About: I grew up with dogs and have always been around animals. I now have two cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for both dogs and cats of different ages and personalities. I’m a fourth-year medical student with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be reliable, attentive, and available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins. I’m also training for a half marathon, so I’m very active and happy to take dogs on longer walks or runs depending on their energy level and comfort. Whether your pet prefers a relaxed stroll or a more energetic outing, I’ll make sure they get the care, exercise, and attention they deserve. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize safety, communication, and your pet’s well-being.
About: I have been taking care and sitting pets since I was 16. I was raised having both cats and dogs, I love animals and playing with them! I am currently a student at the University of Louisville! Therefore, I have the time to be able to be a sitter and be flexible to accommodate needs and wants. At my house I have a dog and cats, they are well fed according to their schedule. While at other people’s homes I accommodate to the wants and needs of the clients as well as what their fur babies may need. For example, longer more frequent walks, or more playtime and attention.
“Alan did really good job caring for Peyton. Did everything I had asked for. I plan on using again next time I need someone to care for my black lab. Highly recommended. Thanks”

About: I’ve loved dogs (and cats) since I can remember! I’ve taken care of dogs for about 3 years now, whether that be family, friends, and/or neighbors pets. I am a full time student at the University of Louisville but will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available during the week and some weekends. I keep my eyes on your fur baby at all times to ensure they’re not getting into any trouble and are safe. Will follow all instructions regarding your fur baby.
“Montana was fantastic! We were so nervous as we had never left our babies before. I wrote way too many notes and she read and followed them all and took amazing care of all of our puppies. They absolutely loved her and I couldn’t have been happier 🩷🩷 Thank you for taking such good care of our babies 🩷🐺🐾”

“Jenna watched our two giant dogs for a quick trip. She sent photo and video updates, letting us know how they were doing. It went great and I’ll definitely be rebooking next time!”

“I am so glad Donai was in town and able to sit for Leo on such short notice. I had Donai sit before Rover and did an amazing job, Leo loves Donai and I was updated with pictures during the visits. I give 5 stars for sure! Highly recommended ❤️”

About: Animals bring me so much joy, especially dogs. I truly think they are part of the family and I will treat yours as if they were children. I have almost always had one furry friend or another including cats, dogs, and rabbits. I currently have a large senior dog who needs a little special care and daily medication so I am comfortable giving those if needed. Exercise is also very important whether its going for multiple walks or just playing in the house or yard. Let me take care of your pets when you can't. I have full availability weekdays and weekends for boarding. I can also provide walks any time of the day, whatever works best for your schedule. Whatever your dog needs, I can provide. I like to be at your home because that's where your pet is most comfortable. My fur baby has anxiety worse than most people I know so I know how to be patient while giving extra love. Treats also help.
“Kalin was wonderful with caring for my pets & home! Prior to us leaving for vacation she stopped by to meet the pets and learn their routines. While we were gone she texted me updates of their days. We came home to the clean house we left. We will definitely be using her again!!!”

“Fantastic job making my pups feel comfortable and treated them like family. She had them for a week and sent me multiple pictures a day of my sweet babies. Super responsive to messages and I will be rebooking her! Thanks 😊”

“Becca was very sweet and attentive to our babies needs! She kept us updated with daily pictures and messages about how they were doing. Will definitely continue hiring her in the near future!”

About: Things that set me apart from other sitters are I can give love, attention and stimulation to the animal. I have a German shepherd that needs lots of stimulation to keep him occupied! It could fit into my daily and weekly routine easily because I am a nanny and could easily stop what we are doing and go and let them out and give them lots of attention and cuddles. I currently have a year and a half year old German shepherd which comes with lots of attention and brain games for him. I also have a cat that is more laid back
About: I have never met a dog that didn’t like me. If it can bark, I’m probably going to be on its good side for sure. I am a tennis pro and I usually travel for work so when I’m home, I’m free to watch the dogs almost all the time. Being a tennis pro, I keep some tennis balls within arms reach. Outside of the fun stuff though, I’m practically always available and what better way to use that time than to play with dogs. At my home it is fenced in so my dogs have a place to run around. With the clients home, I can make it fun and safe within the parameters that they set like I’ve done in my home.

