About: Hi! My name is Cami, and I live in Fredericksburg with my husband, Cam, our daughter, and our two cats. Cam and I both work with children and love helping families, whether that means caring for their little ones or their furry family members! Over the years, family, friends, and neighbors have trusted us to walk, feed, and care for their pets while they’re away. We make a great team and understand how important it is to know your fur babies are in good hands. We’ll treat your pets like part of our family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. We’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry friend and give them a home away from home! 🐾 My husband and I are both early risers, with our day starting around 5 AM! During the school year, I work full-time as a preschool teacher and am home by 5 PM. Cam and I both work just five minutes away, so we’re able to come home during our lunch breaks between 12:45 and 2:15 PM to check on and spend time with your pets. We’re available before and after work, overnight, on weekends and holidays, and for extended stays. I’m happy to work around my teaching schedule to provide reliable, loving care and make sure your fur babies feel right at home! We have plenty of space around our home for walks and outdoor time. Our two cats are very friendly and comfortable around other animals. We have a 2 story house with a finished basement. We are able to accommodate crating/pet separation if needed and can care for multiple pets when appropriate.

About: I have always had a soft spot for animals. I began working in the medical field but once I became a stay at home mom I realized something was missing.. my heart was in the place to care for animals instead. When my youngest was just under 2 I started taking on small dog walking jobs to get us out of the house during Covid and enjoying some fresh air and I really just fell in love with it. I have my own "misfit farm" of unwanted animals and in my down time I am taking on dog walking/pet sitting. I am knowledgeable in many animals including dogs, cats birds, small animals, exotics and farm animals. I currently own a Great Pyrenees, two cane corsos, beagle and we recently lost our mini dachshund, a cat plus 3 rescue goats, bunnies and a ton of chickens. I can also help with basic training and using an E collar. Medications or special needs animals is also something I am comfortable with. I do have kids who love to go on walks with me when I am dog walking, but it is not necessary for them to come with . My dog sitting calendar is filling up quickly! At this moment I am boarding dogs on a case by case basis so just reach out and we can chat! I am available for house sitting, however cannot accommodate regular overnight stays but can accommodate frequent and lengthy visits. I am a mom to 3, but am pretty much open and available for your needs. Hanging out with animals is a strong passion of mine and I often use the extra cash to do things with my kids. I cannot accommodate overnights in my house sitting but can offer lengthy and frequent visits I am available for walking, feeding, caring, loving and walking your babies of whatever species and breed. I am extremely responsible and comfortable with administering medication if need be and am very cautious when it comes to walking or letting the animal outside or when it comes to rules you have for your pet. There is very little I wouldn't be able to do, so little I can't even think of one at the moment. You can trust that I will love and care for your animals like they were my own. I can even show you pictures and videos of my very spoiled pets for reference!

As a pet parent myself, I know how stressful it can be to choose the right person and leave your animals in someone else’s care. Before a booking, I prefer to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, triggers, medical needs, and what helps them feel comfortable. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, medications, walks, and household routines. During walks, I double-check collars and harnesses, keep dogs securely leashed, and remain attentive to our surroundings. During drop-ins and overnight stays, I’m mindful of doors, gates, and other potential escape points. I’ll treat your home with respect and will never bring another person into it without your permission. You’ll receive as many updates, photos, and videos as you’d like, so you always know what your pet is doing and how they are feeling. If I notice any concerning changes in their health or behavior, I’ll contact you promptly.

Ideal for pets who need extra comfort and prefer staying in their own home. When caring for others pets I treat them as my own. I always triple check doors are locked when I leave, and that there is nothing in reach that could be harmful to your pets. (human food, dog treats, toys etc)

I personally have a cat and have had dogs in the past, and I understand the stress put on the importance of finding someone that you can trust to watch your animals while you are away. Safety is my upmost concern and as a veterinary technician and a groomer, I am very experienced in dog and cat care and would love to babysit your little angel! My hours are not necessarily tied to a desk or computer either, so I am able to do walks freely throughout the day. Depending on the customers request, I am able to accommodate most housing accomodations. There is a room specifically designated in the house for the pet for the duration of the stay, which has toys, beds, food and water as well as a TV. it’s also a daybed for me as well so that I am able to stay in the room with your pet. My backyard is large and it’s open, however I will be keeping pers on-leash anytime they are outside.

I am open to traveling farther distances for 1+ week sits. I am attending VCU for my MSW M-F from 8-4, so I have limited availability for midday potty breaks/check-ins during the week, but I have open availability most evenings and weekends. For boarding requests, my partner works from my home and is available to offer potty breaks/check-ins for pets while I’m at school. I’m happy with staying overnight for housesitting or sharing my home for boarding! I have the utmost care and respect for my clients pets and homes and treat them as if they were my own.
