I currently stay at home with my son and two amazing dogs! One older chocolate lab and a one year old corgi, both with very different personalities and needs! I enjoy spending time with them and loving them. I have a large yard that I am able to let the pups play in or coming by to let your pets out in the comfort of their own yard and home. My babies are inside lounging around throughout the day, but spend time playing outside as well! I am very flexible with whatever you and your pups need.
About: With over 20+ years of experience in the veterinary profession, I understand many concerns that pet parents have about leaving the care of their pets in someone else’s hands. I’m well versed in caring for dogs and cats of all age ranges. If you need someone to give your pet its medication, I’ve got you covered! If I see anything that concerns me about their health, I’ll bring that to your attention, so you can talk to your vet about that. A trusting relationship with a pet caretaker starts with good communication and attention to detail, and those are just two of my strong points. I’m committed to making sure your pets are well taken care of and doing what I can to put your mind at ease. I recently moved back to Alabama, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m available seven days a week from 7:00am-6:00pm, including holidays. How much time I can spend with your pet will be dependent on how many other appointments are scheduled on the same day, and what travel time is required. Your pet’s safety is my highest priority; therefore, I require that all dogs are leash walked, unless you have a fenced yard, and your only expectation is that they have free time in the yard. I can take care of four pets maximum per household, but if there are extenuating circumstances, we can discuss this. If your pet requires medication, all medication must be labeled and set out in an obvious location. If there are any specific instructions you have that aren’t on the label, those instructions must be written out clearly.
About: I have always had dogs as pets since I was 3 years old! I had 4 growing up and have always had at least two at a time! I have a passion for caring for pets and believe all pets should be treated like our family! I do have some experience in dog first aid and will always care for your pup as my own! I work from home full time so I am able to play with the dogs and take them on walks/hike often! I have a 3 acre yard that is tucked away and an absolute oasis for dogs! I have two dogs of my own so I am already on a potty break schedule every two hours at least! I will always treat your pet like they are my family! I do let pets on furniture if that is okay with the owner and I will follow all of your instructions very carefully. I take this job very seriously and want your pet to have the best time possible! I will do everything in my power to make sure your pet is well taken care of and happy! I often sit for multiple houses at once, doing house-stays for one client and drop-ins for 1-3 others depending on the services and times needed per client. When I meet an animal for the first time, my priority is gaining their trust. I spend time casually observing so I can take note of their personality and physical forms of communication, but I don’t get too close or move too quickly until I’ve given the animal a chance to take me in as well. Once trust is established, we can move on to wearing leashes and harness, medication routines, playing, etc.

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
