“Lesley was such a great person to trust with my puppy. Not only did she take great care of her but she also sent photos with updates and of the dogs playing and having fun. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Excellent service & care!! This was our first time not only using Rover, but having a pet sitter. I highly recommend Whitney as she cared for our pupper dog like she was her own!! Thank you so much!!”

“Ms. Kristi did an amazing job taking care of my Oscar. She communicated so well, sent frequent pictures, and made me feel completely at ease. I loved seeing how comfortable Oscar was with her, especially when he snuggled under the blanket for a nap with her. She even took him on a car ride and treated him like family. I will never use anyone else for Oscar’s future pet vacations. Highly recommend Ms. Kristi!”

“Matt was wonderful! He took great care of our sweet pup for a week & sent great updates of him. It made going on vacation so much less stressful knowing our dog was being well taken care of and was having such a fun time! Thank you so much Matt!”

“I was so worried leaving my baby with someone new, but Rebecca made my dog’s stay very enjoyable for both of us! Juno had so much fun playing with Monkey in her big backyard and seemed to really feel at home with Rebecca. Rebecca was very responsive to my check-ins and sent me multiple pictures and videos everyday. I know Juno can’t wait to go back!”

“Teri was terrific! I took my very old (17) labradoodle to Teri while I was out of the country. Teri took exceptional care of Millie....way above and beyond! Teri took such good care, my old girl had a skip in her step when I returned. Teri was kind enough to send pictures and tell us how Millie was doing...she provided a nice vacation for my dog while I was vacationing. Millie and I look forward to our next vacation! Charles”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child! From growing up with them, to helping friends and family, to fostering for shelters and rescues! I work full time, but do have allotted time to run home to let pets out/feed! My boyfriend is also a huge help to filling any gaps! I ensure all pets receive the best care! From food choice (if not provided), to toys, to play time w/ my pups (if wanted)! I provide a safe but fun environment!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs both full time and part time since I was around 14. I was the sole caregiver for my previous dog (American Staffy) for 4 years as well as pet sitting for family. I’m currently home from college and work from home, so I am able to give your pets plenty of attention and care. I’m also an active person who loves outside. I have a fenced in backyard as well as a very walkable neighborhood with ponds and trails. If needed, I also have a crate available.

“Rosco loved his time with Ronda and her family! She communicated quickly and sent pictures during his stay. She was willing to meet with me and Rosco before his stay which helped eased my nerves with boarding him for the first time. I could easily tell how much she loves dogs and having him there. She was super understanding with me extending his time there because of a work thing going late. When I picked him up, she had given him a bandana and a new toy (which he loves). I’ll definitely be using her services again to board him!”

“Amy was fantastic! She picked him up and dropped him off on time, sent pictures and videos daily, and was very kind. He had a wonderful time! Will most definitely be using her again ?”

“Ms. Brenda was able to accommodate me with a last minute booking for boarding. She was extremely sweet, caring, and friendly. My baby loved exploring in her spacious and shaded yard.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 95 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Ragland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ragland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ragland.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ragland sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
