“Angel is the best! We appreciate the time and attention she gives to Rosie! Rosie loves when she comes over. She plays outside with her and makes sure she goes to the bathroom for the night. We are always very pleased!!!”

“The best!!! Reliable! Trustworthy! Genuine! I rescued a dog that had been in a crate/shelter for 6 years! He has severe PTSD and wouldn't allow anyone around but me, and now Rebecca. She's been a lifesaver.”

“Teresa is the best!! She took care of my cat for 3 weeks. She was really patient with him. He is messy when it comes to using his litter box but she was kind enough to understand and take care of him. Would definitely work with her in the future. Would definitely recommend her for your fur babies.”

“Jessalyn was awesome with my boys and they loved her! I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She kept me informed and was always on time and reliable. I will definitely use her again in the future when needed.”

“Emilio did a great job of making daily visits to my home and spending time with my cat. He went above any beyond and made sure that my cat was healthy and cared for while I was away. Thank you!”

“Jess was great! She took excellent care of our dogs and cat during our drop in visits. She was reliable, attentive, and made sure they were well cared for while we were away. We felt very comfortable having her check on them and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you Wendy so very much. I'm very stressed about who watches my fur babies. I worries about them . Especially since we have moved to a new area and want the best care for them. Thank you for taking care of them. I'm greatly appreciative.”

“I would give her a 100 star review, the best sitter I have had. She treat them like her own brought them treats and toys. Spent extra time with them and made sure they were well taken care of. I cannot express how grateful I am for such a giving and caring person when it come to animals.”

“Ava is the best! I booked her while I was gone for the holidays and she made sure my two kitties were checked in and cared for. She always gave very detailed descriptions of what occurred during her visit and included photos of my cats. I couldn’t recommend more!”

“Kaitlyn was amazing! She communicated well with us and made sure to send lots of updates and pictures of our babies. We will for sure be using her again. Definitely recommend her. 10/10”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of helping friends and family with taking care of their animals since a very young age. I love all animals! I work full time and sometimes get off late (7pm) but always have free time after work! I go in at 7:30am so could drop in before that. I have my own dog at home so while I am home I could let them roam around freely but whenever it is bedtime they will both go in a crate just in case they decide they do not enjoy each other.
“Cameron did an outstanding job looking after our pets while we were away. He left frequent updates and sent adorable photos/videos. I would highly recommend booking with him when you need a pet sitter.”

“Crispin is Awesome! She’s caring, loving and gentle with our senior tabby, Taz. Crispin communicated often with photos and details of her visit with Taz. We highly recommend Crispin to care for your fur babies.❤️”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