About: I have take care of many dogs, and different types of animals, including dogs, cats, and bunnies. I got a family dog when I was in elementary school, and learned the necessities food, water, bathroom, playtime and walking. He often needed to be handfed due to some depression. I dog sat and babysat at the same time for one toddler and two dogs, and learned a lot about behaviors with dogs and kids. They were the best dogs! I also cared for my roommates bunnies when she was gone. I currently work in animal welfare for cats and have a cat of my own! I am off of work Fridays-Sundays and am looking to care for animals when I am not working my full time job. Eventually, I want to freelance in film production in Louisville, and this provides some flexibility while also doing something I am passionate about! In my home, my cat has an automatic feeder that goes off at 7am and 2pm. I keep my bedroom door cracked so he can go in and out as he pleases to the litterbox and around the house and to eat. I typically wake up and give him cuddles before work/the day starts. When I come home at night, I cuddle him again, and give him wet food (shreds) with his allergy medication. This is typically between 7pm-10pm. I always play with him after he eats and some before bed. He loves his feather wands!
About: I’ve grown up around animals, including horses, and often care for friends’ dogs. I’m patient, attentive, and love giving pets meaningful interaction, exercise, and dependable daily care. I’m a fourth-year medical student with a mostly asynchronous online schedule, so I’m home often with a very flexible routine, making me consistently reliable for pet care. I live alone in a quiet, very walkable neighborhood and can closely follow your pet’s routine. I’m home often, very accessible, and provide safe, consistent supervision.

About: Hi there! My name is Hannah, and I’m 29 years old. I’ve always been an animal lover, but dogs hold a special place in my heart. I’d love to spend some quality time with your furry friends sometime this weekend, whether it’s in the mornings or the evenings. Unfortunately, I had to give up my Siberian husky when my family had to move. It’s been a tough time, and I miss the companionship of dogs dearly. I genuinely hope to find a way to make the dogs and their owners happy. I’ve also had experience watching dogs for people, and I’m quite comfortable with cats as well. My family has an outdoor cat that loves to hunt and be around people. I’ve done dog and cat sitting multiple times in my life, and I’m confident that I can provide the care and attention that these animals need. However, I need to be mindful of my living situation. I live in a house with roommates, and we’d prefer that I don’t bring an animal into the house. I understand that this might be a concern, but I assure you that I’m committed to finding a solution that works for everyone involved. I’m currently available to walk and hang out with your dog as long as you’d like. I don’t have a job but will still be looking for one. I can’t have a pet at home, but if a guest has a fence, I can let the dog out when I’m at the house.
California pet parents share their Rover experiences
Alexina was great with our pups! She came over early to meet them and see where everything in the house was. She is polite and prompt and we definitely recommend her for a home stay! She took great care of our dogs, one with special needs for a week. We came home from our trip to very happy pups!
Brooke was fantastic! She stayed with our 2 dogs and 2 cats for 5 days/5 nights. Her communication was impeccable. She provided multiple updates and pictures daily. We have a very rambunctious German Shorthaired Pointer, and Brooke was so very patient with him. She is also a cat whisper as she convinced our extremely shy kitty to come out of his normal hiding place. She went above and beyond to brush our dogs’ teeth, walk our crazy pups, and even put our recycling cans out for pickup. Brooke gave our fur kids lots of attention and left the house tidy. I would highly recommend Brooke for any pet sitting needs!

Emily has got it all together. Rover is lucky to employ her. She did terrific with our 4 yr old Golden Retriever so much so I think he was sad to see us come in and not Emily. We have very shy cats and everyday she did her best to become friends with them.We would not hesitate to use Emily again!
DeAndria was absolutely amazing to our pups! One of our dogs requires a lot of attention & patience and she met his needs flawlessly. They got lots of love, snuggles, and walks! She sent us photos every day too which was much appreciated. We will absolutely book with her again!

Jackie was a great communicator when it came to any concerns I had. I appreciated the photos I got of my dog every day and the fact that she stayed with her overnight. Jackie followed my directions when it came to walking and feeding which I appreciated. Thanks girl!

Rachel was awesome! We contacted her with very short notice and she was so kind and accommodating to meet our schedule! She was also incredible with our big girl! She was extremely communicative and let us know when medicine was given and sent a lot of cute videos and pictures. Elwood felt comfortable with her instantly and it was such a piece of mind to have Rachel stay with us. It would be a pleasure to have Rachael dog sit for us again!

Blue stayed with my two big, anxious dogs and very bratty cat while I was at my sister’s wedding and did a great job. They asked good questions at the meet n greet, gave regular updates while I was away, and I could tell my boys all loved them. Absolutely would book again — thanks, Blue!
