“Audra was great with Kobe. She kept me updated for his weekend stay with her and family. He got along with her doggies which was very important to me. I would definitely recommend her and have my buddy stay with her again :)”

“Nicole ROCKS! Leaving your furry family while you’re away is never easy, but Nicole made our getaway so enjoyable because she was sending us pics and videos and updates the entire time. Our doggies were so loved and well cared for while in Nicole’s care and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She’s fabulous and really loves the pets she’s caring for. I will absolutely be requesting Nicole for future stays. 100% great experience.”

“Taryn took great care of our German Shepherd while we were out of the country for a week. She sent updates and pictures, so we were able to relax and enjoy our trip knowing our pup was in great hands! She was very patient with him and his high energy puppy shenanigans. Taryn is a wonderful sitter and we highly recommend her!”

“Elyssa did such an amazing job with my Honey. I appreciate all the love and TLC she received when under her care. She has such a cute and friendly dog Mack that Honey enjoyed playing with. Thank you!!”

About: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone who will care for them like family. I have experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels—from playful puppies to sweet senior pups who just want a slower-paced walk and extra cuddles. All my family members and friends rely on me when they are needing their dog to be in safe hands. My goal is to make your pet feel at home and give you peace of mind while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your four-legged family member! I currently work part-time, which means I'm home for most of the day and have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, potty breaks, or just relaxing together, your pup will have lots of love, companionship, and care throughout their stay. Your pet will be staying in a loving home with two friendly indoor dogs—one is a sweet senior, and the other is a playful four-year-old. They have free roam of the house and plenty of cozy beds for naps throughout the day. I also have a fully fenced backyard where your dog can safely explore and play. All potty breaks are supervised, and your pup will never feel alone—they'll always have me and my two dogs around for company, companionship, and lots of love.
“Derek watched my dog Ace for 3 days while I was away for the weekend. He was completely patient with him and tended to his every need. This was my first time leaving Ace with anyone so I was very nervous, but Derek updated me evey day and sent me pictures and videos. I would definitely use Derek again in the future. 10/10!!!!”

“As a newly adopted rescue, this was Cooper's first time away from home. Jennifer and her family welcomed Cooper with open arms. Jennifer was fantastic! She took great care of our Cooper, as if Cooper was another member of the family. I highly recommend her!!!”

“Amazing! Victoria is very sweet and my dog loved her. He was very happy in her care and I couldn’t have asked for better! Anywhere else we have taken our dog, he would cry, whine, get sick, etc. Not with Victoria! He was very happy.”

“Barney and Obi had a great time! Jennifer made sure my 12 year old dog Barney have his space and let Obi the 11month puppy run around all he want. Jennifer and the children even took Obi on walks everyday and even went on an adventure in Woodward park. When Obi came back home he was so tired that he couldn't open his eyes! Usually the 11month pup has so much energy that I have to always play with him but that night he slept like an angel:) I would give 10 stars to Jennifer and her family. Thank you so much! :)”
“Vincente and his wife were awesome! I had a last minute trip out of town and messaged him only a couple days ahead and he gladly answered yes. Vincente kept me updated everyday with photos and messages. I know having a stranger watch your dog can be terrifying but Vincente and his wife are both amazing peopleAnd have knowledge about dog behavior/training. They both were willing to accommodate for my dog and even got her to get along with their dog. Highly recommend and I will be bringing Kali back here whenever I am out of town.”

“Kadyn was a fantastic caretaker for my pup. I felt very comfortable leaving him with her. She regularly updated me with photos and he seems to have had a wonderful time. Thank you, Kadyn!”

“Ricky was great with my dog Niko. She kept me updated on how he was doing and sent photos. I felt very comfortable leaving him with her. She was friendly and I would highly recommend her. Will use her services again.”
“We were nervous leaving our dog with someone we didn't know (and at the last minute). Davisha and Donald responded to our request right away and took great care of our older dog. They even trimmed his nails! I would definitely use them again for dog sitting!”
“Absolutely satisfied with the care and how elizabeth always made sure to keep me updated while caring for my dog. I highly recommend her and will definitely be asking for her service again.”

“This was our second time with Scott, our furry baby loves him so much!! Scott takes such good care of him!! Excellent job, will continue to use his services again!! Thank you so much”

I currently have dogs of my own, and caring for them is part of my everyday life. I have experience with dogs of all ages, including senior dogs. I can give them plenty of love and attention, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and treated like part of the family. Taking care of animals is second nature to me. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Raisin City home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Raisin City.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Raisin City sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
