I am currently on my gap year between undergraduate and medical school, so pet care will be my full time job! I am able to stay the majority of the day at client's homes if needed, but may need to step out for an hour or two to get food and/or groceries for my stay. Feel free to discuss your pet's schedule with me, and we can figure out a plan that works for everyone!

I always try to meet with the family before sitting or dropping-in so that I understand how any pets are used to their home feeling. I will follow all instructions left by the owners, and try to keep a loving and clean environment for the animals. I also try to be very communicative with owners about any questions or concerns, and will gladly provide daily pictures/videos of animals to the owners. I also love playing with animals and making sure they get enough activity so they can get some fresh air and love! Additionally, I am a pre-medical student and have many hours of emergency experience with basic life support (BLS) and have taken a veterinary BLS course. I know how to administer CPR and perform the Heimlich maneuver on cats and dogs. I also have experience administering injected medication and subcutaneous fluids to cats and dogs. (I do not have experience administering care to additional animals at this time.) I also look up the closest veterinary ER prior to a stay, and am prepared to drive any animals in case of an emergency.

Let me know ahead of time if your pet has any medical or special needs so I can research and prepare myself to take care of them! Additionally, please let me know if your pet is very large or strong and likes to pull on walks or be aggressive. I like to think I'm reasonably strong, but I would prefer being prepared so that I don't get hurt while walking or playing with your pet!
A typical day
I love to spend time with animals even if we aren't playing or on a walk. This could be watching a movie together, playing music, or just reading a book on the couch and having some relaxing time together. I also love to plan activities throughout the day that will be fun for pets, such as playtime with their favorite toys, going for a walk to their favorite spot, or coming up with something new to do that's fun or exciting! I also love hearing the owner's input about what their pets like to do so I can have an individualized approach to each animal.

Hi, I'm Brooke! I'm a recent UofL grad and love meeting new furry friends! I’ve been around animals my whole life, as I grew up with both cats and dogs, and began caring for neighbors’ pets at 10 years old. Since then, I’ve had years of experience with house sitting, daily walks, and drop-in visits for neighbors and family friends, often working through word of mouth and personal recommendations. I’ve worked as both a stay-in pet sitter and a weekly dog walker, and I love making sure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. I have experience caring for puppies, kittens, high-energy animals, and senior pets with special needs, and am comfortable adapting to a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. Brooke was so wonderful with our two dogs!!! It was such a relief to find someone to take care of both our dogs while all my family was out of town. She did great giving one dog medicine and with making food for a picky dog. Also our house was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend Brooke and I will be using her again.
Brooke was so lovely! We booked her for a 2-day cat sitting service in our home while we were away on our honeymoon. She was taking over for our MIL, so we weren’t there to meet her when she started, but Brooke did a meet and greet before our trip. She gave us plenty of updates, including photos, throughout her stay. The cats were clearly well taken care of and happy to have someone with them. Brooke cleaned up the guest room before leaving and left everything nice and tidy. Highly recommend!
Brooke was amazing. She came buy a few days before we needed her to meet the dogs. She arrived on time for sitting, the dogs loved her. She took great care of our house and our two dogs. She provided us updates and photos throughout the stay. We couldn't be happier with her!
Brooke was fantastic! She stayed with our 2 dogs and 2 cats for 5 days/5 nights. Her communication was impeccable. She provided multiple updates and pictures daily. We have a very rambunctious German Shorthaired Pointer, and Brooke was so very patient with him. She is also a cat whisper as she convinced our extremely shy kitty to come out of his normal hiding place. She went above and beyond to brush our dogs’ teeth, walk our crazy pups, and even put our recycling cans out for pickup. Brooke gave our fur kids lots of attention and left the house tidy. I would highly recommend Brooke for any pet sitting needs!
