About: I have taken care of dogs, ranging from pitbull mixes to mini schnauzers. I love dogs of all sizes, both for at home stays and just for checking in every few hours for some food, playtime, and company. I also have many years of experience with taking care of cats, whether they are shy and want nothing to do with me, or are very active play friends. I have cleaned up messes and comforted animals during thunderstorms. I have about seven years of experience. I am currently in my final semester of college and only go to class on Mondays and Wednesdays. The rest of my days are free for any and all pet care! I am comfortable staying overnight and checking in with them as many times as I need to throughout the day. I have stayed in client's homes before and have always left it cleaner than they left it. About: I’ve been dog sitting/boarding for years! I work with both dogs, and cats at my current full time job. I am also getting educated to become a vet tech in the near future! About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I could walk. I have never had a time in my life where I have not had at least one dog. I currently have a 5 year old pit mix. I just lost my 15 year old girl. I trained them both from 8 week puppies. So I have extensive experience with puppies and seniors. I am skilled at giving medication and can work with anxious or reactive or hyperactive dogs. I have also had cats and am familiar with their unique personalities! I work from home so my schedule is fairly flexible. I can work from wherever there is WiFi so as long as your house has WiFi I can be there as much as you require! I will take care of your home in addition to your fur baby. “Austin is a life saver. We have two dogs, one who is very nervous and protective and even had a biting incident. This made it very difficult for us to go on vacations since finding a sitter would be difficult. We reached out to Austin, explained the situation, and asked if he could come by every couple of weeks for the dog to get used to him, and he said he'd be happy to help us. The plan worked and, after several visits, we were able to go on a five day vacation! Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
