“Desiree is awesome! I greatly appreciate her being available last minute, working with my schedule for a meet and greet the day before, and taking amazing care of my 2 pups! The love and attention she showed them was exactly what I hoped for. Will definitely use her in the future.”

“Becca was very sweet and attentive to our babies needs! She kept us updated with daily pictures and messages about how they were doing. Will definitely continue hiring her in the near future!”

“Julia was amazing, flexible, respectful and professional. I will definitely use her again. We need up only needing her for about 7 hours but originally planned on 3-4 days not due to her. I look forward to having her back. Recommend her.”

“Donai did an amazing job caring for my babies! I have an eclectic mix of animals - a dog, a cat, and a bearded dragon. She came to meet everyone and really get to know them and their routines before her stay, and then provided updates throughout the weekend. I definitely recommend using Donai!”

“Bayley was so awesome watching Millie over the weekend! I got plenty of pictures and messages, and was able to rest assured that Millie was well cared for while I was out of town!”

“Jenna watched our two giant dogs for a quick trip. She sent photo and video updates, letting us know how they were doing. It went great and I’ll definitely be rebooking next time!”

“Emm was an absolute delight to have watching our dogs! We know that our pups can be a bit of a handful with their energy levels, but Emm handled their enthusiasm and food aggression problems with aplomb. Everything had been cleaned and washed when we got home, which was very appreciated, and the dogs were clearly happy and well cared for, which is the most important thing to me.”

“Emma was amazing! She kept me updated constantly on how my dog was doing and provided excellent care. I came home to a very happy dog. Very grateful for all her help!”

About: I have 2 dogs (2 golden retrievers) and 2 cats! I’ve lived my whole life with pets and would love to help out others with theirs! I work at a restaurant as a server so typically only work 5 hours shifts so I am very open to fill food, water, and take dogs on walks or play with cats! I love taking long walks with my dogs, and I am always there to play with them and spend time with them so they feel loved
About: I grew up in a home full of animals, including two cats, a dog, a bearded dragon, and a tank of colorful fish, and also loved taking care of neighbor's pets when they traveled. I also had the opportunity to look after my sister's senior cat during the pandemic, including administering his bevy of daily meds. Although my current state in life makes having a pet of my own impractical, I continue to spend lots of time with animals, including my parents enormous rescue dog and a neighbors' sweet orange cat who I look after when she travels. I would love to help out with your pet care needs, and can even attempt to teach your furry friend anatomy or pharmacology (I'm in med school), although I can't guarantee they'll listen :) As a student, my schedule is fairly flexible and I can work with you to find a time that is ideal for both of us. Generally, I'm free for drop ins in the morning and evenings, as well as any time on weekends. I know that it's a huge act of trust to allow someone into your home and even more so to have them take care of your pet. Having always had pets growing up, I know that they all have their own quirks and different personalities, often known only to their owner. I promise to care for each pet as an individual, taking into account their (and your) preferences and wishes. I also aim to maintain good communication so you never have to wonder how they're doing in your absence.
“Kate was great! She was super communicative and sent us lots of pictures while we were gone. We could tell our pup had good exercise and was well taken care of while we were gone, and our house was just as we left it. We will definitely book Kate again in the future!”

“Alan was awesome housesitting my German Shepherd tri-pod mix for a week. I needed someone last minute and not only was he able to do it, he met me for a meet and greet with just a day's notice. He was super thorough with asking about her needs, put ointment on her nose daily, took her on multiple walks a day and sent me photos. Definitely recommend and will use him again.”

“Brandon is an amazing dog sitter! He treated all of our dogs like his own and was super dependable. He came over and met the dogs prior to his first stay with them and got along great. He isn’t afraid of asking questions and is very kind. We will definitely be using him again.”

“Mary was absolutely WONDERFUL cannot recommend her enough!! Left our house beautifully clean and the animals absolutely loved her! She even brought them some parting toys on her way out, so nice! Tons of updates and pictures, felt extremely safe with her on our home 🩷 even our super shy kitty loved her!!”
“Amber was very accommodating of our last minute request. We were glad to know our cat and dog were taken care of while we were away. She sent a few updates throughout the day and pictures were sent on request.”

“Highest recommendation! Penny represents the utmost in professional care for your pets. We had the great fortune of using her in-home pet sitting while away on vacation. From the get-go, Penny set herself apart with highly responsive communication and respectful punctuality. She was immediately at ease with our pets, and provided numerous daily update photos so we knew everything was going well while we were away. Going further, she patiently provided the extra care our senior dog needs in terms of daily medication and food preparation. Penny is everything a great pet sitter should be!”

About: I am grateful to have had the opportunity to help out my neighbors, friends, and family for any pet visits, walks, and general house/pet-sitting for the last 5 years. I currently have two cats, Noam and Andre who are my dear children that my world revolves around. Please reach out with any additional questions. I am available Monday through Friday for morning and afternoon walks and visits. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in multiple visits or walks a day. I am available for dog walks and cat + dog visits. I am a Germantown resident, so I'm accepting clients who are within a 5-minute walk in order to provide multiple visits and/or walks per day. Please feel free to provide me with any special routine or instructions that your pet may need or prefer. I'm happy to accommodate them to make them feel content and safe while their parent is away.
“Kayla watched our two dogs for the first time while we were out of town. She provided daily updates and pictures, and we felt very comfortable with her staying in our home! She didn’t give up on warming to our older dog who was all but friendly initially. They ended up becoming the best of friends ❤️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Portland
Brooke was so wonderful with our two dogs!!! It was such a relief to find someone to take care of both our dogs while all my family was out of town. She did great giving one dog medicine and with making food for a picky dog. Also our house was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Brooke and I will be using her again.

Having to choose a random person on-line to stay in the sanctity of your home and treat your animals like family is on the list of “most difficult decisions.” We moved here from out of State and don’t know anyone. We have had to start from scratch in every aspect of life. Finding the right “fit” was a massive stress and undertaking. Word of mouth didn’t apply just moving here. We relied on Rover and we found an Angel. Not to be corny, but to those whose critters are their EVERYTHING- Angel 😇 is our best description. Ryan stayed at our home for ten days. He was gracious enough to come by my home three times before the actual “job” to make friends with my neurotic Pomeranian. So when he did come to stay, it wouldn’t be such a shock to her little mind. Ryan is kind, and a gentleman. I could totally tell he has been around all sorts of dog personalities as he spoke to Peanut on her level. He fulfilled everything asked of him, with no hesitation. I have never been so pleased and so content with a petsitter in my 50 odd years of life. I’ve gone from stressing out about finding a petsitter to stressing out that Ryan retires! To our family, he is irreplaceable. We will use Ryan in the future for everything . Now that we can have a life again and can actually go places together and the places don’t have to be “dog friendly!” Finding the best petsitter is absolutely priceless. Thank you Ryan, I have a new peace in my heart ❤️
