job searching from home, so I have plenty of time to get to know your pets on an individual level! This makes me a great fit for pets that might have separation anxiety or don't like to spend a lot of time alone since I can do my job search from home. I currently have a 2-day advance notice for new clients since I currently split my time between the Portland-Vancouver Metro Area, the Albany/Corvallis area, and Newport. If you would like to request me without the 2-day advance notice, please reach out to me and ask if I am available. I will add a $15 late-notice fee if the request is the day before the service, and a $30 late-notice fee if the request is same day, subject to my discretion. This late-notice fee covers my travel and incidentals to your location and assures that the request is genuine. If you have any questions about this fee, please feel free to ask. Before accepting any care requests, I like to arrange a meet and greet to get to know your pet(s), their individual needs and personality, and you, their owner! All pets are cared for as if they were my own, and I will return them to your care, hopefully happier and healthier than when they were first turned over into my care. If you have any concerns, I am always available through my Rover number through text or call to answer any questions.

“I've known Tricia for over a decade and she loves animals. She's had big dogs, small dogs, foster dogs, found dogs and more than a few cats along the way. Currently Charlotte and Guillermo (cats) share her space. She's one of those people that gets on the ground so she can greet and speak dog better. She takes her health and their health seriously. Tricia was (when she lived closer) one of our trusted Emerency Contacts for our own doggos.”

June D.

“June is passionate about what they do, dedicated, and stays calm and focused when a lot is happening or things feel chaotic. A great choice for working with your pets!”

Rivergrove pet parents share their Rover experiences
Just wanted to say thank you for taking such great care of Leo while I was away. It’s always a little nerve-wracking leaving my pup behind, but I could tell he was in good hands. The updates were really reassuring, and I appreciated how attentive and communicative you were the whole time. Leo looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I got home — honestly, that means everything. I’d definitely recommend you to anyone needing a trustworthy sitter who actually gets dogs

Melissa cared for our three boy kitties while we were out of town recently. She was very reliable and timely in providing updates on her visits, but most importantly, I could tell she truly enjoys cats - even our shy boy came out and was seeking attention! Would absolutely recommend Melissa and will hire her again in the event we need a cat sitter.

I couldn’t be happier with choosing Molly to check on my cats while out of town. She provided great communication and updates, I didn’t have to worry about them with Molly around! I think my cats are ready for me to leave town again so they can see Molly again.

Cassandra did a wonderful job of taking care of our finicky kitties. She took lots of photos and left us a detailed report card each day. I know they were in good hands and she even managed our new auto wet food feeder. We will definitely reach out to her for future cat sitting.
