Jennifer was able to work with my long hour work schedule and picked up right away when I texted. That’s a big thing for me cause my hours are difficult to find someone. She kept me updated as well and took good care of my baby.

About: I have hands‑on experience caring for both cats and dogs with a wide range of personalities, routines, and needs. My approach is calm, observant, and patient — I let each pet set the pace and make sure they feel safe and comfortable from the moment I arrive. For cats, I’m especially familiar with senior care, mobility challenges, and monitoring litter box habits. I’m comfortable supporting shy or anxious cats, administering oral medications, and keeping a clean, low‑stress environment. I also have light medical experience specifically with cats like giving prescription injections and giving subcutaneous fluids when needed and directed by a vet. For dogs, I’m experienced with structured routines, leash handling, feeding schedules, and reading body language to keep walks and visits smooth and positive. I’m attentive to energy levels, comfort cues, and any changes in behavior. I have an enclosed backyard for outside time if they like, and a great walking path in the neighborhood for walks. I’m reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to giving every pet the same level of care and respect I give my own. You’ll receive clear updates, honest communication, and photos so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. Whether your pet is playful, independent, senior, or needs a little extra support, I’m here to provide steady, worry‑free care tailored to their needs. I am very flexible when it comes to scheduling. I can be available for full time or part time, one time or several. Just talk to me about my availability I provide calm, attentive, and safety‑focused care whether I’m visiting your home or welcoming your pet into mine. My goal is always to create a predictable, low‑stress environment where your pet feels secure and understood. In your home: I follow your routines exactly as you describe them, feeding schedules, walking routes, litter box setup, household rules, and any special instructions. I keep doors and gates secured, double‑check that pets can’t slip out, and maintain a clean environment throughout each visit. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and comfort so I can spot changes early and communicate them to you. For cats: I move slowly, respect boundaries, and let them approach on their terms. I’m experienced with senior cats, mobility challenges, and monitoring litter box habits. I keep their space tidy, refresh water and food carefully, and maintain a calm atmosphere that helps shy or anxious cats feel safe. For dogs: I use steady, confident leash handling, stick to familiar walking routes, and avoid overstimulation. I watch body language closely, support positive behavior, and make sure they get the right balance of exercise, structure, and comfort. Safety is always the priority, secure harnesses, controlled entrances/exits, and mindful interactions. Communication & trust: You’ll receive clear updates, honest notes, and photos every visit, so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every pet with the same care and respect I give my own, and I work to make each visit predictable, safe, and worry‑free.

About: I have had a dog since I was born. I started caring for my dog by the age of five. Then, I did overnights with a diabetic dog, with whom I had to administer medicine. Now, I have two dogs of my own who are very special. I currently work from home, so pet care fits in seamlessly with my routine. I also have a fenced-in yard, so potty breaks can be taken frequently. I am very attentive with care for pets in my home, and I’m my clients home. I always ensure there is fresh food and water. I make sure they have toys or chew toys to keep them occupied. I am always available to take time to play, and go on potty breaks.

About: I've cared for pets my entire life - from 3 cats growing up, to currently owning 2 dogs. I've also walked dogs professionally and managed a doggy daycare center. I firmly believe pets are full-fledged members of the family and I treat them with the associated attention and care. It's my mission to provide the safest and most enjoyable place to leave your dog/dogs when you're in need of day care or boarding! I'm available to supervise all day and completely flexible to the needs of your pet! Your doggos will have full access to a shaded yard designed from the ground up specifically for dogs! Meet and greet and pick up/drop off times are between 3pm-6pm 7 days per week. Pick up/drop off times can be more flexible if necessary. Areas available to the doggies can be seen on photos 26 through 30! Must be provided by client: Dog food and treats Dog collar Dog leash Dog harness Daily activity included with your purchase: Supervised free reign of shade and rain covered backyard (see profile photos). 2 meals per day unless otherwise specified (food and treats must be provided by client as to avoid stomach upset) NOTE: If no food, or not enough food is provided, I will happily feed your dog what I feed my dogs, however I am not responsible for any digestive issues that may result. Note: In the event of a potty accident, I do use dog diapers from that point going forward. Diapers are always freshly washed for your dog. Lots of petting, toys, and play! Note: Dogs enjoy unlimited water access, however, are cut off before bedtime, usually around 7pm-8pm. Individual dog crate with a bed for sleeping. I have large and extra-large crates dedicated to clients' dogs. NOTE: I always recommend supplying a blanket, sweater or something with familiar scents to your dog for the sake of their acclimation and comfort during their stay. 1 photo update (around 2pm) of your happy fur baby per day! If more frequent photos are desired, please don't hesitate to ask! Photo update includes a picture and any relevant information about your dog's health and wellness (are they eating/drinking normally, did they get a cut on their foot during play and how did I treat it, etc.). Disclaimers: It is required that your pup/pups be on flea/tick medication at the time of boarding/daycare. In the event of a health emergency, there are animal hospitals close to me, however they have conventional hours of operation. As a result, outside conventional hours, I would be required to take a trip to Chico, CA where there is a 24-hour animal hospital. NOTE: An emergency contact is required. Tips are always welcome but never expected. If you feel I provided satisfactory service, a positive review is greatly appreciated!

Teagan was great! She was able to pick my baby up (since I work so early) making is easier on me and Yecca. She kept me informed. Yecca had plenty of attention and was able to roam outside. I felt completely comfortable leaving her with Teagan for the day and plan to use her many more times. You can tell she is a genuine person and caring which is the main thing I look for.

As we traveled outside our area, Lorrie stepped in, last minute, to take care of our precious little terriers who needed secure puppy-sitting for our granddaughter’s wedding. Her property is perfect with rural large, fenced areas for dogs to run & have fun. She has plenty of room inside her home for the dogs to freely find their spot to rest. The little ones sit next to her as she works providing a secure time out. She clearly had full control of the active young large dogs under her care and our little dogs, understanding their individual needs. Our little ones, though young as well, did great in the dog pack, learned how to be a dog, and dog pack rules! When we picked them up they were happy, a little tired from all the play, ate well, and not stressed.

I am so glad we chose Kristina to watch our beloved little dog. Kristina was very attentive to our dog's every need. Kristina is very personable, flexible, and professional. Her place is a very clean, happy, and safe environment. Her two little dachshund were so cute and so well cared for that you knew right away your pet would be just fine there. Though we are definately overprotective dog parents, we felt that Kristina treated our little princess just like it was her own child. Overall, we were thrilled with the service Kristina provided and would give her the highest recommendation for your pet.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Redding commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 56 sitters in Redding, 96% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
