“Tovah was fantastic at communicating before and during the sitting reservation. She was polite, friendly, and I felt absolutely safe leaving my dogs in her hands. It was a weird week, and she was beyond professional with every twist and turn. Would 100% book her again.”

“Chanté F. arrived on time, was professional, kept in touch with us throughout the day and listened well to instructions. Appreciate Chanté F. care and time with our pup Kiley. Thank you so much”

About: Hi pet parents! I’m Marci, and I’ve been house and pet sitting for over 12 years with excellent references available upon request. I grew up in Southern Missouri around a wide variety of animals, which gave me early hands-on experience with training and daily care. Professionally, I’ve worked in both exotic and domestic animal environments, including a zoo setting caring for livestock (such as alpacas, ponies, and young camels) and aviary birds, as well as a high-volume dog boarding/daycare facility in Phoenix, AZ where I worked with 150+ dogs daily. This gave me a strong understanding of dog behavior, group dynamics, and handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’m confident with drop-in visits, walks, overnight stays, and maintaining your pet’s routine exactly as needed—including feeding, exercise, medication, and companionship. I especially enjoy walks, enrichment, and positive reinforcement training for puppies and energetic dogs, always prioritizing safety, structure, and calm, happy behavior. I’m dependable, communicative, and treat every home and pet with respect and care as if they were my own. I have reliable transportation and auto insurance for peace of mind. I currently live in Branson, Missouri and am a stay at home mom/photographer. My daughter is very gentle, calm, and accustomed to being around animals. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets (or home) and give you peace of mind while you’re away. My daily and weekly schedule is highly flexible and I am available for pet and home care nearly always. If for some reason I am I available my calendar should reflect that - or just ask because I might be available anyway. I am very mindful and cautious, especially when it comes to animals and children. In my home there are no small objects or sharp objects that could harm or be cause for choking hazards. I don’t feed your pet extra treats that aren’t approved by you, and I keep them safe by making sure doors are closed so they don’t run off.
About: I have had pets since I was in my 20’s. There’s only been one year in my adult life I didn’t have a pet of my own. My Pomeranian, Hank was diabetic requiring 2 insulin shots a day for 6 years. Then came Maizee, my toy Poodle. She lived to be 15. We just lost her in October 2025. I am still mourning my tiny little love. She had heart and kidney disease and required medication three times a day. Our remaining dog is Lucy. She is a Poodle too and the love of my life, just don’t tell my husband. My world revolves around her. I make her a homemade diet about every 3 weeks and I dehydrate meat for her treats. My husband always says when he dies he wants to come back as my dog. I haven’t had a job outside the home for 13-14 years. Since we recently lost Maizee I have more time. My husband didn’t administer her medications. My dog, Lucy also adores her dad making it possible to be away for short periods of time. Years and years ago I lost my Dachshund to the road. I was devastated! That incident made me aware of all the dangers they can encounter.
About: I have experience caring for animals through friends, family and coworkers! I enjoy going for walks and taking our fur babies, playing with toys, giving treats! I can also give medication if needed and making sure they use the bathroom, eat and give updates as well. I can provide care for any animal throughout the week with my schedule as a stay at home mom. If your fur babies need a place to stay, they are welcome. If you need multiple check in I'm very flexible! I have a fenced in yard along with enough yard for your babies to run! We have a lot of toys they can chew on and blankets to sleep on plus a couple couches. Multiple water bowls for indoors and outdoors and food bowls for indoors. Prescription medicine is given when needed and all my animals are very welcoming and up to-date on all shots.
About: I have watched my friends and families pets for years and want to treat your animals as my own! I have a service dog of my own and love meeting new pets! I am a full time homemaker but have a flexible schedule throughout the week! My schedule is easily adaptable for you and your pets needs. I am completely comfortable doing whatever is needed to accommodate your pet! No matter if it is taking your pet for walks or coming to your home to care for them you give me instructions, i follow! That is what I would want if someone was taking care of my pet!
About: Reliable and have always had an animal magnetism. I love to get to know the animals and whatever their specific needs are to help make them feel most comfortable. I’m part time at the moment, so, I’ll have ample time to spend with your pup! I can always work out a time to make it work for you. I have a lot of experience with dogs and can assure you that all of your pets needs will be more than taken care of. Please feel free to ask any questions.

About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience and genuine love for animals. I am a retired Quarter Horse and dog rancher with over 54 years of experience caring for animals of all kinds. Throughout my life, animals have never just been a job—they’ve been my passion, my pride, and my joy. I service BRANSON MO, TABLE ROCK AREA, I am Close to INDIAN POINT, SILVER DOLLAR CITY, AND THE CHATEAU OF THE LAKES HOTEL & RESORTS, 15 MINUTES TO THE ENTERTAINMENT. I live in a private gated and safe community. In addition to running a ranch, I’ve worked as a veterinary assistant, which gives me a deeper understanding of animal health, behavior, and safety. I’m comfortable recognizing signs of stress or illness and responding appropriately. I treat every animal in my care like family. Whether it’s a quick visit or an extended stay, your pets will be cared for with the same attention, patience, and love I’ve given my own animals for decades. Their comfort, safety, and happiness always come first. With my background, you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are in experienced, capable, and truly caring hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work during the day, but I dedicate my evenings and weekends to pet sitting, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, consistency, and care during those times. My schedule works especially well for pet owners who need reliable evening check-ins, overnight care, or weekend coverage. I make sure each visit is unhurried so your pets receive the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, so even with my daytime responsibilities, I prioritize making time to ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I care for pets in their home by keeping their routine consistent and their environment calm and safe. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, medications, and daily habits. With my background as a rancher and former veterinary assistant, I pay close attention to behavior and safety. I also treat every home with respect—keeping it clean, secure, and just as I found it. I provide updates so owners feel at ease, and I treat every pet like my own—with patience, care, and love.

