“Darylee and her family were wonderful! She sent pictures to update us on how Dash was doing. It brought us much joy/peace knowing that Dash was in great hands and having a great time running around in their large fenced-in back yard and playing with the goats. :)”

“100% would recommend. For someone who takes their dog everywhere and always has anxiety about leaving my pup, Leigh and her family made me feel at ease being away. She is great with sending updates(without having to ask) and responding quickly. She is very much so true dog lover, even letting my over bearing bug sleep in bed with them. Also my dog is talented at escaping/running out the door but he was kept safe the whole time. Over all amazing experience and I will definitely be a repeat client!”
“Cecelia was such an amazing care taker for our Lily. We got daily video updates with Lily relaxed and having a good time with her. Highly recommend and I will be using her again. Thank you, Cecilia!”

“Sarah and her daughter were wonderful!!!!! They kept us updated with pictures of our baby. She seemed happy and at ease in the pictures. We highly recommend Sarah and will refer people.”

“Having the peace of mind knowing our sensitive pup Sophie was in kind and patient hands is invaluable. Thank you, Cori and Chris for taking such good care of our girl. 🐶”

“Matt and Kathryn are absolutely wonderful with our dogs. Never, in all our years of being pet owners, have we taken a vacation without our animals. But we just got back from a week abroad without any concerns for our pups because we knew they were in the very best care. Our dogs miss Matt and Kathryn and their dogs when they go too long between visits. It's so cute to see them get excited when we arrive. Can't recommend them enough.”

“Kevin was just the person I needed to take care of my dog while I was working out of town and my family wasn’t home to watch my dog. He has the perfect set up to keep any size dog fed, safe, and well taken care of and he has the room for a handful of dogs too! He and his kids took the time to take my dog out for walks. I will definitely reach out to him when in need again. Thanks Kevin!”

“Tatyanah and Everardo watched our dog Nova for five nights and took such wonderful care of her. They are so friendly and you can tell right away they love dogs. It was such a relief to know she was being loved and well cared for while we were on vacation. They have a spacious yard, and Nova especially enjoyed playing with their two dogs—she bonded quickly with Jojo! They took her on plenty of walks and kept us updated with lots of videos and pictures, which we really appreciated. We would absolutely love for them to watch her again next time we need a dog sitter!”

“Doug and Marisol are amazing! They sent updates daily and seemed to genuinely care about Warby and made him part of the family for a week while I was out of town. He came back happy and healthy.”

About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. We have raised our girls with many pets including: chickens, bunnies, several foster and adopted dogs, and rescuing cats that would have been euthanized to live on our farm. We have 1 acre of fully fenced yard in a cozy community. We recently had to put down our sweet pit bull and are looking to opening up our homes to care for others pets at this time. We have a lot of love to give and would appreciate your consideration. I work from home so I am available all day and night excluding of course picking up kids and family activities. We have 4 daughters, 2 of which have graduated high school and in college, 1 going into high school and a 9 year old. They have all had extensive experience with many animals and been involved with agriculture in their middle and high schools. We presently have 2 cats (one of which is fully outdoor and one that comes in at night to sleep). We understand that many individuals have cats that are fully indoor and we have ample space, beds and furniture for your cat to feel comfortable. We are also BIG dog people and missing our sweet pit bull. We have a great neighborhood for taking walks, a 1 acre fully fenced yard for running and playing in. We will keep all cats indoors at all times. We will have any animals that stay with us in our home at night and have dogs go out frequently to play.
“Caleb watched our dog for 14 days when I was on an overseas trip and he was very flexible and understanding when I needed to extend my trip at the last minute. That was a huge relief and much appreciated! Our dog had lots of fun at his house and came home tired, which is always nice, ha.”

“Hank spent a couple weeks with Taylor and Andrew and had a great time! It was pretty obvious from the pics and messages Taylor sent, that things went well and Hank made himself quite at home!! We will definitely be back, in fact, Hank already has his next trip reserved! Thank you Taylor and Andrew from me and Hank!!”

“May and her sweet, little dog Pepper are so wonderful and kind!! They are the only ones I entrust my dear fur-baby to, when I have to travel for business. She is “2nd Mommy.” ❤️👏🏻 Thank you, May!”

“Gordon loves going to stay with Michelle, Steve and Daisy! Michelle is a pup expert and we feel really comfortable leaving Gordon in her care. Thank you!”

“Jenny was a fabulous sitter for my dog Skar - I was going to Chicago on business for 5 days and she made her feel so much at home and sent me regular updates and videos and pics each day . Skar also loved playing with Jenny’s dog . Would recommend Jenny anytime to watch your dog or puppy .”

“Margaret did an amazing job caring for my dog, hiro, while i was away for a few days. My Akita can be a little tricky to care for, but she read Hiro very well and easily accomodated to his needs. You can tell she really cares for her pets. Great communication, reliable, and loved the photo/video updates. Hiro came home happy and tired from playing with his new buddy Toffee 💕”

“Marta and her kids are such great dog family! My dog had great experiences staying with them. Marta sent me pictures everyday which makes me feel so happy seeing my dog playing well. I’d love to send my dog back there without any hesitation!”

“Erica was amazing with my pups! We received pics and updates throughout their stay. My pups were well taken care of and comfy with Erica and her family. Thank you for taking care of my dogs on short notice too ❤️❤️❤️”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ramona
If I could leave 10 stars for Leigh, I would! Oh my goodness, I sure found someone who loves and cares for my pup as much as I do! I was lucky enough to find someone who would let her sleep in their bed, play endless hours of catch, enjoy pupsicles, bonfires, and receive so much love and kisses! My little pup was pampered and spoiled on her pet stay with Leigh and her husband. Words cannot explain the relief I felt knowing my little girl was having fun and given all the same treatment she does at home. We were able to relax and enjoy our long vacation with our grandkids with no worries at all. Leigh, thank you for sending us the cutest photos each and every day to let us know how much fun she was having. She is excited for her next sleepover at your house. I think she is missing you already!

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
