“I am so grateful to have found Chris and Tommie to care for and play with my shih tzu and corgi. My pups have a blast there and come home looking fit and well cared for. What makes this home special is the playtime with both other dogs and with the owners who treat them like family.”

“Myra took great care of my fur baby! It was out 1st time using Rover and we were very pleased. Our sweet Kane was so happy to make new friends. We look forward to future stays!”

“Duke had a wonderful time with Laura at the farm and enjoyed playing with the other doggies, animals and children. Laura kept in touch and is a wonderful sitter. Great environment for our dog!”

“Wonderful and accommodating when a problem with another sitter arose while I was out of state. They took great care of my pet and assured me he was doing fine so I could go about my weekend without worry.”

“Brett and Stephanie took such good care of our senior pup Ginger! She is partially deaf and blind so we were worried about leaving her. They sent pictures daily and were so loving and caring with her. We’d definitely recommend them and will use them again soon! Thank you both so much!!”

“This was my first time using this service for my fur baby and our first time out of town without him. I was worried in the beginning and requested for photos to help ease my mind. Mary was great! She took such great care of my puppy while I was out of town. She was caring, reliable, and pretty much kept me updated throughout the rest of his stay. It was clear that she genuinely loves animals and treated my pup like one of her own. I truly appreciate everything she did and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter. Thank you again!”

“First time using Rover boarding and Derek was amazing. He was fast at replying to my questions. Very good communication, sent pictures, and loved on my Luna as if she was his own. I definitely will be using him again and again and again.”

“Melissa & Dustin were so nice. It was a pleasure meeting them. I felt extremely comfortable leaving my dog Pickles with them. Melissa communicated daily and sent tons of pictures!! Pickles had a blast playing with her other dogs and soaked up all of the love affection he received from Melissa & Dustin.”

“Madeline was amazing with our French bulldog!! Sincerely a 10/10. She sent lots of pictures, and updated us throughout the week! We were super nervous since this was our first time on Rover but would highly recommend her. Next time we leave we will check in with her first. Thanks Madeline!!”

“I was so scared to find a pet sitter for my fur baby because he is a spoiled baby and he is really not sociable so he comes off as aggressive. I found Lori and she was absolutely amazing!!! She was so gentle with him and in no time Jax was following her around taking naps in her lap lol . She sent me picture and video updates throughout his entire stay which made me feel even more comfortable with Jax in care. I will most definitely be booking Lori the next time I need a sitter! ❤️”
“Our dog loved staying in the home of Rebecca and Stephen. We received regular communication and the entire time we were away I was confident that our furry family member was well cared for. I will definitely book boarding with them again.”

“My family and I are repeat customers. We really enjoy the pics and video Alison sends. Our pup looks happy and super content in each photo! Thanks, Alison! We appreciate you taking good care of our Zoey girl!”

“I’ve never left my dog before so I was a little anxious, but he took such good care of her and even sent me updates with pictures which helped put me at ease while I was on leave”

“I was able to book with Josef last minute, without hesitation she was so eager to meet my 2 girls and got us booked quickly. Price was right! She also kept us updated with messages and pictures. My girls had a blast with Josef. I felt confident leaving my girls with her. 10/10 recommended!!!”

“Would highly recommend Nicole! I didn’t worry about my dog while I was away. Nicole is very easy to communicate with and very kind. Will definitely use her for any future dog sitting needs.”

“Maceson was absolutely a gem. I had multiple schedule changes (to an embarrassing degree), and he just flowed with the changes. He was very gracious. The most important part is that, after meeting him, I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog in his care. She raised her paw to thank him as they parted when I picked her up. I will definitely call upon Maceson in the future.”

“Rachel is fantastic. I got multiple pictures a day of my dog and on everyone he was happy and well. She went above and beyond my expectations. I definitely recommend her and I will always choose her”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Red Banks home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Red Banks.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Red Banks sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