I'm retired and living on a farm there is always something to do so im outside outsude a lot doing stuff and the dogs are always by my side or playing in the huge yard! About: I have taken care of senior dogs who are no longer themselves, dementia, potty issues, etc. I have taken care of kittens and puppies less than a week old as well ! I have an open schedule so most times of the day work for me. I would prefer nights or overnight sitting. It is very rewarding. I can easily defuse situations that aren’t going as planned. If crate training is something you do that’s no problem! I grew up around crate training and keeping your pet safe is my top priority!
“Gabrielle is a wonderful pet and house sitter. My dogs absolutely love her and we all look forward to the next time. Gabrielle was also very thoughtful and left flowers for me! I highly recommend her!!!”

About: Hello and welcome to our little side of dog paradise! I will need a meet and greet before I can commit to any extent of stay. All dogs must be current on shots and show no symptoms of infection or intestinal issues. Charlie, my last dog was a dachshund, she was not a good social fit for most dogs and we were very limited in taking her or leaving her with anybody. I loved her dearly but she was a total pill! Dottie our new cattle dog mix is just wonderful with other dogs, and because she loves to play...here we are on this site! Dottie is such a great host to all dogs in our house I thought why not? I work from home and also have times where I need to be gone but never for more than 3 hours at a time. I will never book if I am too busy to be a good dog parent. That is a promise. I have a flexible schedule that I am in charge of at all times. I would like to see a complete profile with photos to consider a booking. I am not looking to make this my primary business and only want to cater to the right pets that fit our life. I am not a dog trainer but do love them dearly when they are in my care. A good fit for us is a typical fun loving dog that likes everybody and wants to play and walk. I do believe another good fit would be the super lazy or old pet that just likes to lay around or be petted. I am all about them. They need to be house trained crate trained is a plus. I can’t take any aggressive tendencies toward kids, cats or other dogs. I would also like to avoid dogs that have intense anxiety or tend to be destructive. If our home sounds like a good fit reach out! Our days start early at 6:00am Monday-Friday, the weekends depend on our Schedule. We are also early to bed at 8:00pm so would like to avoid late pick ups but can understand if it’s a late flight or a long drive in a day to get back home. I Have a nice house in an awesome south east Springfield neighborhood, It comes with a wood 6ft privacy fence. I have a 9 year old kid who loves pets as well. We have Felix, a 3 year old male tabby who comes in and out on his own free will at all times of the day. He is indifferent to dogs, doesn't want to hang out with them but not going to bite or attack anybody. He is a good boy. Dottie is our new adopted dog. We got her from care rescue shelter in August 2025 to foster and eventually sealed the deal for keeps. She is a lovely little creature that loves to play and run around the backyard with her other dog buddies. Dottie has a crate and we still use it at times but she is pretty well allowed to roam around. She is crate trained and potty trained. Basically I am pretty easy dog mamma. If they need rest, they get it. If they want to play and run they can. They come in and out when they want. That's how we roll at our house.
About: I have 4 of my own dogs at home, I love hanging out with them and taking care of them but I do know that life gets busy and when your away you need someone to come and watch them for you! I get up in the morning and right away I take my dogs out and feed them and I take them out through out the day and feed them at night! I am able to feed them and watch them, my favorite thing to do is play with dogs! I also love giving them baths, and I love going on walks and it makes it so much more fun when you bring a dog along!
About: We love dogs! We are called first when any of our friends go out of town. We have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages from older doxies to young mutts and we love large rotties too. We are also okay with special needs dogs and we make sure your dog gets their medications when scheduled. Our lab loves to make new friends with dogs of all sizes. We have a nice privacy fenced in back yard with a kiddie pool to help the dogs keep cool during the summer even though they will spend most of the time inside. Please know that if your pup stays with us he or she will be treated like a part of the family. We love dogs! I help my Dad on his farm only when I'm not scheduled to care for a pup I'm hosting. I'm free to stay at home all day with your pet. I always keep an eye on what's going on. I'm usually outside if our pups are. If I'm watching a pet at your home, I don't make messes.
About: I have taken care of pets since I was a kid! I absolutely love pets and have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I can help with potty training, crate training, and obedience training. I will also send pictures and videos for peace of mind because everyone deserves that! I treat everyone’s animals like I would treat my own. I can’t wait to help you all with your pets. I currently clean homes for a living. I’m home a lot and could watch anyone’s pets whenever. I also have a husband who can help and a 7 year old kiddo who loves pets and would love your animals like her own. I have a fenced in yard and 2 fur babies to keep your animals company. We can also crate your fur baby if needed or ours no problem.
“What an absolute treasure to have Mary and Morgan taking care of my precious fur babies and my house full of plants, too! They were amazing and made me feel so confident in the care they provided to my two 90lbs people-loving lap- dogs! In fact Mary showered them with so much love and attention, I think they were hoping she was with me when I came home! Excellent communication prior, during, and day of return-even a special treat when I arrived back! Highly recommend this dynamic duo for your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort as well as your own peace of mind while traveling! Thank you ladies!”

“Highly recommended. Amy went above and beyond while watching our four dogs. She brought them toys and provided communication to me while I was away. She even spent time visiting with them before the scheduled time so they would be comfortable with each other. Amy is the best!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Powersite walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Powersite maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Powersite choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
