About: I’ve been handling animals ever since I was 13, this includes cats, dogs, and even bunnies! (I had one that I let free roam). Cats and Bigger dogs are always a personal favorite but I truly love animals and even considered going into veterinary sciences! I can assure you, your animal is in great hands seeing as I have a cat and two dogs myself! I’m a current part-time nursing student who uses this as a sort of side job on top of my normal job that i work at full time (30hrs a week), but i still have a lot of time to care for critters of any kind! Whenever I’m at my Aunt and Uncles for up to a week dog sitting and house sitting for them, I make sure to feed both of their dogs and let them out at least every 1-2 hours especially after feeding them, and they stay outside for about 30mins-1 hour, but i don’t mind walking animals at all either! And of course I like to cuddle up with animals if they allow me too and give them play time as well as a little down time to cuddle up and be content!

About: I'm a dependable, caring pet sitter who understands that every dog and cat has their own unique personality and routine. I grew up with dogs and have been a dog owner myself for the past 8 years, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I take the time to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their families are away. Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a specific feeding schedule, I treat every pet with the same care and attention I'd give my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind by providing reliable, compassionate care and keeping you updated along the way. Around here, tail wags and happy purrs fit right into my daily routine! I genuinely love spending time with animals, so caring for pets never feels like a chore. Whether we're exploring the neighborhood on a walk, playing fetch, tossing around a favorite toy, or relaxing on the couch for some cuddle time, I'm happiest when I have furry company. I love getting to know each pet's unique personality and making sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. I have a fully fenced yard, plus two sweet, friendly fur babies to keep them company if they enjoy having playmates! I'm happy to crate your pet if that's part of their normal routine or if you prefer. Every pet in my care is treated like family, with lots of love, attention, snuggles, and—if approved by you—a few well-earned treats!

About: I have grown up with animals my entire life. Caring for animals has been my life long ambition. I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your fur babies. My fiancé And I love training and exercising with them every day and they push us to be the best we can be. They bring so much joy and happiness to our life. I have 5 years experience pet sitting for friends and family as well. They are the support system that told me about this app. Work from home but it’s not very demanding. Extremely flexible schedule. Pets need routines just as much as humans do for a sense of calm and safety. To continue to keep your (our) fur baby safe I will keep trash cans covered or inside a latched cabinet. Move all chemicals to high shelves or behind secure doors. Keep cords, chargers, and other potentially harmful items out of reach.

About: Hey there! I’m Emily — I offer reliable, loving care for both dogs and cats, and I come straight to you. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, playtime, feedings, litter box scooping, or even baths, I’ve got it covered. I don’t do boarding or keep pets at my place, but I’m happy to help however I can in your home. I’ve got years of hands-on experience and also run a rescue, so I’m used to handling all kinds of animals, personalities, and needs. I treat every pet like family and always aim to make things easy, safe, and stress-free — for you and your animals. Let me know what you need! Pet care is nonstop for me — it’s what I do every single day. My routine revolves around walks, drop-ins, baths, enrichment time, and everything in between. I’m used to being on the move and keeping up with each pet’s schedule. This isn’t just a side gig — it’s a big part of my life, and I’m fully committed to giving every pet the time and attention they deserve. I provide care in my clients’ homes where pets are most comfortable and relaxed. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible — whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, or giving medication. I’m big on building trust with each animal and making sure they feel safe while their person is away. I always leave things clean, double-check food and water, and send updates so you know your pet is in good hands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 229 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Ragland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Ragland stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ragland. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
