“Was able to accommodate a last minute request. My dog was calm and nothing was amiss (medical needs dog). Great communication! 2nd time I’ve used Audra and will continue to use for further boarding stays :-)”

“Jocelyn was great with Arlo. He tends to be a little shy and quiet with new people but he made himself at home with her and her family right away. She checked with me before feeding him a treat to make sure it was ok that he had it and sent me cute pictures to show me he was doing good. As long as she’s available I will make sure to rebook her because I know he will be safe and loved. So happy we found her 😊🐾”

“Elyssa did a great job caring for our Yorkshire Terrier Tucker. He got along great with their dog and young kids. She sent lots of pictures and text. You could tell he was well taken care of. I highly recommend her and will definitely keep going with her in the future.”

“Super happy that we found Nicole to watch our dog! She is a great communicator and sent lots of photos during the stay. Our dog can be a little nervous but loved her and her pups. We will definitely book her to dog sit again!”

“We are thankful to Jennifer for taking good care of our boy while we were out of town for work. We received quick communication and good availability from Jennifer. Throughout the stay, we received picture updates and quick communication as well. At his return, our energetic pup was healthy, tired, and a happy boy! We didn't have any issues with our multiple day stay with Jennifer. She really gets to know your pet and understands their needs.”

“Rex had such a fun time with MJ during his first stay, I booked him again for a weekend stay while I headed out of town. MJ was great like last time, very professional and trustworthy. His yard gives Rex (and other dogs) a great opportunity to run around and stretch his legs or just lay in the shade of the large trees. MJ has been very reliable and I highly recommend for dog (large or small). Thanks MJ!”

“Jennifer is amazing and treats your pet like a member of the family! She loves and understands dogs. I know my Cooper is loved and well cared for when she is with Jennifer. I highly recommend her!”

“So glad we found Victoria! During the meet and greet we knew our pup will be in loving hands and company (along with her lovely pup Jasmine). She was on top of our pup's needs and communicated well. Will definitely use her services again!”

“Highly recommend Vicente to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter for your furbaby. We’re so grateful to Vicente -and his wife (power team)- for taking such great care of our big, sweet boy. It was clear from the start that they genuinely care and enjoy dog sitting. The regular photo updates and knowing our fur baby was in kind and capable hands made all the difference on our 6-night trip.”

About: Ive always been an animal lover who has treated animals as their own. They have feelings, they’re no different than us and deserve all the love in the world I have a normal 7-4 work day. I’m usually always looking for walks after work and I’m home no later than 4:15pm. Playing with my own pets makes me so happy and that’s what I look forward to every day I care for them extremely well. I’m kind of an anal person so the cleanliness of it all has to be 10/10. I clean daily, multiple times a day and make sure their foods and waters are always fresh
“Eric was amazing with my golden retriever puppy. He sent daily updates on how she was doing and I could tell she was in very good hands. I would definitely board my dog with him again.”

“Briana took care of our three month old poodle and pug. She was great with them, she gave them baths (when needed), played with them and kept me posted daily on them. I would use her again and recommend her to anyone who is wanting the best care for their babies.”

“Kelly took care of my sweet boy for 3 days while I was away on a trip. She is very nice and easy to talk to, keeps you fully updated with pictures and videos of your fur baby. My dog does have some nerves in new places, but her warmed right up to her and her home! I would definitely recommend Kelly to anyone who needs this service and would use her again myself.”

“Kendra was just amazing!! She has a great house that has so much space. She sent me videos and pictures everyday. Riley (my dog) made so many friends! I was so comfortable leaving my boy with her and she showed him so much love! She has been the best sitter I’ve had!! I highly recommend and will use her again!”

About: I’ve had furbabies of every size and breeds since I was a child. Horses, dogs, cats and other large mammals. Never met an animal that doesn’t love me. The feelings are mutual. I am retired, and love fur babies to keep me company and help me stay active. I do require animals be vaccinated and spade/neutered. Not taking cats due to allergies. I have a fenced yard, room to roam, a small furbaby of my own. Furbabies can be crated or sleep where they choose. Always indoor at night.
“Kathy and her daughter were wonderful! My dog was very happy when I picked her up so I know she was well cared for while I was away. I will definitely rebook with Kathy m. the next time I am in the area. Thank you for taking such good care of my dog. 😊”

“Amy boarded my two dogs for a week. She is an excellent sitter. She provided several updates and pictures each day, took the dogs on evening walks and made sure that they were comfortable in a new environment. The dogs also got along well with her dog Bingo. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Will definitely rebook with Amy. She is an amazing sitter.”

“I am greatful for Olivia. She was very sweet to interact with as a client and she was even more kinder to Goldie ! She’s patient and understanding and quick to try to solve a problem if an issue shall present itself. I’d love to use her services again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Raisin home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Raisin.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Raisin sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
