About: I’ve lived with and have cared for both dogs and cats since I was little, and currently have 1 dog at home. I have experience handling leash reactive dogs, and have learned from trainers on how to handle situations while out walking. I am currently in between jobs so I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to walk dogs. I can walk dogs anywhere from 9 a.m up to 3 p.m. I have a fully fenced yard that overlooks a babbling creek. There is plenty of room to run around outside and play ball. When caring for dogs i make sure there is lots of play time with different toys and games that stimulate a dogs brain as well as lots of cozy space for a dog rest.

I am a total animal lover and have lots of time throughout the day to take your pup on walks, play fetch, and let them run around our spacious back yard. I now currently have a Mini Australian Shepherd who loves to play with other dogs. I am a part time teacher, so I am free after 12:30 M-F and weekends. For the months of June and July I am available any time during the day/night. Anytime I let pets out in the yard I will be out there with them to ensure they are safe and not getting out of the yard. We have a fairly large, fenced in flat back yard which is perfect for running around or playing fetch. I take my pup on two walks per day, one in the morning and the other shortly before dinner time (that is flexible for whether your dog needs more or less than that). My dog, Cooper, is a 4 year old old energetic and lovable Mini Australian Shepherd mix. He loves to play, but also loves his nap times throughout the day. He gets along with all dogs.

About: I grew up with dogs, starting at the age of seven! I have learned so much in those years about how to responsibly care for dogs, while making them feel comfortable and loved. One of our family dogs was diagnosed with diabetes, so I am very comfortable giving insulin if that is something you need. After almost 18 years of living with dogs, I've also become comfortable giving eye drops, pills, etc. Aside from dogs, I have had hamsters and guinea pigs and was responsible for the entirety of their care. I also worked for an exotic veterinarian for 1 year. While I did not work with dogs but this position, it increased my confidence when it comes to working with animals in general. I now have my own dog, Remi. He has been a challenge but so wonderful. I feel confident working with very high energy dogs as I now have so much experience with one! He has inspired me to learn as much as I can about dog behavior and body language. I feel confident in support dogs and offering affection, as well as respecting their boundaries. If your dog is friendly and I am taking them for a walk, I’d love to bring my guy along but it’s not necessary! I am currently available every day of the week except Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you have need on those days, I may be able to work in the later afternoon/ early evening! I will give lots of attention! I understand that people use rover when they have to be gone for an extended period of time. So I feel it is important to make sure that I am giving your dog as much attention and love as possible. About: I've cared for dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, frogs, parakeets, hamsters, fish and turtles. I volunteered with Guide Dogs for the Blind as a puppy raiser and learned a lot about positive dog training from that experience. I can administer meds (pills, inhaled steroids, subcutaneous fluids) and carry out routine grooming tasks. I have had 4 dogs and 5 cats over my adult years but currently have no pets. I am recently retired and walk about 3-5 miles/day. Miss walking with a dog. I love cats and miss having one around. I am retired and walk 3-5 miles a day so I can easily fit pet care into my weekly routine and I miss walking with a dog. I am very responsible and will follow your instructions and treat your pets (and home if house sitting) with the same care as I would my own.
