“Once again, Mary did a great job for us boarding our Dobby on Thanksgiving day. We contacted her on Tuesday and she was able to accommodate us. We recommend Mary for boarding and will use her services again to board Dobby.”

“Victoria is great with our dogs. It is so nice to know that our dogs are happy and well cared for at her home when we are out of town. We will continue to book with Victoria in the future!”

“Ximena always does a terrific job! This time she let us know that Pugsley wasn't eating well and offered him some special food, after checking with us. That was all it took to get him to eat like her dogs and he came home happy and well fed! We always trust that Pugsley will get great care!”

“My doggie had the BEST time! They texted, sent pictures, and kept me updated! They were so chill and just absolutely amazing! Seriously won’t leave my pup with anyone else!”

About: I ran a prison dog rescue and training program. We rehabilitated dogs from puppy mills, rescue groups and shelters. We also did grooming services for the dogs. I'm retired. My schedule is wide open. I have time to devote to taking care of customers pets. I have always had a affinity for taking care of animals. I live in a Townhouse in a nice area with plenty of green space. I enjoy walking dogs who come to my house or walking them from their house.
“We are frequent flyers and our sitters moved to CA so we had to find another great sitter for our two babies Marshmallow and Bubble. We are super excited to find Amanda. She took a great care of our dogs. The communication with her was very efficient and she was quick to respond. She also sent us photos of our dogs. We did not worry about our dogs at all. I highly recommend Amanda for your dogs.”

“Jennifer was amazing! From beginning to end, she was updating us with pictures and letting us know how our dog was doing. I would recommend booking with her any time!”

“Dani did a fantastic job with our pup Winnie! Our original sitter cancelled on the day of our trip and Dani saved the day for us! We had good communication and pictures while we gone and Winnie came back a happy and tired dog. Wi highly recommend Dani and we would use her again without hesitation.”

“Nicole is the BEST! Sent tons of pictures and gave multiple updates throughout our babies’ stay with her. Nicole was communicative & accommodating and we will be booking with her again!!”

“Stephanie was one of the best dog sitters I’ve ever had. Communication was great on updates and sent a bunch of pictures. Loved she had other dogs there for playing and socializing experiences. Will definitely use again!”

“Haley was an outstanding host and our pup had the best time! She even made the dogs a Thanksgiving meal (dog-friendly of course) for the holiday. This truly was a 5-star experience.”

“Erin did a great job taking care of my puppy for the weekend! When I went to drop Lottie off she brought her dog down so that they could meet on neutral territory, which was really nice and during the weekend she text me updates and pics every day. I liked that she only took one pet at a time in addition to hers, that made me feel much safer leaving my puppy there. I would definitely recommend and use her services again!”

“Our 8 month old puppy Ollie stayed with Morgan while we were out of town for 5 days. It was Ollie's first time boarding somewhere and we could not have chosen anyone better! Morgan sent us multiple photos while we were gone and asked us questions when needed. Her little dog Finn was the cutest and is super easy going and friendly. We were so glad we chose Morgan and Finn, and will definitely choose them again if we need to board Ollie in the future.”

“Nicole is amazing—she’s incredibly kind and gentle. During our greeting before the first overnight stay, she gave both dogs plenty of time to get to know each other. Nicole has trained Cora very well, and at the first meeting she carefully observed the interaction between the dogs and rewarded them appropriately. She’s a Rover with a lot of experience in dog training. She also shared lots of photos with me!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Riggs home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Riggs.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Riggs sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
