About: I have always had a dog in my family, currently i have six dogs ranging for a yorkie to an english mastiff! I’m experienced in giving various sized dogs medication in pill form. Monday through Friday I am available from 11am to 1pm, and any time after 3:30 pm. Saturday & Sunday I am available from 6am to 10:30pm with exceptions if needed! In a clients home I let the animals do what they would do on a regular day if owners were home, while still closesly monitoring to be sure they stay safe and behaved! I always like to try and play with the dogs before I leave so they’re not hyper and alone.

About: I have had dogs and various pets in my household since I was born and adore any animal. I am experienced in caring for puppies, senior dogs, and both large and small breeds. I understand that each pet has different needs and personalities and love helping to make a loving and safe space for them while their people are away. I am currently a full time Biology student at Marshall University. I can walk/check in on your pet(s) in the mornings, midday, or in the evenings. I am available to stay with your pet any nights. I will follow any instructions and schedule given. I like to make sure that pets get plenty of play and interaction time during the day and make it a priority to spend day time with your pets.

I loved that she came ready to discuss and write down all details about the dogs. She’s prompt, communicative, and my dogs took right to her. It’s been hard to find someone reliable and consistent and I’ve found that in Brittany.

About: Since I was five years old when we adopted our family puppy, I have been involved in taking care of dogs. I have also over 350 hours of shelter volunteer experience in walking dogs, giving medications, and obedience training. Since I am hoping to be a vet one day, I am always wanting to meet new animals and give them the best care possible! I currently work part-time, 3-5 days a week from 8-4. I can usually get away to let your dog out at lunch if needed. Bottom line is if I am pet-sitting for you, your animal will be my priority! I do not have the capacity to care for your pet in my house, but I can provide whatever level of care you need in for your pet in your own home! If you need me to stay the night, I can do that. I am a detail-oriented person so whatever your pet needs I feel confident I can provide it.

We used Makenzie for the first time last week and will definitely use her again! She is so easy to communicate with I loved the pics she sent. Milo was a little shy at first, but she won him over in no time.

About: I am looking to provide love and care to your fur babies when you aren’t able to. I have two fur babies of my own currently and have had many in the past. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all different shapes and sizes! I look forward to meeting your fur babies and caring for them like my own. I work as a bus driver so between my morning and evening run I have plenty of time to make stop ins and check on pet and/or take them for a walk. My partner works from home which provides a flexible schedule. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to care for your pets in my home due to our young children. However, your pets safety and comfort will be a top priority for me when coming into your home to care for them.

About: I used to be a kennel technician who walked dogs, practiced training, while offering playtime for them and cleaning up their space. I’ve always loved caring for animals and wildlife and want to branch out on my own. I have a very flexible schedule right now, all that’s needed is to message me and see how our availabilities line up! I integrate your pets life into mine. I have a variety of treats and food on hand, but will follow whatever diet your dog needs. I also have the time for high energy dogs or dogs that need training through e-collars or etc. I also own lots of toys and a large crate, or litter box if need be. If you have any more specific questions please ask!

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have cared for pets for most of my life. I’ve also helped friends and family with pet sitting on multiple occasions. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I attend school Monday–Friday and am available after 3 PM on weekdays. I’m completely free on weekends, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to give your pet the attention they deserve! I treat every pet like they’re my own. I stick to their normal routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure they get lots of love and attention while also keeping them safe and supervised. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, clean, and mindful of their space. I’m happy to send updates and pictures so you always know your pet is happy!

About: Use code: SKYEK54783 for $10 off your first booking! Hello, my name is Skye Kinser. I’m twenty-nine years old & grew up on an animal farm in West Virginia. I’ve helped my parents raise horses, goats, cows, llamas, guineas, chickens, cats, and dogs. I currently have a dog named Scout who is a Border Collie/Lab mix. I’m a recent graduate from Marshall University and I double majored in Business Administration and Marketing. I work from home full-time. I’ve been working for Rover since August 2018. I’ve taken care of several friend’s and client’s pets. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets during a single booking including cats, rabbits, etc. During the stay, I’m always available to communicate with you & send pictures/videos of your pet. I’m very patient, friendly, professional, have a good, positive attitude and have passed a background check and drug test. If you’d like a reference, I’d be more than happy to provide one from a previous/current employer, professor, or client. I’m completely open to a meet and greet. I’m hoping to meet pets and their owners in the community and build a relationship with each of you. I work from home full-time as an Account Manager, so I'll be available the majority of the day to care for your pet and provide updates to you. I have a outdoor fence available and have a Border Collie/Lab mix to keep your pup company. I'm always available for an update at your preference.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
